"내가 알 필요가."

Kyeongsoo High is the top elite school in the whole of South Korea, top three in Asia. A school where the popular ones are privileged while those who got in through scholarships, not so much.

The academy name was derived from the words "Kyeong" which means honour and "Soo" which means excellence and perfection, thus representing the characteristics of the school earned from claiming victory and honour from various contests inside and outside the school.

It has those typical stereotype groups you see in movies; the jocks, the cheerleaders, the model students, the invisible ones, the nerds, the artists and way more.

And if you think that the jocks and cheerleaders are on the top of the school's food chan, well you might as well think again.

The Royals.

The group that always stays on top. Money, fame, visuals they have it all. They want it? They get it.

What the students there always keep in mind is: Never make yourself a target for The Royals if you don't want to experience hell too early.

But unlike those students who doesen't give a damn about their studies and waste their precious time on gossips and happenings inside the school, a girl named Pranpriya Manoban- the only heiress left of the Manobans after her cousin Kunpimook Bhuwakul ran away- doesn't get herself involved in those things that much.

It has been two years and their family name is slowly laying low. Up until this day, her cousin is still not found, and unfortunately other families grabbed this opportunity to overpass the most powerful family in Thailand. As Pranpriya was the only available heir left, a lot of death threats were directed to the girl, causing her to experience the car accident that caused her to be stuck in the place where she is now.

From Thailand, she flew to Korea to get treated there and keep her identity safe. When the time is right, she will claim her righteous title.

"Priya, you're awake." She heard a familiar and relieved voice say after she managed to lift her heavy eyelids up.

Ten months, a lot has happened in ten months.

Even though she was unconscious she can still keep herself updated with what has been happening. She could hear voices, and she can recognize that this man's voice was the voice that she has been constantly hearing for the past months.

Since the first time she heard the voice nine months ago, she couldn't help but sense some familiarity, she has a certain name in mind but she couldn't confirm it as her eyes won't obey her.

Now that her eyes finally opened, she looked around and all she could see was white. Was she in heaven? What her family said was true? Her cousin is dead and maybe now she is too that's why she can recognize the voice.

Her assumptions were all destroyed when her vision became clearer, she could make out white walls, a TV, comfortable looking couches on the side, a hospital bed which she was currently occupying and her long lost cousin.

Wait.

She then bolted up from the hospital bed and immediately looked at the guy sitting beside her with her eyes as wide as saucers.

"Bam?!"

Her cousin chuckled.

"Yes, it's me Priya," He scratched his nape lightly. "I know you have a lot of questions but-"

"Oh my God, we all thought you were-"

"Dead," He cut her off. "Yeah, that was intentional, and talk slowly, you haven't spoken in ten months your voice might be hoarse, don't rush it."

It was when her cousin said that she realized that her voice was indeed hoarse and she was hungry for she hasn't eaten anything edible for the past ten months in her comatose state.

"But let's not talk about that now, you just woke up," Her cousin Kunpimook or most famously called as Bambam said carefully. "I know you're a strong girl but you can't process all the information I'm supposed to tell you as a lot has been happening for the past few months."

"Like how our family name is slowly disappearing from the whole of Thailand as we already sold off all of our properties?" She deadpanned.

Her cousin's face was sketched with confusion for a moment. "You know?"

"I can still hear you Bam, even though I'm unconscious. Now, what happened?" She asked.

"Pranpriya, you should regain your strength first." Bambam said.

"I've been resting for about ten months now if I'm correct, I need to know." Pranpriya insisted.

The boy hesitated at first, but she would know eventually. "Well unfortunately, yes but what they don't know is that I was the one who bought all the properties so you don't have a thing to worry about." Bambam grinned.

Pranpriya's eyes lit up.

She woke up only to find her cousin already doing her a big favour. Almost three years ago, she was confused and sad with her cousin's sudden disappearance, she hated him for a little amount of time but she loves him too much that all the hatred all passed away in just a span of a few days since he vanished.

Even though she was in the bed she immediately hugged her cousin, which the latter returned without hesitation.

"I missed you Bam." She whispered.

"I missed you too Priya." He smiled with complete joy etched in his face.

They let go of each other to find themselves smiling with unshed tears on their eyes. After the exchange of hugs, they talked and talked about their lives for the past two years.

A few minutes later filled with them catching up on each others lives, Bambam made a suggestion which was beneficial to both Lisa and him.

"Lalisa?" She said.

"Yes, we'll be using your old nickname as your name for a while, it's for your safety anyways and even if we're laying low at the moment, a lot still recognizes us as it has only been ten months since the accident happened." He informed.

"It's a good thing your parents hid you from the public, so nobody knows your face, and I'm sure even less people recognizes you now that we're in Korea, but we can never be sure," Bambam said and Lalisa knows what he's implying. "You know that our family was supposed to join forces with the Jeons, and you know how known the Jeons are here in Korea."

"Yes, I'm aware." Lisa nodded.

Suddenly a thought crossed the Thai heiress's mind.

"Wait, what about my parents?" She asked. "Where are they?"

Bambam's face got paler, she doesn't know but it's like the atmosphere suddenly tensed, she could also see the sadness on her cousin's face which didn't ease her worry a bit.

"What's with the face Bam? C'mon tell me they're outside or if not at least tell me they're safe." Lisa's voice got lower and lower with each word she uttered, and Bambam can surely sense a hint of fear in it.

The last time she saw them was when they were in the same car heading to a famous restaurant to meet the Jeons who travelled to Thailand.

"Lalisa, there's no easy way to say this but. . ." Bambam paused, only to regret doing it after seeing the hope in the face of the younger.

"Your parents are dead."
