"What? No!" Lalisa rubbed her temples out of frustration. "Taehyung just woke up, we can't have you fainting too."
Chaeyoung performed a few breathing exercises in an attempt to calm her nerves but to no avail, especially because now Jieun was already on the couch sitting next to her bestfriend.
"What?" Jieun looked at Lalisa with wide eyes which were feigning innocence meanwhile the younger girl just continued to narrow her eyes at the latter. "I just paid you guys a visit– why do you keep looking at me like that?"
"I know you unnie, and?" Lalisa prolonged the last word on purpose and continued to push Jieun to say it.
"Okay, fine, I was also hoping for free food." Lalisa had to sigh heavily at her unnies's confession, she knew she could be a kid sometimes and if it were any other day, she would've welcomed her with open arms and not have any problem with it, but she really had to drop by today.
"You too, Taehyung," Lalisa now looked at her still wide eyed male friend. "Don't faint again."
"Give us a few seconds to process, please." Chaeyoung muttered before taking a big gulp from her juice, eventually emptying the glass, while Taehyung on the other hand kept slapping his cheeks lightly as if it would wake him up from this dream-like scenario.
After a few more minutes of light slaps, wide eyes, and deep breaths, it seemed to appear that the two bestfriends were slowly gaining their composure which made Lalisa release a small sigh of relief.
"So. . .as I was saying, Bambam here is my cousin, and you already know that I'm friends with Jieun-unnie." Lalisa said.
"I mean yeah, you said you were close, but we didn't expect that you would be this close to the point where you visit each other's houses out of boredom." Taehyung uttered.
"Well yeah, the three of us go way back," Lalisa smiled a little, "Like way back."
But then the secret heiress' face morphed into a much more serious expression. "But can I ask you guys to keep this a secret? This will only stay between us and between us only but I won't tell you why yet, I can trust you with that right?"
"Of course, Li," Chaeyoung smiled softly, "Like you said, you have your reasons so we'll respect that in the meantime as we understand your cautiousness because we're not that close yet."
"Your secret is safe with us." Taehyung added with a unique boxy smile of his own.
Jieun and Bambam secretly gave each other a knowing smile, they were already pleased with Lalisa's preference in friends, the last thing they want to happen is Lalisa being hurt again, so it eases their minds that Lalisa was able to find good friends like them.
"You guys must be exhausted, you can just eat dinner here, like I said my house lacked food so I came here to cook too." Jieun offered kindly with a friendly smile on her face. She took notice of both of their shock as well as Taehyung's wounds so she thought it was a good idea to just invite them for dinner, the girl needed to restock soon and go buy grocery so in the meantime she decided to visit Bambam and Lalisa's house as she has spare keys anyways.
The four of them were too preoccupied with their current dilemma that they didn't smell the tasty aroma wafting through the air earlier.
"I–I'm not sure if w–we're worthy." Chaeyoung whispered, her cheeks tainted a light shade of pink.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" Jieun asked with furrowed brows because Chaeyoung's previous statement was barely audible.
"She said sure, let's go." Lalisa immediately jumps in to save her flustered friend, she didn't know Jieun's effects on her friend was actually this severe, she was that big of a fan. She stood up and pulled both Chaeyoung and Taehyung's hand towards the humongous dining room.
Her friends couldn't help but admire the mansion's impressive interior as they walked, but it was mostly the food they were admiring when they arrived at the dining hall to be honest, it was only at that moment they realized that they were hungry.
Soon, both Jieun and Bambam joined them at the long table so they started eating. Li, Bam, and Eun were all eating comfortably but they couldn't help but notice the rather stiff movement and thick tension radiating from the two people across them.
"Come on, there's no need to be uncomfortable around them." Lali directed a teasing tone towards her friends.
"Oh, they're uncomfortable because of us?" Jieun raised a brow. "Why?" Bambam's voice followed.
Seeing the shy smiles from her friends, Lalisa swallowed her food and answered for them. "They're not used to interacting with. . .famous people as yourselves."
Jieun snorted. "Seriously? Do I look unapproachable? Besides, I'm not that famous." She shrugged. "Not like Bammie here." She mocked.
"Oh, come on, stop playing the humble card," Bambam grunted. "But seriously though, it's not like we eat people." He chuckled.
"Yeah, treat us the same way you treat Lalisa." Jieun gave them a grin.
"If y–you say so." Chaeyoung replied in a small voice. "I'm actually a big fan unnie."
Jieun perked up at that. "Really? You like my songs?"
"Yeah," Chaeyoung straightened her posture, now getting a little more giddy upon talking to her idol. Jieun actually has a YouTube channel; IU, where she posts covers, but there are rare times where she posts her own songs composed and sung by her herself, it's really a big mystery to others as to why an entertainment company hasn't approached her just yet, this is one of the reasons why she became extremely popular within the academy, though she hates to admit it. "One of my personal favorites is Through The Night, to me the melody the rhythm, the lyrics, it's like they were especially made to soothe you and calm you down in your darkest days—"
Chaeyoung paused and placed a hand over mouth to stop herself from babbling, "I'm sorry, am I talking too much?"
Jieun produced a sound which was a mixture of a coo and a chuckle. "Goodness, you are so cute."
Now Chaeyoung has officially turned into a tomato.
"But I gotta say man, your last game was pretty impressive, it was obvious that you put a lot of thought onto your strategies." Taehyung said to Bambam.
"It's good to meet someone who actually know how the sport works again." Bambam replied with a grin.
Lalisa plastered a big smile on her face, she turned to look at Chaeyoung and Jieun who were discussing something about music, and then on Taehyung and Bambam talking about football and which team was better or somewhere along those lines, they were finally warming up to each other and it unconsciously brought a satisfying warmth to her chest.

"Well, yesterday was pretty hectic." Bambam commented as he plopped down on the couch, but all he received was silence as the girl in front of him was too immersed in her phone. It was already Saturday and they were just chilling at home with nothing to do. After they dropped Chaeyoung, Taehyung, and Jieun last night, they both retreated to their own rooms and called it a night.
"You will all undergo heavy training, in preparation for something very big coming ahead," Lalisa gasped dramatically with knitted brows and continued to scroll down on one of her favorite go to ebooks, "Damn, shit's about to go down I can tell, like really deep shit. . .and why do I always have that funny feeling that one of the characters will die?"
The girl shook her head, meanwhile Bambam who sat in front of her just stared at his cousin as if she's grown two heads. "What the fuck is that?"
"I'm reading a story, Bam." Lalisa deadpanned. "But anyways, the chapter's finished anyways and I'm gonna wait for ages again for a new one." She closed her phone and placed it beside her on the couch.
"The author better update soon though, she loves to put cliffhangers in her chapters like. . .damn." Lalisa sighed, obviously impatient as she was hooked with the new book she found in one of her favourite apps.
"But anyways, about our company," Lalisa snapped her fingers. With that mere sentence Bambam immediately paid attention for he knew she was going to ask about it. "How's it doing there? Is it in good hands?"
Bambam leaned forward and rested his elbows on his legs with his right hand supporting his chin and the left just dangling in between. "Sorn's family is keeping a close eye on it, like I said, there are only a few who knows about us being alive."
"That's great to hear then, even though you know that I've been avoiding the possible scenario of me having a position in our company like plague because I'd rather pursue dancing or photography, I still care for our company." Lalisa shrugged.
Silence almost engulfed them when Lalisa's phone ringed, indicating a new notification. She quickly registered her fingerprint before she clicked on the notification where it opened the app she used just a few seconds ago. "Wait, it updated! I'm gonna read this first."
Bambam released a faint laugh of amusement at her cousin who was now once again in a comfortable position on the couch scrolling silently on her phone with furrowed brows.
"Ah, she's such a kid."

"What deems to be the reason of your call, sire?"
A young man clad in an all black ensemble with black pants, a black velvety button up polo topped with a black blazer crossed his legs and relaxed back into the swivel chair with a stoic and heartless expression on his face.
He clutched his phone and rotated his chair to look ahead at the full view of the city lights offered by the ceiling-to-floor length window located at the very back of his gigantic office.
"I need you to investigate on someone for me."
"May I ask why?"
A smirk slowly made it's way to his handsome face. "It may be hard to believe, but I have the crazy assumption of my dear fiancé being risen from the dead."
"Are you sure you are not mistaken, sir?"
"Just do it." He hissed at the person on the other side of the phone.
After hearing a faint chuckle from the other line, the person on the receiving end of the call immediately replied with a much more serious tone.
"Will do, young master Jeon."
