Chapter one
I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock screaming at me. I groan and roll over, peeling my eyes open to see the time. "6:30", it read. Thinking to myself, "I have plenty of time to sleep in, after all I don't need to shower, I did that last night." I close my eyes and listen to the birds softly chirping as the sun came up.
"GET UP YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE," my mother screamed, slamming my door. I fell off my bed and looked at the time. "Shit," I thought, "I'm going to be late." I knocked over the clock as it laid on its side, the numbers reading "7:50." I ran to my closet and grabbed a flannel, with some blue jeans, and my grey vans. "Shit, shit, shit, shit," I kept muttering as I ran to the bathroom, quickly brushing my teeth and then my hair. I looked in the mirror one last time as I ran out, then running back in to grab my bag and books. I get to the stairs and run/walk down them, being careful not to fall. I go into the kitchen and say good bye to my mom. "Take your pills, or else you're gonna be in a piss ass mood all day," she said shoving them into my hand along with a glass of milk. I swallow them and chug the glass of milk as she hands me a banana. "Don't want you to get sick," she said grabbing her cup of coffee and her keys. We leave the house and make it to my school in five minutes. "New world record mom," I said chuckling. She smiled and looked at me, "Get out before you're late Sam." I open the door and get out, "Love you too mom." I shut the door as she blows me a kiss and drives off. I take a deep breath and look at my new school, wondering what secrets this school beholds.
I walk into the office and look around. I spot a small, young looking secretary, typing furiously on her keyboard. She must have been no older than 23, her brown hair falling in front of her eyes quiet often, and her grey eyes shining brilliantly. She didn't notice me as I came in, so I walked up to her desk and cleared my throat. She looked up and nearly fell out of her chair, "Goodness honey, you nearly scared the soul out of me," she exclaimed, laughing softly. "I'm sorry," I said sheepishly, rubbing the back of my head and looking down. "What can I help you with doll face?", she asked pushing her hair out of her face and smiling. "I need my schedule, if you're not too busy," I say, smiling and looking down at her. "Well of course honey, what's your name?", she said as she got up and looked in her filing cabinet. "It's Samuel, Samuel green," I reply looking as she shuffled a hand full of folders before pulling out a schedule with my name on it. "Here you go Sammy," she said as she handed me the schedule. "Thank you so much," I say as I walk out of the office and down the hall. "204, 204, 204," I keep repeating under my breath as I passed each classroom, looking for my own. I eventually reached a door labeled "204" at the end of the hall. I reach out towards the handle and take a deep breath. "Here goes nothing," I thought to myself as I opened the door.
