Sophie couldn't breathe-couldn't think. All she could do was fix her angry eyes on the nightmarish figure in front of her. 

"Miss me Sophie?" 

That terrible, arrogant voice that had haunted her nightmares filled the ominous space between them, infusing Sophie with a mixture of anger and fear. This was the person who had killed Kenric and set Everblaze on Eternalia. This was the person who had the plan to kill dozens of innocent people in Lumenaria... and had almost succeeded.

Fintan. 

Sophie's wrists itched, she wanted to run, call Sandor, and do anything she could to keep that terrible person from touching her family. 

But she had one question.

"B-but how did you escape?" 

"I have my ways." Fintan smiled and brought something silver out of the folds of his black Neverseen cloak. 

A melder. 

He pointed it at Sophie's head.

Sophie felt her anger and frustration building up within her. She rubbed the growing knot near her ribcage, loosening the emotions until they were ready to be sent out. Standing tall, head held high, Sophie locked her eyes with Fintan's and prepared herself to inflict.

"Oh, I wouldn't do that if I were you," Fintan exclaimed, his voice full of nonchalant laziness. 

His tone of voice made Sophie's anger stew even more. 

Sandor burst into the room, goblin throwing stars ready. "Sophie, I heard voices in here... are you alrig-." He stopped, eyes fixed on the black-cloaked figure that stood by the window. 

"You..."Sandor squeak-snarled as he stalked closer to his prey. "You ESCAPED?!"

Sandor stopped walking, towered over Fintan, and growled, low and deep.

Fintan didn't even look fazed. He stood there, a smirk dancing on his lips. It was so much like Keefe's that it made Sophie's heart hurt.

"I don't think you should do that," he exclaimed, cunning written all over his handsome, horrible face. 

"And why should we not do anything?" Sophie asked him. 

"Because I know something about the alicorn that you don't know."
