2016 Tree Hill, North Carolina

Logan spent the night at Lucas' house.

Things were still pretty intense between Nathan and Haley at the apartment, especially with Taylor there, so Logan stopped there last night to get clothes and tell Nathan she would spend the night at Luke's to let them try to settle their tension.

The twins had debriefed what happened at Keith's and then they couldn't sleep, so they stayed up talking. They swapped childhood stories, they shared what they thought about each other growing up, and Lucas mentioned her letters and offered to give them back to her since he read them all, but she said he could keep them or toss them, she didn't need them anymore.

The twins finally did fall asleep and it seemed morning came quickly because Logan was woken up by Lucas' alarm on his phone and the alarm on his alarm clock. Logan groaned as she reached over and hit Lucas on the back of his head, which made him groan.

"Turn them both off, please," Logan said sleepily. Then there was a loud slam, which jolted Lucas and Logan awake. She rubbed her eyes and let them adjust. She saw Karen with a woven basket in her hands, that she had slammed down onto Lucas' dresser. She yanked the cord from Lucas' clock out of the wall and started to wrap it up.

"Mom, what's going on?" Lucas asked.

"You want to live in my house against my rules?" Karen asked. Logan looked inside the basket and noticed a lot of Lucas' things inside. She put the clock down on top and then went over to his CDs and started putting them in the basket. "You're sure as hell not going to be comfortable doing it," She said. Logan looked at her brother and raised an eyebrow.

"The heart test?" Lucas asked. He had already sat up and Logan was halfway sitting up. She just wanted to stay as small and quiet as possible. "Look, I'm sorry Mom, but this is my life," Lucas said. Karen rolled her eyes.

"You know, if I would've been that selfish at your age, you and Logan might not be sitting here right now," Karen snapped. Logan looked at Lucas and shook her head, indicating to not piss Karen off even more. She knew that her Dad had told Karen to get an abortion. Lucas told her that Dan admitted that to him.

"You can't make me take this test, Mom," Lucas said. Logan sighed. He did the exact opposite of what he should've done.

"Yeah, well... We'll see about that," Karen said as she ripped the comforter off the bed, and then walked to the door.

"Hey! Mom!" Lucas exclaimed. Karen didn't turn around. She walked out without saying another word. Logan and Lucas now sat on a blanket-less mattress, his room was bare. Lucas was only in his boxers, socks, and a t-shirt, which Logan thought was weird.

Who the hell sleeps in socks?

"Well... if I have to choose between Naley's tension or yours and Karen's? I'll choose theirs. I'll see you later, big brother."

Lucas and Logan went to Logan's old house. When they approached the driveway, they saw Dan shooting hoops on Nathan's hoop. Logan slightly smiled as she thought about the memories she and Nathan had made with that driveway hoop, but the smile fell from her face as she remembered why they were there. They were going to confront Dan about why he hired Jules. When Dan heard their footsteps, he turned around and looked amused.

"Are you coming to grovel to your old man to let you come back home?" Dan asked. Logan rolled her eyes.

"I'm not in the mood for your crap, Dad. What the hell are you doing to Keith?" She snapped. Dan held the basketball in his hands and raised an eyebrow as he looked at his daughter.

"You mean Keith Scott, the new VP at Dan Scott Motors? Company car, a six-figure salary, Keith?" Dan asked. Lucas and Logan rolled their eyes at his sarcasm.

"With Jules?" Lucas snapped. Dan's smile immediately dropped at the mention of her name. "She told us everything, so don't even try to deny it," He snapped. Dan looked at Logan who was shaking her head.

"I really wanted to believe that your heart attack changed you, but you're the same as you've always been, and you'll never change," Logan said as she shook her head. Logan turned around, ready to walk away and when Dan saw Lucas was going to follow behind her, he called out to them.

"Keith slept with your Mom! Deb, that is, not Karen," Dan said. The twins froze when they heard what he said. She didn't turn around, she felt like she couldn't move. There's no way her Mom would sleep with Keith, would she? But after all the secrets that have been kept from her, Logan realized, she never really knew her parents at all. "What kind of man sleeps with his brother's wife?" He asked. Lucas turned around to face him.

"You're lying!" Lucas snapped.

"Am I? Ask him. Logan, ask your mother too. The night I walked in on them was the night I had my heart attack and I wanted revenge, like any man would. But after a few weeks, I came to my senses; I couldn't do that to my own brother, no matter what he did to me. That's why I gave him the job... out of guilt. I told Jules to leave town quietly," Dan said. This time, Logan did turn around.

"And why should we believe anything you say anymore after everything that you've done?" Logan asked. Dan shrugged as he looked at her.

"Because it's the truth. I don't know what she's still doing here. Maybe she saw his paycheck."

Logan called Roman and the two met on the opposite side of the river from the river court and Roman bought them ice cream. Logan called him because the new information she learned stressed her out to the point where she was about to go binge, but she didn't give in. She called Roman instead.

This time.

Once they were settled with their ice cream, she recapped hers and Lucas' confrontation with their Dad. She didn't know what to believe. She didn't want to believe that her Mom and Keith would sleep together, but at the same time, she didn't really know them. They kept a huge secret from her for her entire life. What was another one to add on?

"Wow... So Keith slept with your Mom?" Roman asked.

"If Dan is to be believed. But also, if they could keep the secret of my birth and everything that happened, keeping the secret of sleeping together is probably light work," Logan said as she shook her head.

"And they are adults. They're going to do what they want. What about the information you know about Jules? Have you told Keith?" Roman asked.

"We tried to, but then Jules was at the apartment, so we couldn't. I don't know, Ro. Should we? If we don't... we're basically lying to our Uncle," Logan said.

"And if you do... it'll crush him," Roman said and she nodded.

"Yeah... I just can't believe either of them. She says she loves Keith, but what kind of person would agree to something like this in the first place?" Logan asked as she groaned.

"Well, maybe she was a bad person when she went into it, desperate to pay her medical bills... but now her feelings for Keith are real," Roman said. Logan sighed as she leaned against her.

"Or maybe it's part of the lie. Who knows anymore," Logan said as she took another deep breath. "Thank you for talking with me about these things... the stress of that news made me want to binge, so I knew I had to call you," Logan said.

"I'm glad you did, Lo. You can always call me, anytime, no matter what it is," Roman said as they finished their ice cream. The two stood up and started walking along the path, throwing away their crash when they passed a trashcan. Then Logan stopped walking, which made Roman stop too. "You okay?" He asked.

She nodded and wrapped her arms around his torso, laid her head on his chest, right underneath his chin, and hugged him close. Roman smiled as he wrapped his arms back around her, kissing the top of her head and rubbing her back. Being with Roman always made Logan feel better, and every time they were apart, she missed him. She hated being away from him. She wanted to be around him all the time. In a healthy way, she was completely obsessed with him.

Did that mean she was in love?

"You can always tell me anything too, okay?" She said as she lifted her head from his chest so she could look at him. Their arms were still around each other and Roman smiled. He leaned down and kissed her forehead. "You missed," She said which made him smile wider.

"Did I?" He asked. Logan nodded and he leaned back down to bring their lips together. Logan smiled as she kissed him back, gently cupping the back of his head as their lips moved in sync. When the two of them pulled away, he rested his forehead against hers and Logan whispered.

"Much better."

Logan went back to her old house.

Her father wasn't home, but her mother was, which was good. Deb was who she wanted to speak with and she didn't want her father around. She was hoping that her Mom would tell her that Dan was lying. Logan didn't want to believe that her mom and Keith would sleep together, not when they knew how insane Dan was.

"Hey, sweetie, it's nice to see you. What's up?" Deb asked when Logan found her in the kitchen.

"I need to talk to you," She said.

"Is everything alright?" Deb asked. Logan sighed as she thought about what to say. She didn't know if she wanted to be blunt or ease into it. She's normally the person that rips off the band-aid and she was tired of being caught by surprise.

"Did you sleep with Uncle Keith?" Logan asked. Deb's eyes widened in shock once she registered what her daughter had asked.

"Where did you hear that?" Deb asked and Logan sighed.

"So it's true?" She asked.

"It's um... it's complicated, Logan," Deb said and Logan groaned as she threw her head back.

"Mom! Are you serious!?" Logan exclaimed. Deb sighed. She hated that Dan told her. She knew Keith wouldn't do it, so Dan was the only one left.

"Logan, it's complicated," Deb repeated.

"No, not really, Mom. I mean there are lines that you just don't cross. But why should I be surprised? The circumstances of my life as an infant already crossed every major line you can cross," Logan said as she shook her head. Deb frowned as she looked at her.

"Logan, it was a mistake, I know. And I know it's no excuse, but I was lonely. Your Dad was being the same awful person that he is, and we were about to be divorced, and it just... sort of happened," Deb said. Logan sighed as she shook her head again. She didn't know what else to do but sigh, groan, and shake her head. She couldn't believe her Dad wasn't lying as manipulation. She couldn't believe her Uncle and her Mom actually slept together.

"Look, Mom, it's bad enough that you slept with someone's brother... but your husband's brother? He's never going to let that go, Mom! You know that, don't you?" Logan asked and Deb sighed.

"Logan, I know you're disappointed in me for a lot of things, and you have every right to be. But I promise you, I'm not going to make a mistake like that again. Keith is with Jules now. It won't happen again, honey," Deb said. Logan sighed, but she believed her.

"Mom...-" Deb cut her off.

"...-Look, I'm not proud of what I did with Keith... and I know the two of you are close, so that's why I didn't tell you... you understand that, right?" Deb said. Logan nodded as she headed toward the door.

"Sure, Mom... just like all the other secrets you've kept from me, right?" Logan said. She heard her Mom sigh, but she left the house without another word. When she got in her car, she locked the doors and immediately started crying.

She was done.

[tw; purging]

Logan was home alone. She wasn't sure where Nathan and Haley were, or Haley's sister Taylor, but she was grateful to have the apartment to herself as she sat on her knees in front of the toilet bowl in the bathroom. Toothbrush in hand. Ever since finding out what happened when she was a baby, Logan has felt like she couldn't breathe. Everything that happened felt overwhelming and it felt like one blow after another.

Now to find out that her Mom slept with Uncle Keith and that potentially triggered her Dad's heart attack, and it fully triggered Dan's revenge plan of hiring Jules to fall in love with Keith and break his heart. She knew half of those things weren't her issues or responsibilities, but she still couldn't help but feel their weight as she emptied another round of food from her system into the toilet.

She didn't know if people could tell she was getting worse, she could never tell because she knew when she looked at herself in the mirror, she wasn't looking at herself clearly. She knew what she saw wouldn't be what everyone else saw. She saw the girl who went to the eating disorder hospital before the current school year, she didn't know which version of Logan Scott everyone else saw.

Logan was in the middle of puking up her next round of food when she heard the front door close. She quickly lifted her head, flushed the toilet, brushed her teeth, and used mouthwash before walking out of the bathroom. She shoved her purging toothbrush into the pocket of her hoodie, just in case.

She came face-to-face with Taylor James in the hallway. "Hey, Logan. Are either of our siblings here?" Taylor asked.

"No, just me, but I was just heading out. I have to meet Lucas. Everything okay?" Logan asked.

"I'm not sure... I was using Haley's laptop earlier and she got a message from Chris Keller," Taylor said. Logan's eyes widened.

"What? She's still talking to him?" Logan asked and Taylor nodded.

"Chris said he wanted to kiss her again," Taylor said.

"What!?" Logan exclaimed. She couldn't believe Haley would kiss Chris Keller. She sighed as she shook her head. "No... we shouldn't blame Haley outright. Chris Keller is a sleaze, he could be lying," Logan said.

"But isn't he gone? Why would he lie?" Taylor asked. Logan sighed and she thought about how Haley lied the night of their sleepover, and then she shook her head.

"You should talk to Haley, she's your sister. I won't say anything to Nathan until we know for sure. Haley should tell him the truth, but if she refuses to, I will. I won't let her play games with my brother," Logan said. Taylor nodded, she understood that.

"I understand. I'll talk to her and let you know," Taylor said and Logan nodded.

"Thanks, Taylor."

Lucas and Logan went to Keith's apartment. They exchanged how their conversations went with Keith and Deb, getting the confirmation that the two of them did sleep together. The twins had no idea how to feel, knowing that out of all the things Dan had lied about, this wasn't one of them. Lucas knocked on the door and after a few moments, Keith answered. He was surprised to see Logan. Deb called him after their conversation, so he figured his niece wouldn't want to talk to him. "Hey, Lo. I didn't know to expect you. Luke told me you talked to your Mom," He said.

"I did, and I'm not as upset anymore. You guys are adults, it's not really my business," Logan said as she shrugged and Keith smiled.

"So, what are you two doing here?" Keith asked.

"We just wanted to see how you're doing," Lucas said and Logan nodded.

"Well, actually, I'm glad you two stopped by. Something happened tonight; with Jules," He said. Lucas and Logan turned to each other. Did she leave? Did she break his heart? Did he find out the truth? Before either of them could say anything, Jules approached the door and stood next to Keith, and that eliminated the option of her telling Keith the truth. If she had told him the truth.

She probably wouldn't be here.

"I asked her to marry me," Keith said. Logan's eyes widened as Keith and Jules smiled while Jules held up her hand to show the twins her ring. Logan and Lucas exchanged a look, a knowing look. They should've told Keith the truth sooner. "Hey guys, don't look so worried. She said yes," Keith said as he laughed. Lucas and Logan threw in their own fake laughs and smiles.

"That's great," Logan said once she found her voice. Keith pulled his niece into a hug, and then he hugged Lucas, but the twins were still shocked. Logan looked at Jules over Keith's shoulder, and when Jules met her eyes, she dropped her head down and Logan shook her head.

She didn't trust her at all.

⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎

Keith took the twins out for a walk because he figured they would probably process their feelings better without Jules there. Keith could read the shock all over their faces, but he was hoping that they weren't upset. Logan almost texted Luke while they were with Keith should they tell Keith the truth, because surely they couldn't let him marry this woman.

"So, what do you guys think about your Uncle being engaged?" Keith asked.

"Honestly? I think it's a little fast. You haven't really known Jules for that long," Logan said and Lucas nodded in agreement.

"I agree," Lucas said.

"Ah, well, you know this HCM thing... it reminded me that, you know, every day might be the last and that... I wanna live them all with Jules," Keith said. Logan frowned. She understood where he was coming from, but Jules wasn't the woman for that.

"We get that... but I mean, what do you really know about her?" Lucas asked.

"You know... I know you wanted me to marry your mother, but um... life doesn't always work out according to plan and I had to move on, you know. I don't want to miss a second chance. And trust me, once you both get to know Jules, you're going to love her as much as I do," Keith said and Logan shook her head but remained silent.

"Doubt it," She thought to herself.

"You know, I'm glad you're taking the test, Luke," Keith said. Logan looked at her brother in shock.

"You are?" She asked.

"Oh, I didn't realize you didn't tell her," Keith said. Lucas looked at his sister and smiled.

"Yeah... for my mom, and for you," Lucas said. That's when Logan realized the direction they were walking in was the hospital.

"Look, before we go in, there's something I wanted to ask you... I know this whole thing is still... sinking in, but it would mean a lot to me if you'd be my best man," Keith said. Logan looked at Lucas to see he had a strained smile on his face because this was supposed to be a happy moment.

But Keith was marrying the wrong woman.

Despite this, Lucas smiled. "Of course."

⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎⇎

After getting the test done for Lucas, the twins went to the river court and Logan called her boyfriend to meet them. He and Lucas played a light one-on-one game once the twins told him that Lucas did get the test done. Logan was happy to see them bonding. She knows Roman doesn't consider Lucas his best friend, yet, and that's fine, but she could tell they were getting closer. She also noticed on the basketball court that the two of them and Nathan had been a force to be reckoned with.

She couldn't wait until senior season.

"Luke, Ro," Logan said when he saw Dan Scott approaching the river court. Logan got off the picnic table and walked over to her brother and boyfriend. She wasn't sure what Dan was going to do, and he didn't look happy.

"What do you want?" Lucas asked. Dan looked at Roman.

"You should go... I need to talk to my children, alone," Dan said. Logan rolled her eyes.

"Whatever you want to say to us, you can say in front of Roman because I'll just tell him anyway," Logan said as she scoffed. Roman shook his head. He appreciated Logan defending him, but he didn't want to be in the middle of their business.

"No, it's okay, Lo. Just call me when you get home, okay?" He said. Logan nodded and the couple squeezed each other's hands before Roman left. Then Logan turned to her father.

"What?" She snapped at him.

"The three of us are the only ones who know the truth about Jules... and I'm willing to keep it a secret. Keith never has to know," He said. Lucas and Logan looked at each other. They knew Dan was going to want something in return.

"What do you want from us?" Lucas asked. Logan didn't like the smirk that came onto her father's face. It was a smirk she had never seen before, and she knew he was up to no good. The next words from his mouth confirmed it.

"I'm sure we can work something out."
