After the christmas and everything else my parents were arriving in 20 minutes and I was freaking out! Amber tried calming me but I ended up just yelling and being a scared teenager! Good thing Marco was out of town for a day so they won't be asking so many questions about him.

"Star try relaxing a bit? Your mother and father love you no matter what?" I sigh "I know that but I'm just afraid they'll spill out our secret Amber, mother isn't good with keeping secrets" Amber rolled her eyes "Sometimes she is but princess you'll be fine" as I took a deep breath we heard knocking and I jumped and squeaked a bit

" They're here, how do I look? Presentable?" She nods and we walked towards the door as she opens there stood my mother in a her casual outfit which was a skin tight dress and a small coat around her shoulders and her hair in a side braid. Father was in a suit and tie and for once they looked like normal people.

"Hello mother, father it's so nice seeing you again" mother embraces me tightly almost lifting off the ground since she was talked then me "Star my darling how have you been? My this house looks wonderful? Amber has she been doing well with her progress?"

Amber lowered her head and held her hands and nodded "Yes your highness..she has" she smiles and nods "Good, now where is?" "Mother about that..I have something to talk about first before you and father meet him" mother looked at me odd as father walked around the apartment.

"What is it?" "I haven't told him about me being a princess or us being royal" mother sighs "Star I thought the only reason we sent you here was to find someone to bring back to Mewni to become King?" I nodded "I did but then I noticed he might not like the royal me instead of the me that I am now"

mother looked confused "Star I have no clue what on earth you just said" I sigh "All I'm asking from both of you is to not ask him about marriage or him coming home with me" mother nods "Okay I won't ask but I need to at least know what or who he looks like?" I nodded

"He'll be here tomorrow he's out of town" she rolls her eyes "Well then what should we do now?" "I could show you around town?" Mother nodded and father did as well. We went walked through town and mother seemed interested in some shops that we even stopped a few times to buy a couple things.

"These shops are lovely I wished we had them in Mewni" I smiled "I said the same when I first arrived here" mother noticed my face and held it "What's wrong? Having seconds thoughts on becoming Queen?" I nodded "I am but also I'm afraid to tell Marco about me being a royal his aunt knows but she hasn't told anyone" mother sighs

"I'm sorry I'm pushing you into this...but Star I'm coming to my limit of ruling and so is your father..we want you to continue our legacy" I sigh "Why didn't you have more children?" Mother lowered her eyes and let out a soft sigh "I almost lost my life giving birth to you..." I gasp a bit and mother smiles gently "You almost died cause of me?"

She nods "Yeah but i couldn't leave you alone or your father..Star this is why I push you because I want you to experience things that I couldn't really do when I was your age and believe me I wish I could have another kid but I simply can't" I smiled and hugged her "Thank you" she giggles

"Your welcome sweetheart" as we finished shopping we want home where me and Amber cooked which made mother want to help while father took a video on my phone. "River please don't record this" "Oh come on moon, you look beautiful darling along with you princess" "Thank you daddy" we laughed and had fun and watch a movie and headed to bed, I stayed in ambers room while my parents took over mine.

"See your parents understand" I scoff "This is just today Amber, wait until tomorrow when mother doesn't approve.." Amber kissed my hands and smiled "Believe she will, I know how hard headed your mother is but she does have a heart star" I nodded "I know, night Amber" "Night star sleep well" I faced away and tried to sleep but all I could think about was my parents and Marco. Please go well.

The next morning I woke up to giggling and laughter. As i walked tiredly towards the kitchen I see Marco cooking breakfast and my parents smiling and talking at the table "Marco?" He looks at me and smiled as I walked towards him and he kisses me quick "Morning..I decided to come early, your parents are great and really nice"

I awkwardly smiled and looked between him and my parents "Yeah..let me get dressed" "Alright I'll be here" I felt out of place and Amber pulled me towards my room "What is going on?!" Amber covered my mouth

"Marco came over on his own, your parents were already awake and they started talking..then they asked basic questions and he answered them truthfully which they loved..Star I think your parents like Marco now it's your time to tell him the truth"

I nodded "Fine I'll tell him later, let me get ready for today" Amber nods and I get ready. I wore a short peach dress and my silver flats and a silver headband. As i stepped out everyone was eating and Marco hands me a plate "Made breakfast.." "Thanks..so what did you guys talk about?" "We talked about his interests and things he wants to do?" Mother replied

"We also talked about your childhood" I blushed "No way" "Yes princess, we talked about how cute and adorable you were as a baby" father said making me feel embarrassed "Please don't tell me you didn't see me as a baby butt naked." Marco chuckled a bit and mother pulled her phone out "I did..honey You were cute" I covered my face

"This is embarrassing.." "Hey star it's okay my parents are the same.." I giggled and hugged him "Marco you saw my baby butt that's weird!" He laughs "Its not weird unless you keep saying it's weird" I shook my head "Can we go and enjoy the day?" I begged and everyone nodded. Marco decided to head to a aquarium for the day and maybe dinner later in the day since it was fairly early morning.

As we arrived I stayed by Marco and held his hand and arm and we acted like my parents weren't even there. Until mother and father took him away which annoyed me "So Marco, where do you see yourself in a few years?" He smiles "Well hopefully with a stable job and a maybe married and have a family?"

Mother smirked and father took over "My boy, so you workout? You got quite the broad shoulders" he chuckles "Yes I workout and I take karate so I'm pretty fit" he looked impressed "I have another question." Mother asked "Yes Mrs. Butterfly?" She smiles "Would you marry my daughter?"

He blushed and looked at me and her "Well it's pretty early for marriage? And I love your daughter very much but not just yet" I sigh realizing this might be harder than I thought..mother noticed my expression and stopped asking him questions "Okay I just wanted to know.."

we continued on and I felt gone, like a part of me kinda felt sad that Marco wants to wait, but I don't have time but then another part of me wants me is happy he thinks we could possibly get married but overall it's just too much.

As we head towards dinner neither of my parents spoke to me nor asked anymore questions. Marco noticed my expression and even tried holding my hand but in all honesty I just want to go home. "Star what's wrong? Your acting distant now? Is it because of earlier?"

"No I'm fine Marco let's just eat okay? We'll talk more afterwards" I said kinda rudely but I didn't mean it I just felt annoyed "Star honey are you okay?" Mother asked and I moved away from her touch

"I'm fine mother just stop okay?" She looked guilty and sad but she sighs and we went and sat down. Dinner was quiet and very awkward. Marco tried talking but it just wasn't worth it and I just wanted it to end.

After eating and heading home Marco dropped my parents off and I waited until they were inside. "Star you gotta tell me what's going on? Did I upset you in any way to make you feel like this?" I took a deep breath

"Marco please stop talking for one second! Please" I said and he looked me a little off "Marco I'm acting this way because I'm upset with myself and a little at my mother. She only asked you if your going to marry me because..because.."

he tilted his head "What star? Tell me" I bit my lip and looked at him "Because I'm the princess of Mewni and my parents are the King and Queen..I'm next in line to be the queen and the real reason I'm here in America is to find my husband" I looked at him as he had shocked written all over his face

"That is why she asked if your going to marry me..and I'm so sorry I didn't tell you all of this in the beginning but I thought you wouldn't want to be with me if you knew..I just wanted to tell you now since I'll be gone in a couple weeks with or without you.." he stayed quiet trying to process

"So your a real princess? Oh my god I slept with a freaking princess..I'm dating a princess? What?!" He was freaking out and I knew he would he'll just have to process this "I'm sorry Marco" I said in tears and ran into my apartment. He didn't even stop me and he took off probably thinking about this and to be honest I hope he did.
