Part 1



Oh no.

I can’t believe what I see.

What am I going to do?

Calm down, breathe, Molly. You can do this.

I give the test another look and start to panic again.

Positive, I am pregnant and I must tell Matt. This is not going to be easy.

I fell in love with Matt five months ago. Our relationship is not that serious. We date, hook up and get back to our lives mostly. I live with my aunt so we always meet in his apartment in the middle of the town.

He doesn’t know about my other life. Why would he? It was my decision to be able to walk anonymously on the streets as myself, so Darlene and Molly look completely different. My blonde hair is extremely curly and messy and my original eye colour is grey mixed with green. My clothes are cheap and nothing special. Matt is drop dead gorgeous and I can’t believe he find me interesting enough to be with. I have no confidence. Darlene does, but everyone loves her and she is just an illusion created to gain fans.

Stopping in front of Matt’s door I take a deep breath and knock on it. I hear footsteps and the lock turning and there he is taking my breath away as he opens the door only wearing a towel around his hips.

“Hi.” He smiles and lets me in. He closes the door when I am in the hallway and I'm trying to build up enough courage to tell him. “I didn’t expect you.” he continues and nails me to the wall to press his soft lips onto mine.

The excitement that takes over my body is uncontrollable. I kiss him back and let his tongue slip into my mouth. His hands slowly touches me and find their way slowly unzipping my pants and pushing them down. I moan and press myself to his body.

It is crazy how he manage to turn me on within a few seconds. His touch sends electric shocks through my body. I want him so badly and I moan with pleasure when he takes me against the wall. I love to satisfy him. I love when he satisfies me like he has no control to resist.

A few minutes later we both are grinning like idiots trying to catch our breaths. My clothes are spread on the floor and Matt walks away to get his from a closet. A mirror shows me my red cheeks and glossy eyes.

I dress myself quickly and I notice that Matt already got dressed and is looking through a drawer next to the door. His brown hair is messy after my hands and I feel my heart tighten. I love him so much. Why can’t I tell him that? He closes the drawer and walks up to me holding a key in his left hand.

“Keep it.” he says. “Take care Molly, I must go to a meeting at work now or I‘ll be late.”

“Oh, bye.” I say disappointedly and grabs the key. He gives me a quick kiss and leaves.

I look down at the key in my hand. I have never been alone here before. Maybe we are getting serious? He never gave me his key before and having it feels good. I frown when I remember the reason why I came here. Damn, I forgot to tell him I’m having his baby.

I had no idea when Matt was going to be home so I spent the day cleaning his apartment. I changed his curtains and did some laundry. He keeps his home clean and nice but it still misses out from a female touch.

He owns a regular apartment with three rooms a kitchen and a living room. I smile at the thought of living here, it makes me ridiculously happy. I am a twenty-three year old still living with my aunt when I can afford buying a castle or a palace if I wanted to and I would prefer to move in here with Matt out of all options.

I spend most of my time on first class hotels anyway. It is hard to live a double life, I keep them strictly separated. When I am Darlene I forget about Molly and just sink in the role as the famous singer. When I am Molly I can barely recognize myself in Darlene’s position. Molly is shy while Darlene is outgoing.

None of them planned to get pregnant and it will change both their lives and especially Darlene’s. I need time to settle down with the thought that I am going to be a mum soon. I put a hand on my stomach and can’t help to feel excited about having Matt’s baby. I am scared to death to tell him. Either way I am keeping my baby.

My phone starts ringing and I dig through my purse to find it. I check the caller before I answer, Rick A, my agent.

“Hello!”

“Darlene where are you? You were supposed to be here two hours ago!” he yells quite upset.

I forgot about going to the studio. I always follow my schedule so he must be in ultimate shock right now. I am the dream person to work with, I don’t complain and I am easy to get along with.

“I’m sorry Rick, I have some family issues and I can’t come today and maybe tomorrow. I must fix this first.”

“We have to plan the press conference too, I hope you can solve the issue fast. We are being called down as it is.” He sounds a bit stressed.

“This is quite serious and we need to re-plan some things because of this… issue. Don’t book the press conference until I am ready,” I say with a calm voice. “I will tell you everything when I get back, okay?”

“If you must. Take some days off, but I want to see you down here on Friday!”

“Thank you Rick, you are the best!”

“Next time use your phone and call me if you can’t come.”

“I promise.”

We end the call and I do not look forward to explain this to my record company. Especially not now since we make more money than ever and I barely have a moment over to think because of work. It is amazing that I even had time over to see Matt and managed to get pregnant. Famous people get children too, it is not the end of their carriers.

Molly calm down, it is going to be fine.

It is six o’clock when I finally hear Matt put his key in the door. I get off the couch nervously and meets him in the hallway. Oh dear, the butterflies in my stomach returns as soon as I lay my eyes on him.

“Welcome home.” I tell him shyly.

“Oh you are still here.” he says and smiles tiredly.

“Yes, I thought I could stay since you gave me the key. I hope you don’t mind?”

“No of course not. You can move in if you want to, I like having you around.” He kisses me quickly on my lips and then takes of his jacket. I feel dizzy of happiness and hug him.

“Was it a good meeting?” I manage to ask.

“It was okay. But I got free food. Are you hungry?”

“No, I ate earlier.”

“You always eat so little. I am sure that amazing body of yours will survive even if you give in for the temptations.”

“You think I have an amazing body?”

“You know I do.”

“I just like to hear you say it.” I know my body is amazing. All the hours I spend swimming and at the gym every week made my body slim and athletic.

I think I blame Darlene for my low self esteem. I don’t believe that anyone can like me for being Molly when everyone worships Darlene. Now it won’t matter though, I will become fat. I must tell him but I feel so scared.

“Matt, there is something I must tell you.” I start seriously. “I took a test this morning and I am having your baby. That is why I came by so early today, but you didn’t have time to stay.”

I watch his reaction closely. He is in chock, he must be, I've never seen him so pale before.

“Did you go to the doctor?” he asks.

“I have an appointment tomorrow. I thought we could go together? Matt are you angry with me?”

He looks into my eyes. They are still chocked.

“Angry, no. I’ll go with you tomorrow, don’t worry Molly. Just give me some time to… think.”

He grabs his jacket again and leaves. I fall to my knees when I hear the door click. I don’t know why I am crying but I am glad I told him. I don’t know how I expected him to react. I panicked too when I found out. He is twenty-eight though, surely old enough to be a father.

I can’t believe that gorgeous man is the father of my baby and when I told him he just walked out the door.

Matt sneaks into the bed at midnight. He doesn't smell like alcohol, that is a good sign. He puts his arms around me and I love to feel his warm skin.

“Molly, I am sorry I ran away but I am here now okay?”

I put my hand on his stomach and he moans.

“I understand Matt. Just kiss me and everything will be fine.”

He kissed me alright and made me feel a lot better before we both fell asleep later on.
