Star pov
As the plane landed I was super excited to be in America away from my home that kept me helpless. Now I'm free from their rules and can eat and do whatever I want! Only 6 months to find someone who could be with me for the rest of my life...that's not a very long time is it? "Princess Butterfly" I glared at my assistant dreading her high pitched voice calling me

"Amber, just call me Star okay we're not on home turf so chill, also I hope you don't tend to follow me around while I explore and meet guys" she nervously chuckled as she avoided looking into my eyes, I shake and rolled my eyes at her "Of course mother made you, I knew there was a reason you came, figures mother wouldn't trust me alone" she sighs and nods feeling a bit guilty, she slowly holds my hands "I'm sorry..Star but your mother's orders, I can't say no to the Queen of Mewni"

I groan but I understood, its policy to our country. As the limo drove us  to apartment building we'd be staying for the 6 months, I noticed how big it looked and the street it was on, the rich people side.  Why couldn't mother get me a cheap one? "I thought I told mother not too flashy or too big Amber?" I said as we pulled up at the massive apartment "Your mother said it's not big or flashy so it fits your standards, I'm sorry Princess" I shake my head "Sorry for what and amber remember, its star now" as we exited the car we walked up a flight of stairs to enter the house.

When I opened the door it wasn't that big but it had fancy modern objects around but it's whatever, I could deal with "Its fine..how's our room? Not like home right? " Amber stays silent as she walks and I quickly follow "We had maids travel here a week before your arrival and.. " I saw it filled with pillows and stuffed toys just like home and I shake my head "Its just like home..of course it is" as I walked down the hall I looked in her room it was just normal and pain and I smirked a bit "Star why are you smiling? I hate when you make that look" I pulled her towards my room and she looks at me a little afraid

"Amber you are going to be sleeping in my room while I'll take yours" she gasped and shook her head quickly "Absolutely not! Your a princess and should be treated like one" I giggled and held her hands "Not here I'm not, I'm just a regular girl who's trying to be normal and finding a guy who likes me for me" she sighs and moves away "But princess, we have rules" I rolled my eyes

"I don't care Amber, mom's not here nor father I'm 22 years old looking for some love okay? I should explore!" I spun her around making her dizzy as I ran towards the door "Wait! Princess wait for me!" I giggled and watched as she wobbled side to side bumping into furniture,  I laughed as ran down the cement stairs right into someone "Oh my goodness.."

I stopped and saw a tall man with mocha eyes and chestnut brown hair "Sorry..Wow Your beautiful..uh I mean!" His face flushed a light pink and I smiled a bit "Thank you..I'm super sorry for not looking where I'm going" he chuckles a bit while he looked at me a bit "You kinda have an accent? Are you not from here?"

"Yeah..I'm from a country named Mewni, it's pretty hidden on the map and it's not made up" he smirks and my face heats up a bit "Okay well welcome to America, well in downtown California..oh god I'm late!" I raised a brow at him and he smiles "I gotta get to work, but I would like to see you again?"

I smiled and held my hands close to my chest while I looked into his eyes "Sure..I'll love that, by the way my name is Star Butterfly" he smiles and shakes my hand "Marco Diaz,  here's my number" he noticed my phone in my hand and took it and handed it over "Just text me letting me know it's you okay?" I nodded still looking at his features which had me blushing like crazy

"Well see ya Star" he waved and ran off as I looked down I saw his name in my phone and his number "Princess?" Amber said out of breath and annoyed,  but her expression changed while I had a smile on my face "Why are you smiling? What did I miss? " I hugged her tight making her squeak out while creeping her out in the process

"I got a guys number and he want to meet up again! This is easier than I thought" Amber smiles and hugs me kinda off "Hopefully he's not a weirdo or a psycho" I nudged her "Or he could be the one for you" we giggled and decided to explore the city some more..

Marco Diaz
Her eyes were beautiful and her golden locks were perfect, she looks different from the girls around here. "Sorry...wow your beautiful...uh I mean!" I blushed of embarrassment and she smiles noticing my sudden action "Thank you..I'm Sorry for not looking where I was going"

she blushes a bit while she looked at me, of course I was doing the same to her, I noticed a slight accent she had "You kinda have an accent? Are you from here?" She chuckles and shakes her head "Yeah..I'm from a country named Mewni, it's pretty hidden on maps and it's not made up"

I chuckled a bit at her humor and she giggles a bit "Okay well welcome to America,  well into downtown California..oh god I'm late!" I noticed the time on my watch and she gave me a confused look, she's probably alone here and might need a guide as I thought for second I saw her phone that was unlocked

"I gotta get to work, but I would like to see you again?" She smiles a bit while she looked up with a flushed pink tint "Sure..I'll love that, by the way my name is Star Butterfly" I shook her hand and smiled "Marco Diaz, here's my number" I took her phone and quickly put my number in and she watched as I gave it back to her

"Just text me letting me know it's you okay?" She nods as I look at her "Well see ya Star" I waved and ran off to work after a couple minutes my phone started to buzz and it was her  》Hey it's me Star ♡《 I saved her number and got to work as the day went on i decided to leave work early.

I worked overtime over the weekend and needed a break. As began walking home I saw Star walking with bags and someone with her, her mother possibly? I quickly rushed seeing she was struggling so I helped "Let me help" she jumped a bit and relaxed noticing me "Oh, thank you also you scared me"

I chuckled and helped her with other bags "You didn't have to help you know" "Well I didn't want you to have a hard time with those bags, you were carrying quite a lot" she giggles "Well I wanted to experience it" I gave her a confused look "Experience it?" She giggles "Living on my own, doing things by myself since I was young my parents babied me my whole life"

I chuckled a bit "Oh, so your one of those kids?  Also who's this?" I asked looking at the short platinum blonde woman "Oh this is Amber, my cousin she's letting me stay with her for awhile,  and yeah somewhat but I don't want to be" of nodded and noticed she said awhile?

"Awhile? Why awhile?" She nods and sighs "Yeah I'm here..to..uh" she seemed to struggle, was that too forward or personal?  "To.. Help me with a wedding I'm doing here.." Amber said  giving her a nod which was odd "Okay? So your wedding planner? Never heard of you" I said while the shorter woman glared at me like daggers

"Yeah, a very well known one at that! The best! " Amber said while star covered her mouth "Yeah amber, he gets it so just quiet down" star says in a low nervous voice. I just eyed the both of them,  then again she is from a wealthy family "So Star your rich? Just like your parents"

I asked kinda feeling courious about the two"I'm not rich I don't consider myself rich..she's rich I'm just living under her roof for the months I have" I looked at her eyes and they held truth and I relaxed a bit "Star.."

"Amber shouldn't you call mother that I'm settled in well?" They glared at each other for a couple seconds before the shorter woman left glaring at Star, for family they seem to fight a lot but I wouldn't know their background

"Do you guys get along?" Star shrugs and sighs "Sometimes, not always though sometimes I feel trapped in a bubble, because my parents always wanted me to do the same great thing they've done.. but in reality I'm not like them at all, it gets annoying if I'm being completely honest with you" I walked towards the bar stool and she followed as well, I smirked a bit because she's very different from girls that I know or used to know

"Well if it makes you feel better I was a rich kid when I was growing up, my whole life my parents were known for their careers, their charities and events. When I was born I always had money and they coddle me and spoiled me until I was 18 when they asked if I wanted money to start out my life, of course I did who wouldn't? But I realized it's better earning the money then receiving it you know?"

She nods slightly and makes a face, I think I messed up why do I do that? "Sorry, I made you feel uncomfortable.. I should go.." she pulled my wrist and raised her voice a bit "No! I mean you didn't I was just trying to relate to your story.. Uh why don't you stay for dinner we're having.. pizza?" She said raising a brow which made me chuckle at her

"Have you never had or tried pizza?" She stared at me wondering what I'm talking about "What's Pizza? I held my mouth open and shook my hand "Wow, is there pizza where your from?" She shook her head while she looked down at her feet "No,there isn't fast food places or anything around the lines where I'm from" I started to smile wider thinking of all the places I could take her to,  that is if she wants to

"Well then, I should take you to a good place that you never heard of and try out the food, well only if you want to?" She nods quickly with a wide grin "Of course I do, that'll be fun" we laughed a bit as we stopped I looked at her blue eyes,  they seemed to shine under the dim lit room.

As i looked down at her lips they were plumped and looked soft, I felt myself lean closer but I stopped and popped out of my trance "Are you alright? You were just staring at me for a bit" my face grew hot and warm probably because I made a fool out of myself

"Yeah I'm okay sorry" she gives me a small smile and moves her hair behind her ears "Can I ask you something?" She nods "Of course what's up?" I hesitate a bit before I ask "I have any empty room in my apartment, you can be my roommate for the time being so you don't impose on your cousin? And don't worry I'll help you find a job to help pay rent?" She looked surprised and hesitant as she bit her lip "I have to talk about it with my cousin first, but I'll definitely let you know, if I can't I'm sorry"

I nodded and smiled away from her, what am I doing? Inviting a complete stranger into my home? But she looks harmless and wouldn't hurt anyone, but then again she was acting rather odd earlier with that amber chick "Star your mother wants to speak to you"

she groans nods as she stood up "I'll be right back okay" "I'll be here" she giggles as she walked down the hall with the phone. I sat there in silence being watched like a hawk by Amber, who clearly thinks I'm a crook.  I sigh loudly as she moved closer sitting beside me looking up

"What did you two talk about while I was in the other room?" I scoff at her question "Stuff?" I said smirking at her which caused her to groan in annoyance.  She shook her head and took a deep breath as asked again

"Obviously..but what about? I don't my cousin to fall for a complete stranger. I care and awful lot about her, seeing her grow up, seeing the men that walk in and out of her life. I don't want a guy she just met lead her on.." I rolled my eyes at her and shake my head

"She's old enough and capable to do her own things. She needs to learn somehow? She's a smart girl and has the guts to be who she wants to be." as she was going to respond Star came back with a smile on her face that fades seeing how close I am to her cousin,  I didn't want her to get the wrong idea so I moved away "I'm back, what's going on?" She asked looking at Amber and me.

I got up and walked towards the door as she quickly ran towards me "I'm going home Star, text me if you like" she looked upset and uneasy and glared at her cousin "Um okay? Am I going to see you again? " she asked while she walked beside me "Of course" she smiled and hugged me, for some reason it felt nice and warm "Bye Marco" I chuckled and hugged back "Bye Star" as I let go I took off..
