Chapter 9 Reunion
~Atlas~
It been about a year since I left Miral. I really miss Griffin but he probably found another servant by now. Griffin was not the type that let something like this to stop him. He probably forgotten about me. I hope he moved on from me but I don't want him to. It probably better this way.
I walked out of my little hut. I looked at the people of Bes. I hear horses in the distanced. I turn towards the sound of the horses. Bandits must be coming; I walked to some of the people to tell them to go hide.
"What are going to do, Atlas?" asked on of the elders.
"By sometime for you to hide," I said gently pushing him to the hut.
"You can't child your too young," He begged.
"We don't have a choice," I said sweetly. I walked to the edge of the village, waiting for the bandits to appear. What I didn't except was Griffin and his men to show up here.
"Griffin?" I said, out of shock.
"Atlas," Griffin said, jumping off his horses.
"How did you know I was here?" I asked him. He walked over to me.
"I didn't know that you lived here," he said, wrapping his arms around me, "Where are the people?"
"They are hiding," I said, pushing him away.
"Why?"
"I thought you where bandits," I said innocently. He smiled and I smiled back.
"Well go get them for me," He whispered in my ear. I nodded and ran to one of the huts. The next few moments everyone was around the prince.
"Thought you said they where bandits," said one of the elders. I shrugged.
"Sorry for the scare," Griffin apologize.
"It's fine, Griffin, and thank you," I said, smiling at him.
"Anytime, Atlas," He smiled, swinging his arm over my shoulder.
"So what are you doing here, Griffin?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.
"Reports of sorcery," Griffin said. I swallowed a lump in my throat, "Are you alright, Alas. You look a little pale," He asked.
"Yea, I'm fine. What happens that the person that you trust was born with sorcery?" I asked out curiosity.
"Well, I don't know. Why are you asking?" Griffin said, moving closer to me.
"Maybe I know the soccer," I gulped. Griffin wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Tell who the soccer is," Griffin whispered in my ear.
"Its me," I whispered, hoping he didn't hear.
"Are you serious, Atlas?" Griffin asked. I nodded, "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
"I was afraid of what you would do if you found out. I still am," I said, not looking Griffin in the eyes.
"So you are scared of me," He asked, placing a hand on my cheek. I shook my head. Griffin placed his forehead on mine, "Good I don't know what I would do if you became scared of me," he whispered.
"What are going to do now that you know?" I asked.
"I honestly don't know," Griffin said, pulling me closer.
"Uhm," said one of the knights. We looked towards the knight.
"We should be getting back to Miral, Sire," said the knight.
"Yes, we should. Come on, Atlas," Griffin said, pulling me with him.
"I can't go with you," I said sadly, pulling away from Griffin.
"Why not?" He asked.
"I'm not aloud to," I said, moving away from Griffin.
"Why not?" Griffin asked getting more angry.
"Your father band me for entering the town remember, Griffin," I said, raising my voice. My version is becoming blurry.
"I forgot that he did that. I 'm sorry, Atlas," Griffin said, moving closer to me.
"Just go before your father sends more troops," I said, backing away him.
"No, I can't leave you here, Atlas," Griffin said, moving closer.
"You don't have a choice," I said, turning away from him and headed to my hut.
