Want to be roommates?

The meeting went pretty smoothly and after a few hours they were done for the day and headed to the hotel to check in.

As the bus made its way further downtown, Yunho handed out a clipboard for roommate sign-up. They'd secured double rooms and employees could choose who they roomed with.

As the clipboard made its way to Seonghwa, he looked around, unsure who he should pick. He turned to San and Wooyoung and figured they'd probably pick each other. He dared a peek at Jongho near the front who surprisingly wasn't keeping an intense eye on him. Taking advantage of the freedom, he turned to Hongjoong.

"Want to be roommates?"

"Yes!"

Seonghwa smiled and wrote down their names. He didn't see Hongjoong blushing at how quickly he had responded.

Finally they got to the hotel and checked in, heading up to their rooms. Seonghwa and Hongjoong arrived at their room and traded awkward attempts to open the door before Seonghwa scanned his key.

As they entered, they were surprised at the size of the room. Well—neither was actually that surprised as both had spent time in pretty expensive hotels—but both of them pretended to be surprised.

Seonghwa set his suitcase by the bed closer to the window and Hongjoong sat his by the other. Then they each took a seat.

It was a bit awkward at first as neither really knew what to say. It had been a long day and both of them were a bit tired.

But Seonghwa remembered that Hongjoong would be leaving after this trip. So he stood up valiantly and started to dress for the evening.

"Woah woah WOAH! What are you doing?!"

Seonghwa—shirtless as he was changing from his dress clothes to a comfier sweater—turned to Hongjoong in surprise.

"Getting ready for tonight."

"I meant—ha—yes, of course. Um—you're not planning on changing pants, are you?"

Seonghwa laughed and shook his head.

"If I were changing pants I wouldn't just do it in front of you."

"Okay good. That would be weird."

Seonghwa finished getting dressed and turned to Hongjoong who clearly hadn't picked up on the memo yet as he sat, swinging his legs on the bed.

"Well?"

"Well what?"

"Aren't you going to get dressed? The sooner we get going the better."

"Oh—I'm okay. I think I'll just stay here—"

"No you will not! Come on! We've only got a few more days together so let's have some fun!"

Seonghwa pulled on Hongjoong's arm but he laid back on the bed like a dummy, refusing to move.

"Noooooo, you know I don't really like the city," he whined.

"Well too bad. I happen to love this city aaaaand I'm going to make you love it too. Please?"

Seonghwa gave his best puppy dog eyes until Hongjoong was unable to resist and opened his suitcase.

He started to redress but noticed Seonghwa staring at him and felt uncomfortable.

"Could you—turn the other way?"

"What? It's just your back."

"Well I don't want you to see my bare back."

"Okay, fine."

Seonghwa turned in annoyance and Hongjoong quickly threw a light button-up t-shirt on.

Seonghwa dared a peek back and his face flashed red. Hongjoong had turned to face him—in an attempt to make sure he wasn't being watched—and Seonghwa couldn't help but stare at his surprisingly toned chest. Hongjoong immediately pulled his shirt closed.

"Seonghwa!!"

"I'm—s-sorry! I thought you were done—"

"Just turn around!! I'll tell you when I'm done!"

Seonghwa turned as fast as possible, trying to hide his flushed cheeks. He had always thought Hongjoong was cute but he was seeing him in a different light.

He was pretty hot too.

He shook his head, trying to clear out the thought.

This was his best friend. That was all.

He didn't have time for anything else. And Hongjoong would feel awkward if he knew what he was thinking.

"Okay. I'm done."

Seonghwa didn't turn right away, feeling uncertain after the last turn.

"For real this time."

Seonghwa finally turned and was glad Hongjoong was fully-clothed. He couldn't help but notice his arms were a bit toned as well and the low v of his button up drew his attention. He forced himself not to look, maintaining eye contact with Hongjoong.

"Well?"

"What?"

"You said you were taking me somewhere. Where are we going?"

"Right. We're starting at my favorite bookstore."

"A bookstore?"

"Yes. I like reading. You don't?"

"I mean...it's okay."

"I'm deeply offended. But I think I can change your mind. Shall we go?"

"I don't think I have a choice."

Seonghwa smiled and hooked arms with Hongjoong, guiding him out of the room.
