Marco pov
After walking to get something eat I noticed Star looking a little down, was it something I did or what my aunt said? "Star are you okay? You seem distracted or out of it" she nods "I'm fine" she softly says but it kinda annoyed me a bit "Please tell me what's wrong? I want to help you please?" She smiles

"I'm thinking about when I leave, I really don't want to leave but can't really because of my job at home" I didn't know she had a job? "You have a job?" She nods and looks away "Yeah, it's a family business kinda deal, they pass it down to me and I have to take it no matter what"

wow the way she was making it sound it was making me want her to stay here too "Oh" I didn't know what to say but the look in her eyes seemed to tell me otherwise "I wish I didn't have to be an only child, I could've been here seeing you and see where my where my future goes?"

I chuckled softly "Well your still here with me, and we have time before you actually have to go back" she nods "I don't want to cause you pain" she said softly "Cause me pain? What are you talking about star?"

She avoided looking at me and sigh "Marco, be honest are you afraid that I'll turn out to be another Jackie?" I gasp a bit and looked down "At first yes, but then we got to know each other better and I started falling for you, because your so different from the girls here..they don't take the time to share or even give someone a chance because they assume the worst and leave without a vaild reason"

star held my hand as we stopped in front of a store "I'm not taking you for granted and I love that you take the time to understand the real me instead of what I am, some rich girl thinking she's perfect when I'm reality I'm not..I'm a mess up, I'm never in time, I'm last but who isn't?"

I chuckled which made her smile "What I'm saying is don't compare me to someone who didn't take the time to understand you" she held my face and I kissed her "Okay"

Time skip to 2 months later~

I woke to my phone going off. As i check it was star and I smiled, ever since that day we talked we actually got better but I been noticing she's been acting a little strange whenever we talked about her birthday since she'll be gone by then.

It hurts me as well because if not I would totally go with her and leave everything behind just for us to start a life seeing as my life wasn't good until she showed up "Marco! I'm heading out!" I heard yell from the living room, I didn't even want to move from my bed I just wanted to stay in but I got Christmas shopping to do for my parents and some family as well friends too

"Finally you answered I thought your phone died" I smile looking at star on my phone "Sorry I was fixing myself since I look like a hot mess" she giggles "Your hit either way" we laugh and I start looking for clothes "What are you doing today?"

I hum as I find a pair of jeans and a tee "Christmas shopping, want to come an help?" She nods "Yeah sounds like fun" I nod "See you in a few" she nods "Okay see you" she blows a kiss and ends the call "what am I gonna buy her?" As I drove towards her place she entered and kissed me "Good morning Marco, who are you shopping for?"

I smirk "Family first then friends after and yours is last" she gave me loving look "You don't have to marco" "Yeah I don't have to but I want to...and you can't stop me" we laugh as we head towards the mall and it was full and I held star close to me "Wow I haven't seen so many people like this"

"Its Christmas week people are last minute shopping" "Christmas? What is that?" I forgot her customs are different "Its a day we share gifts with lives ones, have you heard it done it where your from?" She shook her head "No, my country is kinda old school I guess?" I chuckled and looked for the gifts

"Alright I got my parents, my aunt, my cousin..the guys at work, Janna..all I need is you" she blushes "You already have me" I kissed while smiling her "I know silly I'm talking about a gift" she rolls her eyes at me "I don't need anything Marco, what would you like? Seeing I bought a gift for Amber"

"I have a gift that you can't give me" sigh slightly as she understood what I meant "Oh..alright" after that we went to my apartment and star shrieked "Tom! What are you doing here?! I told you I'm not taking you back" she said sternly

"Relax Starship, I actually found someone new seeing as we aren't going to get back together I thought why not start dating someone new" as he finished Janna can out in an elegant black dress and her hair down with a silver pin by her side "Babe how do I look? Oh get guys so I see you guys met Tom"

I nodded slowly confused and star looks surprised but kinda weirded out. They missed which made star gag a bit but she called herself "Um congrats on a new boyfriend janna" I say actiing polite "Thanks Marco"

star took a deep breath "I'm also happy for you Janna, even if I don't like him I'm still fine with this" Janna hugged star "Thanks I was worried you wouldn't accept seeing you two were engaged and all" "No it's totally fine, well go one you two have fun" Janna smiled and walked hand in hand with Tom which looked happy

"Wow she looks happy and Janna is never really the type to be happy" star looked at me odd "Really?" I nodded "Yeah all of the guys Janna dated were jerks and wouldn't treat her right, until now" star smiled

"Maybe they have something in common?" I shrugged "Probably, well let's start wrapping the gifts up" star nods and we get everything done. Maybe this is year it's bitter sweet..
