Chapter 58: Seven Years of Bliss

Seven years had passed since Seokjin and YN’s wedding day, and their love had only deepened with time. They had built a beautiful life together, not just as a couple, but as parents to two lively daughters who had inherited all of their best qualities.

The Kim household was always full of laughter and joy. Their two girls, five-year-old Hana and three-year-old Minji, were the light of their lives. Hana had Seokjin’s mischievous eyes and YN’s radiant smile, while Minji was the spitting image of YN, with Seokjin’s playful nature.

Seokjin was the quintessential doting father. He spoiled his daughters endlessly, showering them with affection, gifts, and endless dad jokes that always made them giggle. Hana and Minji adored their father, often wrapping him around their little fingers with their charming smiles and clever antics.

One Saturday morning, the house was buzzing with activity. Seokjin was in the kitchen, making pancakes shaped like little bears, much to the delight of his daughters. YN watched from the doorway, a fond smile on her lips as she saw her husband expertly flip a pancake.

“Appa, can I have a bear pancake with chocolate syrup?” Hana asked, her eyes wide with excitement.“Of course, my little princess,” Seokjin replied, grinning as he poured syrup over the pancake. “And how about you, Minji? Do you want strawberries on yours?”

Minji nodded eagerly, her pigtails bouncing as she did. “Yes, Appa! I love strawberries!”

As Seokjin served the pancakes, YN joined them at the table. “You’re spoiling them again, Seokjin,” she teased, though her tone was full of affection.

Seokjin winked at her, his grin playful. “What can I say? They’ve got their daddy wrapped around their little fingers. Besides, I learned from the best after all, you’re the one who stole my heart first.”

YN chuckled, shaking her head at his smooth words. Even after all these years, Seokjin’s charm still made her heart flutter.

After breakfast, the family spent the day playing in the park, with Seokjin chasing Hana and Minji around while YN, watched with a smile. The girls were fearless, climbing on the playground equipment and challenging each other to races, their confidence a mirror of their father’s.

As the day wore on, YN marvelled at how perfectly they had balanced their lives. Despite their demanding careers, she and Seokjin had managed to create a nurturing, loving environment for their children. They both made sure to be present, whether it was for bedtime stories, school events, or simple family outings like today.

That evening, after putting the girls to bed, Seokjin and YN retreated to the living room, enjoying a quiet moment together. YN leaned against Seokjin, her head resting on his shoulder as they sipped wine and watched the stars through the window.

“I’m so proud of us,” YN murmured, her voice soft. “We’ve built such a beautiful life together.”

Seokjin kissed the top of her head, his voice filled with warmth. “We have. And it’s all because of you, YN. You’re the heart of this family, the one who keeps us all grounded.”

“You’re the one who makes it all fun,” YN replied, smiling up at him. “Our girls adore you, you know. They’ve got your confidence, your attitude.”

“They’ve got the best parts of both of us,” Seokjin said, his voice full of love. “And they’ll grow up knowing they can do anything, just like their mom.”

They sat in comfortable silence for a while, content in each other’s presence. The journey hadn’t always been easy, but they had faced every challenge together, their bond growing stronger with each passing year.

As they sat there, watching the stars, Seokjin’s hand found YN’s, and he squeezed it gently. “Here’s to many more years of happiness, YN. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us and our girls.”

YN smiled, her heart full. “Neither can I, Seokjin. We’ve got a beautiful life ahead of us, and I’m so glad I get to spend it with you.”

As they sat there, wrapped in the warmth of their love and the joy of their family, YN knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, with the same love and laughter that had brought them this far.
