2016 ― Tree Hill, North Carolina

Lucas and Logan walked into Dan's dealership together as he was walking out of his office with some papers in his hands. They were going to tell him to leave Keith alone. Even though they don't trust Jules, they love their uncle and he's happy. If Jules claims she loves him, they are willing to believe them and leave them alone to be happy.

"Are you going to leave Keith and Jules alone?" Logan snapped. Dan looked up, he was amused to see Logan and Lucas there together.

"Oh, look, my wonder twins are together," He said. Logan rolled her eyes, but she didn't comment. "I'm thinking about it," He said.

"Look, he's happy for once. He's getting married... don't screw that up," Lucas snapped at him. By the look of surprise that came across Dan's face, the twins knew that Dan didn't know Keith and Jules were engaged. Logan doesn't blame Keith, she wouldn't have told Dan either if she were Keith.

"They're getting married?" Dan asked. The twins remained silent and Dan had his answer. "I'll tell you what... I'll leave them alone if you give me the chance to prove to you that I can be a good father," Dan said.

"Are you talking to me or him?" Logan asked.

"Both of you, Logan. I know I raised you, but I still failed you. Let me prove to both of you that I can be a good father," He repeated again. Lucas and Logan looked at each other. They were trying to hold back their laughter, but then they turned to Dan.

"Well, how are you going to do that, huh? Get a lobotomy?" Lucas asked. Logan laughed and the twins knocked their fists against each other.

"No," Dan said as he took a step closer to them. "Both of you move in with me."

Logan was now at school.

After the bombshell that Dan dropped, she needed to get out of there. She didn't know if she should tell Nathan or not, because if she told Nathan, she'd have to tell him everything. But she knew one thing was for sure, she was not moving in with Dan Scott. Lucas was going to have to be enough for him. She was thinking she would negotiate to be there on weekends, but she could not move back into that house.

Logan noticed Haley at her locker, but she didn't say anything. Taylor confirmed with Logan that Haley and Chris did kiss before Chris left for the tour. Logan couldn't believe that Haley would do that to her brother, and she knew Haley only stayed and didn't join Chris on tour out of guilt. Logan was relieved when she saw Peyton approaching.

"And there she is! Back from her romantic getaway with Jake... fill me in all the dirt," Logan said with a smile. Peyton smiled as she shook her head.

"Actually... I think Haley is the only one who has any," Peyton said. Logan and Peyton both turned to Haley, who closed her locker when she heard her name and looked at the girls. "I have to ask you something," She said.

"Yeah?" Haley asked.

"Did you kiss Chris?" Peyton asked. Haley looked at Logan first and was surprised she was giving no reaction, and then she turned back to Peyton.

"How did you know about that?" Haley asked.

"That is seriously not important," Logan snapped.

"It was a goodbye kiss," Haley said and Logan scoffed.

"That's bull. You're married. To my brother!" Logan snapped.

"And a kiss with tongue? Haley, what's going on with you? You know how ugly everything got with me, Brooke, and Lucas, and there were no wedding rings involved in that scenario," Peyton said. Haley sighed as she looked at them.

"Look, he just... he just kissed me, and I let him, and it was a really stupid thing to do. But it didn't mean anything, you know?" She said. Logan shook her head.

"A kiss always means something."

After school, Logan caught up with her brother Lucas, and they discussed the terms with Dan. Logan said she absolutely refused to move back into the house. She hated to play this card, but she used her eating disorder. She said her urges were worse while she was living in that house before she and Nathan emancipated herself and she can't go back, not full-time. She said she would come and stay on the weekends, and Lucas understood. He didn't want her to fall deeper into her disorder, even though he didn't know she already had.

Logan was working her shift at the cafe when Lucas walked in with a smile on his face. "Hey," He greeted them. Karen smiled when she saw her son.

"Hey... you're a lifesaver. Deb is out of town and I'm backed up on deliveries," Karen said. She was right. Logan had no idea where her Mom went, and honestly, she didn't care. Her mom is a grown woman and it's not her business.

"Oh, okay, no problem. I'll pack up the car, but first... the test results came," Lucas said as he held up a piece of paper. Logan already knew the truth. Lucas does have HCM, but the results he was about to show his Mom were Keith's negative ones. The other reason Lucas is moving in with Dan is because he offered to pay for Lucas' HCM medication. "I don't have HCM... Keith's okay too," He said.

Relief washed over Karen's face as she hugged her son. "Thank goodness. I don't think I would've been able to take it if there was something wrong with your heart too," Karen said. Lucas smiled as he hugged her back.

"I know," He said.

"We should celebrate... Anything you want," Karen said. Lucas looked at his sister over Karen's shoulder and she shrugged. He knew what he was going to say, and he had to do it now or never.

"Um, well... I want to move in with Dan," Lucas said. Karen handed the test results back to Lucas as she laughed.

"Right, and I wanna drive metal spikes into my eyes," She said.

"Look, I know it sounds crazy, okay? But college is going to start in a few years...-" Karen cut Lucas off when she realized he wasn't joking.

"...-You're serious?" She asked.

"Yeah. I want to move in with Dan," Lucas said.

"Over my dead body! You are still 17 and I am still your mother. What is this really about? What's going on?" Karen snapped. She looked at Logan, who remained silent, and then she turned back to her son. Lucas sighed.

"Nothing! And I know this comes as a surprise to you... and I'm sorry Mom... but this is what I want, okay?"

The next morning at school, Logan was walking with Peyton. She spent the majority of last night with Roman because Haley and Nathan were having issues and Haley was arguing with Taylor too. So she stayed at Roman's until the coast was clear. "Hey!" Haley's voice came from behind them.

"Hey," Peyton greeted her.

"Hi," Logan said.

"So... Nathan found out that I kissed Chris," Haley said.

"Oh, so you finally told him the truth for once in your life?" Logan asked. Peyton nudged her friend and gave the 'be nice,' look, but Logan didn't want to be nice. She lied to Nathan about Chris the night of the sleepover and now she's lying to him again.

"No, my idiot sister has been emailing Chris under my screen name because apparently the drama in her own life isn't enough and Nathan found the emails," She said.

"Taylor showed me the messages that she sent, and they weren't that many, so why are you trying to make it seem like she's been talking to him for a while?" Logan asked. Haley sighed.

"How did Nathan take it?" Peyton asked.

"I just told him that Taylor made it all up," Haley said and Logan rolled her eyes.

"So you lied... again, and threw your own sister under the bus to cover your lie," Logan said. Haley stopped walking, so Logan and Peyton did as well. Logan was not happy. Haley ran her fingers back through her hair as she sighed.

"Yeah, and I feel awful about it. But what's the point of telling Nathan? Chris is out of my life, okay? Nathan would feel worse if he knew the truth," Haley said.

"Yeah, now he would because you've already lied to him about Chris before. If you had just been honest from the beginning, would he be upset still? Of course, but he would've gotten over it a lot faster. Which brings me to my own question. What is the truth, Haley?" Logan asked.

"That Chris and I... are connected through music. He understands that part of me in a way that Nathan doesn't," Haley said as the three of them resumed walking.

"Okay, Haley, if... if Chris were in town... would you be into him? Because I mean... you kissed him," Peyton said and Haley quickly shook her head.

"I know I kissed him and it was a mistake," Haley said.

"So this whole connection thing is strictly music?" Logan asked. Haley nodded.

"That's all it is. I love Nathan."

"Lucas is moving in with Dan?" Roman Castillo asked his girlfriend as they sat outside for lunch. Since he was at the river court with the twins when Dan arrived. Logan wanted to give him the update. Logan nodded as she sighed.

"It's the only way to protect Keith. I hated using it, but I pulled the eating disorder card. I can't move back into that house, Ro. I already relapsed once, if I go back...-" Roman cut her off.

"...-Hey, I get it. You did what you had to do to protect yourself, and you told your Dad you would stay there on the weekends, that's enough of a compromise," Roman said and Logan nodded. "You could also tell Keith the truth," He said.

"That shipped sailed once Keith got engaged. What would be the point in telling him now? And what if Jules is telling the truth and she really does love him? If Keith is happy, I don't want to ruin that," Logan said as she shook her head.

"Logan...-" She cut her boyfriend off.

"...-Which makes me the biggest hypocrite ever," Logan said as she shook her head. Roman's eyebrows scrunched up in confusion.

"How are you a hypocrite?" He asked.

"Haley kissed Chris and I have been lecturing her about how she's lying to Nathan when I'm lying to Keith about Jules," Logan said. Roman's eyes widened at the shock of hearing Haley kiss Chris Keller, and then he shook his head.

"Lo, it's not the same," He said.

"Yeah, it is. I'm yelling at Haley for lying when I'm lying myself. I'm a hypocrite," Logan said.

"Dan is manipulating you and Lucas for your silence. He was never going to tell Keith himself. Think about it, Lo. What would Dan gain from telling Keith he hired a woman to make him fall in love with her and then break his heart? Whereas, who manipulated Haley into kissing Chris?" Roman asked. Logan sighed. She knew he was giving her another perspective and trying to cheer her up, but she still felt like a hypocrite.

"But it's more than the Keith thing now, Ro," Logan said as she sighed.

"What else?" He asked. She frowned because she couldn't tell him. She hated keeping secrets from Roman, but Lucas having HCM wasn't her secret to tell.

"I can't tell you the other part, it's not my secret to tell, but do you trust me?" Logan asked. Roman studied her face for a long moment. Ever since they became a couple, they made a pact to not keep secrets from each other, which Logan was already keeping how bad her relapse truly was from him, but this one about Luke, she couldn't tell. Luke had to tell.

"Of course I trust you," Roman said. Logan nodded as she squeezed his hands.

"Then trust me when I say that I'll tell you the rest of it when I'm able to, but not right now," Logan said and Roman nodded his head before he leaned forward and kissed his girlfriend's forehead.

"Okay, Lo."

Logan saw Nathan walking down the hallway, and she waved at him, but he didn't look happy to see her. He had just had a run-in with Dan, where he bragged that Lucas and Logan were going to be moving in with him. Of course, he didn't tell Nathan the full truth, that Logan would only be there on the weekends. "Nathan, what's wrong?" Logan asked as she approached him.

"Is it true you're moving back in with Dad? And Lucas is moving in too?" Nathan asked and Logan sighed as her facial features dropped.

"Lucas is moving in, yes... I am not fully moving back in, I'm only going on weekends," Logan said. Nathan shook his head as he sighed.

"Great! What happened to getting emancipated to get away from him so he couldn't control us anymore, Logan?" Nathan asked and Logan's frown got deeper.

"It's...-Nate, it's more complicated than that, and I haven't wanted to bother you with it because you've been dealing with your crap with Haley. I didn't want to put more of a burden on you," Logan said. Nathan rolled his eyes as he shook his head. Logan hated the look her brother was giving her right now. He was looking at her like he didn't know who she was at all.

It broke her heart.

"Whatever, Lo," Nathan said as he brushed past her and continued down the hallway. Logan sighed as she ran her fingers through her hair, watching her brother walk away from her.

What was she supposed to do?
