Author here! Xyellowcake, I accidentally typed your name wrong, sorry! I edited it though. The OC is here! You should know her when you read her. She is energetic, but not overbearing once you get to know her! She is a colorful being, and is a great friend. She is like a cross between Dottie, Kawaii-Chan, and she gets mad as Katelyn when you mess with her friends! Thank you Xyellowcake, and all my Belladonnas.  Whisp Pov. Modern day. Age 18

   I woke up in a van, tied up. Nicola was crouched down by me. She doesn't seem to realize I'm awake. I had no clear way out, except... I could test my theory about my parents. I already know how to use some elements. Maybe lightning is no different? I try to gather all the static electricity around me. I feel a spark at the tips of my fingers. I try to utilize it, and I make it grow bigger. I make a small ball of electricity. I throw it at the bottom of the van. I hear a large explosion, and my ears start to ring. My vision blurs. I see Doc, and Nicola escape, leaving me in a car about to explode! I close my eyes, loosening my body, expecting a pain that never comes. The car does explode, but I don't feel a thing! I fall asleep, covered in ash, and shrapnel.

   Max Pov.

  Whisp, I couldn't get her out of my mind. She helped us escape, and she paid the price for helping us. It didn't help that she was as pretty as a wild fire, and yes I find those beautiful since I've discovered my knack for making fire. I was training with the crew, in a forest near our houses. We had told our parents that we wanted to go on a vacation, but really we were headed to help her. We remembered that the asylum was near a city called Silver Den. So we were on our way there. I couldn't drive legally, so we are waiting for our flight. Shelby is the only one of us with a sibling. Her parents wouldn't let her go without him. He was her older brother, Red, and we haven't told him what we're actually doing. We can't.

   "Max, you're staring into space again! We need to train!" Adam complains.

   "I'm just... thinking... about her." I respond. Adam growls at the back of his throat without realizing. Way to be obvious Max. I think bitterly. Sky starts to throw a few puffs of air at me, and I fire back. Literally. Adam dodges some, and he also puts a few out with bursts of air. We throw a set at the same time, he knocks me flat on my ass, and I light his pant leg on fire! He recovers by stop drop and rolling. I get up, and we hear Jin yell, 

    "Our flight is going to be here in an hour." We stop, and head for the airport.

  Whisp Pov.

I woke up, but not where I fell asleep. I woke up in a cave, with bones scattered around me. I sit up, alert. I hear a snarl, and I whirl around to see at least seven wolves! I stop to think for a moment. Irene could talk to animals, right?! I tentatively say,

  "Do you hear me?" I lower my eyes to the bones on the floor.

  "You speak our tongue?! What kind of human are you?!" The biggest wolf snarls, obviously the Alpha male. I was surprised it worked! I bow my head in reverence,

  "The not human kind. My name is Whisp, and I am a daughter of Irene. I speak all wild tongues fluently. Please have mercy. I can help your pack." I say in an even tone. Not wanting to trigger him. 

  "You must stay, and prove yourself." The red furred Alpha says. But I see a large gray female, probably an Alpha too, speak up,

 "Really, you're letting a non wolf join the pack?! Have you lost your mind?!" She says angrily. She charges at me, and I reflexively dodge.

  "Stop Shira! You can't attack her unless she challenges you!" The male barks. Shira tries to swipe at me anyways! I found my way to prove myself!

  "Shira I challenge you for Alpha female! Will the Alpha male recognize my claim to leadership, and rite of passage?" I say between dodges.

  "The Alpha male recognizes, and will allow this. Shira becomes Omega if she loses. But if you lose, you die. I hope for your safety, Shira is a tyrant!" He accepted! I swing with all my strength, and suddenly Shira is on the floor! The other wolves seem surprised, and they bow to me. I look to the male for guidance. He dips his head, saying,

   "I hereby sentence Shira as Omega. Providing Whisp, daughter of animal friend Irene name of Alpha female, a spot in the pack, title of animal friend, and the honorary title of wolf." I was surprised! I have that much say in wolf affairs?! 

  "Whisp, Alpha female accepts." I say gratefully. I notice a beaten, and thin looking male in the corner looking gratefully at me. The former Omega. 

  Shubbs Pov.

  I took a seat next to Ross in the back of the plane. I blushed a little, but I don't think he noticed. He looked at his feet. Was what Whisp said true? Does he like me back?! I fell asleep eventually. He did too, and when I woke up I was in heaven! Ross must have accidentally fallen asleep on my shoulder! I pretend to sleep to make this last, and I notice Max taking pictures! I blush a deep red, and I eventually drift off again. I woke up to the plane jolting, turbulence! I feel Ross wake up, and he starts to apologize!

  "I-I'm so s-sorry! I fell asleep, and m-my head must h-have rolled, and-" I cut him off,

  "It's ok Ross. I'm fine with it." The plane jerks once more, and then seems to settle. He nods, then we fall asleep again.

  Whisp Pov.

  I need to get used to this. I thought, laying in a den, next to the wolf cave. I slowly drift off, thinking about my friends. They probably will forget you easily, I reasoned with myself. I felt the embrace of sleep. I welcome it.

  I wake up to the Alpha male, who I learned has a name, Blaze. He is nudging me awake.

  "Wake up Alpha Whisp, there is someone I want you to meet! She is kinda like you. Not fully wolf!" He nudges me again, I sit up groggily. Suddenly I am pounced on by a small yellow wolf! She starts to frantically lick my face! Blaze runs out of the den saying, "Good luck!" She starts to energetically ramble,

  "Hey Alpha Whisp I'm your guide! My name is Dandelion, but you can call me Dandy! I'm a werewolf! Are you a human?! You're cool! I like you! Do you think we'll be friends?! I do, best friends! Do you like us?! I like us! You seem nice! Shira was mean! I think she left the pack in shame! I like your name! It sounds cool!" I just nod when a question comes up. To be honest I really liked her. She seemed like she doesn't have many secrets, and I like that a lot. I suddenly feel a bigger weight on my chest. I look up to see a brunette with hazel eyes, and gold ears, and a gold tail with a brown tip. She was the cutest girl I've ever seen, tied with Shelby, of course! She was like Shubbs and that ice cream cone I got as a reward for my fastest time in the maze, combined!

   Later she gave me a tour of the nearby dens, "And that one is for the elders! They have been a help to the pack, so we honor them! There is Sun, Moon, Day, and Night, all part of the same litter! There is also, Sylvannah, Eric, and Zianna!" She nods to a den made out of a small tunnel.

  She points at the den I woke in earlier, "That one is for the fit and able warriors! They are super cool! There is Ryland, Maria, Aaron, and a few others! I'm still considered a pup, so I live in the nursery over there with my adoptive mother, Dottie! She is mate to our Alpha Blaze! (Don't hate on the ship! Blottie forever!) My mom, and dad are still really protective of me!"

  She looks at another one. "Anyways this den has the second in command to Blaze, Daniel! He isn't much of a fighter, but he knows which herbs are used in medicine! It is super useful!" She seems to tire a bit, and she calms down,

  "This one is for Blaze, and you. There is a separate part of the den for each of you, so you get your own space." I respond,

   "Okay! It was nice meeting you Dandy! I like you a lot, and it is great to have a nice girl around!" I head off for the den. I find an untouched area, with a bed of moss. I like it! I never had a bed in my old room. Only a dog crate! I sit there, personalizing my area. I move the bed around, and I use my hoodie as a pillow. I don't need a blanket it is too hot outside! I add a few feathers to the bed. I got those from the cave from earlier. I lay down, but I don't fall asleep I just sit there, thinking.
