"Chaeng!" I yelled as soon as I entered our own personal and customized studio. The room was all white, it had polished wood as it's floor and of course had a gigantic mirror placed on one side of the room, but that was only half of the room, the other half can be likened to a mini black recording studio, there were instruments and music sheets littered everywhere. I placed my backpack on the nearest chair and plopped down on the floor while fishing out my phone from my right pocket.

It was already Saturday and we were both still shocked by yesterday's events, it honestly felt like a dream but I was reminded that it was all true when I saw Chaeyoung mirroring the same expression as mine.

"By the way, why did you call me here?" She asked and sat I front of me on the floor as well, finding a comfortable position.

"It's been ages since we last posted something, let's record a cover again." I simply said while she nodded, finally getting why I called her.

"A dance or a song cover?" Chaeyoung asked with her eyes on her phone, probably searching for a good song to use.

A lot of people didn't know, but me and Chaeyoung actually had some sort of a secret second identity on YouTube, considering that we were childhood friends, we grew up together and so we also did a lot of different things together.

One of those things is expressing our love for both singing and dancing, ever since we were young, instead of playing on the park like what other kids our age would do, we would rather spend hours practicing dancing and singing in our own personal studio our parents bought us back then.

Until one day, it crossed our minds to actually make dance and song covers on YouTube instead of just locking ourselves up in the practice room, we thought why not share our talent to the world? We brainstormed for a fitting name, a name that would define us, until we finally settled with VAN & RO, which were practically our nicknames combined. At first we only did it for fun, but unexpectedly, we eventually garnered a lot of attention and gained millions of subscribers.

But we wouldn't be Taehyung and Chaeyoung if we didn't hide our identity, it's what we've always been doing all these years after we decided that it would be best if we would only be Van & Ro on the internet and then just be Taehyung and Chaeyoung in school.

In order to accomplish that, we always make sure to wear a cap and a face mask every time we do a dance cover and try not to reveal our faces as much when we do song covers, it was a good thing we knew how to play the guitar and the piano so sometimes we just let the camera focus there. Another thing we did to really secure our identities is that we made sure that people would not recognize us at school so when we first stepped into Kyeongsoo High, we made sure to immediately label ourselves as those typical nerds who wears think rimmed glasses just minding their own businesses, an image very opposite to what social media stars would display.

I sighed and raked a hand through my hair, also thinking for a good song to cover, but nothing came to my mind so I'll just leave it to Chaeyoung. So instead, my eyes roamed the big room.

This studio is like our safe haven, a place we can call our second home, a place where we can express our sincere feelings, a place where we don't need to wear a mask and just be ourselves.

When I looked at the gigantic mirror in front of me, it was only then when I realized the goofy smile that my face was sporting, it's already normal though, the two of us would always feel happy when we occupy this room.

I was snapped back to reality when I heard a faint gasp coming from Chae.

"Oh my. . ." Chaeyoung suddenly looked up, making me look at her.

"Why? What is it?" I asked as I scoot closer to her to take a peak at what made her eyes sparkle like that, I predicted it would be because of one person, and when I finally took a good look at the her phone, I wasn't wrong.

"Jieun-sunbae posted a new song! It's also an original!" Chaeyoung exclaimed with wide eyes while squirming in her position, but as her eyes skimmed through the description her eyes got wider, "What's this? She's featuring someone?"

Now that caught my attention, who would the great Lee Jieun collaborate with?

"Really? Who?" I asked out of pure curiosity, I'm honestly not as big as a fan like Chae, but I know how to appreciate art.

"It says here, produced by and featuring— Min Yoongi?!" Her eyes got more bigger now, if that was even possible?

"Wow, really? But it's not really a surprise though, out of all the royals, she's acquainted with Yoongi," I shrugged.

After a few seconds, I swear I saw a light bulb appear on top of her head.

"Let's do this please? We haven't listened to it yet, but come on we know it's gonna be a bop, please?" She pleaded and used her puppy eyes on me. Honestly, who would reject a girl as pure her?

"There's no harm in doing it, so why not?" I grinned, and soon her face mirrored my expression.

"Yes!" Chaeyoung shouted with too much excitement in her voice, stood up and did a little dance before sitting back down for us to actually start listening to the song.

I left my current spot and transferred to her side, once we were settled, she pressed play and we started to listen to it.

Afterwards we immediately went to work and did our magic.

"Geez, they are fast," Lalisa muttered once she saw the notification, but soon squealed and immediately pressed on the video.

When it was done loading, the video displayed a guy and a girl, their faces wasn't shown on the video but you can clearly see the dark-haired girl in front of a piano while the guy was holding a guitar securely in his arms.

It was a cover of a song her unnie released just this morning, so she was impressed by how fast VAN & RO was in making the video. Her unnie actually already let her listen to it beforehand so she already knew how the song goes, and she was once again impressed, but was more mind blown when Min Yoongi's turn came.

When the intro was finally over, Ro, or as what their fans call her as it was the only name given to the them, started the song with her sweet, honey like voice.

Lalisa sighed dreamily, such talented artists covering other talented artists, it was such a treat for the ears, but somehow, she couldn't concentrate that well as the song progresses as she can oddly sense a hint of familiarity in their voices, she's been following these two since their 'Starlight' cover, so it was weird to only sense this weird feeling now.

There it goes again, that weird sense of familiarity. Lalisa couldn't help but think of what changed, why did she suddenly feel like she recognizes their voices?

But it also could've been just her, maybe she was just thinking too much about it, she wasn't sure.

For the rest of the cover, she ignored that feeling and just focused on appreciating their vocals, because she knew they both deserved it.

"Woah," Lalisa couldn't help but applaud them silently, her unnie already told her about the meaning of the song, she already heard her sing it live and the first time she did, she actually almost cried, so it warms her heart that other people are appreciating her unnie's work and are actually making an effort to try express and translate the beautiful yet heartbreaking message of the song to others in their own unique way.

"Dear cousin!"

The once calm atmosphere inside her room was suddenly interrupted by Bambam's abrupt entrance.

"What the hell is your problem?!" Lalisa exclaimed with her right hand above her chest, she closed her eyes and tried to calm the rapid beating of her heart caused by Bambam's loud voice.

"This is very ironic," Bambam clicked his tongue and showed Lalisa his phone, "You're viral now, baby sis."

That mere sentence was enough to make her eyes shot open.

"WHAT!?"

She immediately snatched Bambam's phone and glanced at the amount of views the video was getting, she silently muttered a string of curses when she saw how big the number is. She took one deep breath before finally playing the short clip.

It was a video taken by their schoolmate, it was taking place in an all too familiar field, and if she were in a different situation she would have laughed at the way Jongin got hit square in the face and fell.

But she couldn't.

After all, she was the same girl punching the living daylights out of Kim Jongin in the video.

This is just a short filler chapter hehe.

But actually, if this chapter is still not obvious to you then let me just say that 'Eight' was such a BOP, IU's vocals were HEAVENLY as always, and Yoongi's rap was on FIRE. The song seemed happy but it actually contained deep and painful lyrics. IU is such a good friend, writing such a beautiful song in tribute for her friends (I'm sure you guys already have an idea about what the whole song is about).
