Chapter 106- Good Girl Gone Bad, Really Bad

Dr Kozak did not believe what he had just heard.
Dr Kozak would not believe what he had just heard.
He "replied" back to what Kieran had said by speculatively staring at him non stop, then Esperanza, blinking intermittently.
"No. No. No. That can't be true. That can't be true!" Dr Kozak hollered, banging his right hand on the computer table.
"It's true, Dr Kozak," Esperanza corrected him, standing up and walking away from his lap a long time ago. "We're really sorry."
Instead of crying his heart out when he had heard that, Dr Kozak was absolutely outraged, as in he was currently fuming right now.
"I don't believe you."
"Well, you better believe us, because we're telling you the truth right now, and nothing else but that," Kieran corrected him, then knew that he had to stop talking when Dr Kozak shot him a really hostile death glare.
"Yeah, well I don't." Dr Kozak argued. "And I can't believe you guys would make up such a stupid lie like that-" when he said the word lie, he banged his computer table really deafeningly with his hand again- "Just to get me going mad at you."
What part of Kieran and Esperanza weren't lying did Dr Kozak not understand?! There had to be some other way to make it up to him... But what?
"Doctor Kozak, you need to believe us." Kieran ranted. "Arista is dead. Alastair shot her. We couldn't do anything about it because we didn't know until after Alastair shot her that Arista was dead. We're truly sorry for your loss. Honestly."
"You know what," Dr Kozak bickered, turning around on his spinning chair to face the computer. He then started it. "There's only one way to prove if you guys are telling me the truth."
"Which is..." Kieran and Esperanza trailed off melodramatically.
"I'll ask Estelle," Dr Kozak replied, still really angry at both of them. "Estelle knows everything that happens during the mission. Only she can determine whether we pass or fail, and also whether my daughter really died or not!"
Dr Kozak was really, really exasperated, and both Kieran and Esperanza could tell. No one really said anything though because Kieran and Esperanza were both silently watching Dr Kozak say something to his computer.
"Okay, Estelle... Tell me. Did my daughter Arista die in the mission? Or are Kieran and Esperanza just lying?"
Estelle replied straight away.
Yes Demetrius, yes she did. I'm really sorry.
Dr Kozak wanted to faint or collapse but luckily managed to keep calm, therefore preventing this from happening. He was still really mad though, give or take.
"And is it true that Alastair shot her?"
Estelle replied straight away again.
Yes. Alastair shot her.
"That son of a-"
Although Dr K didn't finish his sentence because he realised that Estelle still had much much much more to say.
Although not really 'shot'. He strangled her to death then killed her when she was already dead. Either way, your daughter has died. Sorry for your loss, Demetrius. Like I said earlier...
Dr Kozak cried really livid tears as he turned around to face Kieran and Esperanza, who were just staring at him expressionlessly.
"I guess you guys were right."
"We're really sorry," Kieran and Esperanza both sympathetically muttered at the same time, coming up to hug Dr Kozak, who actually hugged them back, although really grudgingly.
It was during their hug that Dr Kozak noticed something. Just then Arista, the real Arista, walked into the scene, yawning her heart out.
"Hey guys. Good morning. It's like seven o'clock right now. What did I miss?"
As soon as they had heard that, that was when they stopped hugging, all three of them turning around concurrently and staring at her.
They were all confused at first, but once Kieran, Esperanza and Dr Kozak realised who they were staring at, they all pretty much screamed with jubilance at exactly the same time.
Nearly. Kinda.
Dr Kozak: *continuously blinking at her* Arista... Arista is that you?
Arista was downright perplexed.
Arista: Uhm... Yes? Who else would be at your laboratory at seven o'clock in the morning because they have nothing else better to do?
Dr Kozak didn't reply, just ran up to her and hugged her, spinning Arista round and round and round.
Arista: *after the unexpected hug from her father* Whoa. Dad. You're acting like you haven't seen me in ten years!
Dr K, Kieran and Esperanza: *all at the same time, looking at Arista* We all thought you died!
Arista: You all thought I died? Why?
Kieran: Because someone shot you!
Arista was really bewildered for a while, a bit angry, mainly because they all thought that she was dead.
She was just looking at all of them blankly for a long long time, her father, then Kieran, then Esperanza, before finally saying something once she realised something.
Arista: *kind of laughs her head off* Oh I see what's going on. Someone must have shot my clone.
Dr Kozak, Kieran and Esperanza: *say this all at the same time again* Your clone?
Arista: Yes. That's what I wanted to tell you, dad, via text. You guys went on the mission with my clone. You left the real me behind.
Dr Kozak: Wait wait wait. If something bad happens to the clone, doesn't that start to negatively affect you?
Arista: Oh. No. I made it so that that wouldn't happen. Don't ask me how. Long story. Plus it's kind of hard to explain.
Dr Kozak: Well we're all glad you're back. *hugs her again*
Arista: *hugs back, grimacing complacently* So did you guys ace or fail the mission?
Dr Kozak: If we failed it, would all of KOZAHKISTAN HEADQUARTERS basically be a golden bouncy castle right now?
Arista: Oh yeah. Good point. Congrats in advance.
Arista was going to sit down on her father's golden spinning chair, but just then, two security guards or policemen came crashing into the scene.
Abruptly, they both came into the room, took Arista, handcuffed her, one of them closing the door.
Everyone in the scene were all really really perturbed.
No one really knew what the hell was going on.
Security guard 1 (dark skinned one): *holding a handcuffed Arista who is trying to escape but is backfiring* I'm sorry to interrupt, but we need to take Arista with us.
Dr Kozak: What? Why? And I don't even know you guys!
Security guard 2 (light skinned one): *sarcastic tone to his voice* Really?
Dr Kozak: What's that supposed to mean?
That was when Security Guards one and two removed their sunglasses, and when Dr Kozak saw who they were, he gasped and then smiled his heart out, albeit mainly at the dark skinned one.
Dr Kozak: Agent Ezekiel ... Agent White? What are you guys doing at KOZAHKISTAN HEADQUARTERS disguised as security guards?
Ezekiel: Demetrius, that was what you said we should do if we don't have anything else better to do.
Agent White: And we don't have anything better to do so that figures.
Kieran: I'm really confused though. Why do you guys need to arrest Arista?
Ezekiel: Because she's a criminal, Kieran. Believe it or not.
Dr Kozak had almost fainted, but then Esperanza heroically caught him.
Dr Kozak: Arista is not a criminal. She's my daughter.
Ezekiel and White: ....Who is a criminal.
Esperanza: *folds her arms* How is she a criminal though? What did she do?
White: She murdered Ezekiel's son, Septimus, and she killed my girlfriend, Annunziata Kitashirakawa.
Kieran, Dr K and Esperanza: Annunziata what?
White: Doesn't matter. Also, she works for your arch nemesis.
Dr Kozak: I don't believe you.
Ezekiel: Well, you better believe it, Demetrius. Because it's true. Whether you like it or not.
Dr Kozak: I still don't believe you.
Arista: *is still handcuffed, and is struggling to get out* Dad! Don't listen to them! Everything that they're saying or have said is a massive lie!
Dr Kozak just stared at her spitefully, not saying anything.
Ezekiel: Would you rather believe your best friend or your daughter?
Dr Kozak: My daughter. I've known her longer.
Ezekiel: No you haven't.
Dr Kozak: Plus you don't have any proof that Arista suddenly "works" for Diana Valentine, aka my arch nemesis.
White: Or do we?
Dr Kozak didn't say anything. Just then, Ezekiel brought out something from his pocket, telling Dr Kozak to read it.
Dr Kozak soon became really angry once he realised that everything that Ezekiel and White were telling him...
....was correct.
Dr Kozak: *to his daughter* Arista, you secretly work for my arch nemesis?!
White: That's what we told you.
Dr Kozak: *ignores him, says this to his daughter again* Just why didn't you tell me, Arista?
Arista: Maybe I just didn't want any of you guys to find out.
Ezekiel: She doesn't work for your arch nemesis, Demetrius. She works for your arch nemesis' sister, which makes everything twice as worse because she's killed more people.
Dr Kozak: You work for Isabelle Lopez?!
Esperanza and Kieran: Who's Isabelle Lopez?
Dr Kozak: *turns to them aggravatingly... Then calms down* Isabelle is Diana Valentine's sister. We got married a few years ago but then she divorced me.
Kieran: I thought you married Lauriel's mother.
Dr Kozak: Nope. Turns out it was Isabelle!
Esperanza: If she's Diana's sister then why don't they have the same surname?
Dr Kozak: She's married, Diana murdered her husband and can't get married again because she's dead.
Ezekiel: Anyway. Arista works for Isabelle, and is a double agent. Together, her and Isabelle go out doing illegal things, conspiratorial things and just plain things in general that I can't tell you about because they involve killing people and death.
Dr Kozak: She's not getting away with this. I need to punish her for not telling me.
Arista: No! Dad! Don't listen to them!
Dr Kozak just slapped her in return, shutting Arista up.
Dr Kozak: Silence. I trusted you, but obviously you, once again, let me down.
White: So what do you want us to do to her?
Dr Kozak: I'll think about it.
Then there was a three second pause before Dr Kozak finally said something again.
Dr Kozak: Kill her.
Arista: What? No, dad! You can't do this to me!
Dr Kozak just slapped her once again, really really really annoyed at her.
Dr Kozak: If you don't want me to slap you any more, then I suggest you stop talking, you untrustworthy daughter!
Pfft. Yeah right, he could talk.
He was untrustworthy.
But not this untrustworthy. Jesus.
Arista stopped talking after that, especially seeing as Agent White was squeezing her mouth.
White: So let me get this straight. You want me and Ezekiel to kill her?
Dr Kozak just looked at his daughter, not saying anything.
Dr Kozak: Yes. I can't believe I'm saying this but I want you to kill my daughter.
Ezekiel: Okay. You've made your decision. Can't argue with that.
Dr Kozak just shrugged in return.
That was when agent Ezekiel had asked Dr Kozak for a gun, which Kozak surreptitiously gave to him, although as Ezekiel was about to kill Arista, he had only managed to place a gun near her head before Dr Kozak finally said something.
Dr Kozak: Wait a second. Don't kill her. She's not even a human anyway.
Everyone else in the room except Dr Kozak: What?
Kozak: *looking really slowly at everyone except his daughter, who he shoots a really dirty look to* I said that Arista isn't a human being. Jeez. What part of 'Arista isn't a human being' don't you guys understand? For goodness sake.
Kieran: What do you mean, Arista isn't a human being?
Dr Kozak: I'll explain later, Kieran. If you remind me, that is.
Ezekiel: So what do you want us to do to her, Demetrius?
Dr Kozak: Once again... I'll think about it.
That was when Dr Kozak lowered his head, thinking of how to punish Arista for not telling him that she was pretty much working for Diana Valentine's sister, and that she was a downright criminal.
When no one was really looking, Dr Kozak lifted his head up, staring at Ezekiel for a while, and then winked at him, still frowning.
Ezekiel: *mouths* What's the wink for?
Dr Kozak didn't say anything.
Ezekiel: Oh. I get it. You want me to deactivate her, because she's not human?
Dr Kozak: I'll kill her, and you deactivate her at the same time. Arista's a robot. Just like her clone, there's a red button at the back of her neck that deactivates her, and once she's deactivated, she can no longer be activated again.
Ezekiel: *throws gun back at Dr Kozak* If you're going to kill her then what's the point of me deactivating her?
Dr Kozak: Because deactivation doesn't always work. And if it does work, it doesn't always work on time. So by me killing her and you deactivating her simultaneously, she'll be dead, which is good.
Ezekiel: Okay... So when should we start this?
Dr Kozak: On the count of three.
Then Dr Kozak counted to three.
As soon as he hit three, he pointed his purple gun from Diana's black wardrobe of multi coloured guns at his daughter, then shot her.
And at the same time, or just one second after Dr Kozak had killed his daughter Ezekiel deactivated her.
Arista breathed her last then fainted on the floor, Kieran and Esperanza gasping as Agent White caught her.
And there and then.
The real Arista was dead.
Because Dr Kozak and Ezekiel had just both concurrently murdered her.
