Part 38

The trio looked at each other shocked. Shyam gestured to Arnav to go near her. Arnav saw her tears which are flowing continuously, the sight which he hates most. He signaled both Shyam and Aman to leave to which both did.

Arnav went near her and sat on her knees. He called softly "Khushi"

Without any delay, Khushi hugged him tightly startling him. She is crying over his chest. Arnav couldn't understand what to do. Khushi cried for a long time, finally her cries subdued and she looked up at Arnav who is looking at her with pitiful looks.

In the next minute, she fainted in his arms panicking him. He patted her cheeks but of no use. He lifted her and went to the bed room, placed her on the bed.

He sprinkled water on her face which made her come to conscious. She looked at Arnav who felt relieved seeing her opening eyes. She slowly got up and sat on the bed.

"What are you doing here ?? How did you even came to know I am here ??"asked Arnav.

"I heard Amanji's conversation with you. I followed him" said Khushi

" I know you must be shocked knowing Dhruv's truth. Don't go and lash him now. He is dangerous" said Arnav.

"If I want to do that, I would have done it in the hospital itself" said Khushi.

Arnav looked at her confused.

"I came to know about him the day we returned from US" said Khushi. Arnav's eyes widened hearing it. He connected the dots and finally found the reason behind her changed behaviour.

Khushi lowered her head not able to meet his eyes. She slowly got up from bed and stood before Arnav.

"I am very sorry Arnavji. I know Sorry is very small word to erase the pain caused to you by me. It is not even easy for you to forget what all I said ?? Even if I say lakh sorries it won't match your pain." Khushi is going to say some more when Arnav said "You need to go home"..She looked at him shocked.

"Arnavji!! What are you saying ??" Khushi whispered.

" It is already late Khushi. You need to leave. Everyone will be waiting for you in house. Aman is outside. He will drop you" said Arnav and left from there before she could acknowledge anything.

Arnav dialed Aman's number and asked him to come in. Khushi too came out of the room. Arnav asked Aman to drop Khushi home. Aman nodded his head confused by his boss's behaviour. Khushi just silently followed Aman. She turned and looked at him who turned to other side. Wiping her tears, she followed Aman.

Khushi asked Aman to drop her at Gupta house which he obeyed. She entered into the room. Garima and Shashi who are in the hall were surprised to see her but soon got frightened seeing her vulnerable state.

"Khushi. Beta. What happened ??"asked Garima.

Khushi hugged her mother crying. Both Garima and shashi looked at each other confused.

Khushi after sometime, composed herself and explained them about Dhruv and how she mistreated Arnav ?? Garima and shashi were shocked to hear it.

"Khushi. I can't believe this. How could you even hurt Arnav bitwa like that ??"asked Garima.

"I am sorry amma. I am really a big fool" said Khushi crying.

" And that Dhruv he is really dangerous. You did a big mistake Khushi" said Garima.

" Yes. It is all my mistake only naa" said Khushi sarcastically.

" Why amma ?? Don't you think there is even your mistake too ??"asked Khushi.

"Our mistake!!" surprised Garima.

"Haan Amma. When you and Babuji never liked Dhruv, then why did you people agreed for our marriage ?? I agree I was stubborn to marry him but do you think that I will go against your wishes and marry him. Do you think I won't believe you ?? You may have said a word then I would have definitely reconsider my decision. Don't you know your daughter. Even you both are responsible for this and Arnavji, he is no less in this matter. Dhruv said he wanted to start everything afresh with me, he believed it and sacrificed me. You are all responsible for my condition and now blaming me. Any girl in my place would have done the same." said Khushi and walked out of the house leaving a perplexed couple.

In RM:

Khushi entered the house in a total lost form. Anjali, Nani and Dhruv are in the hall. She din't acknowledge anyone and was going to her room when Nani called her.

" Why were you late Khushi ??"asked Dhruv.

"I went to meet my parents" said Khushi without looking at him. she looked at Nani said 'I am having a terrible headache Nani. I will take rest" and left from there..

During dinner time too, Khushi didn't came downstairs. When HP went to call her, she said she is not hungry. Nani and others worried for her while Dhruv felt suspicious.

Khushi is standing at the poolside lost in her thoughts. The words of Dhruv in the video are haunting her. If Dhruv didn't planned for that fake accident, then by now she would have been....Dhruv thought to use her for his business.. The thought itself is making her shiver. The reality is very far from what she expected. She smiled fadely. Khushi!! You are a big fool.

Her thoughts were broken by the knock at the door. She looked at HP who is looking at her.

"Khushi Bhabi. Dhruv bhaiyya is calling you" said HP.

"Say him that my head is aching. So I slept" said Khushi. Though confused, Hp nodded his head and left from there.

Naniji is going to sleep when Khushi called her.

"Naniji. I need to ask something to you" said Khushi.

"Haan Bitiya. "said Nani.

" I have a friend named Preeto. She is in Mumbai. It is her marriage in next two days. She invited me to come. So I want to go" asked Khushi.

" Did you ask Chote ?? If he doesn't have any problem then I am ok" said Nani.

"I talked with him Nani. He agreed" said Khushi.

"Then ok beta. When you are leaving ??'asked Nani.

"Tomorrow Morning" said Khushi. Nani nodded her head.

"I Will pack my bags" said Khushi and took out her clothes starting her packing.

On the other hand, Arnav is in the room thinking about today's incidents. Khushi knew about Dhruv before hand. So she is behaving normal with him these days. She must be feeling guilty. He remembered how she is irritated to meet Dhruv in hospital and how she address him as his brother not even taking his name.. He can't understand where his life is leading. He just left everything on the destiny. But he hope Khushi doesn't lose control and lash out on Dhruv which is dangerous to her life. If Dhruv even gets a slightest hint that Khushi came to know truth, he will definitely won't leave her easily.

Arnav dialed Khushi's number to talk with her not to spill beans. Khushi who is packing saw the number screen flashing with Arnav's name.

A smile crept on her face and she lifted the call, went towards poolside

"Arnavji" called Khushi happily.

" Woo.. I called you to say something important" said Arnav.

"Ji"

"Where are you ??"asked Arnav.

"I am at the poolside Arnavji" said Khushi.

"Khushi. Be patient and control yourself. Behave normally with Dhruv. If he even gets a slightest hint that you know about him. He will go to any extent. So be careful" said Arnav.

"OK Arnavji. I will" said Khushi. She was overwhelmed with this care of Arnav. There was a silence for sometime on both sides.

Finally Arnav said" Ok. I will hang down the phone"

"Good Night Arnavji" said Khushi.

"Good Night" whispered Arnav and disconnected the call. Khushi was on the cloud nine with his call and his response to her wish.

Next Morning:

Khushi packed her bags and came downstairs. Anjali and others looked at her confused.

" Are you going some where ??"asked Anjali.

"Haan Di. I am leaving for Mumbai to attend my friend's marriage" said Khushi. Anjali din' t say anything after that.

"Khushi Bitiya. I think you should inform Dhruv once before leaving" said nani.

Though, she doesn't want, Khushi agreed for Nani and left to Dhruv's room. He was talking with NK something but stopped seeing her.

"Dhruv. I am leaving for Mumbai" said Khushi.

"Mumbai. Why ??"asked Dhruv.

" My friend preeto's marriage is in Mumbai. So I am going to attend it" said Khushi.

"You didn't even bother to ask me once." Said Dhruv irritated.

Khushi kept numb not answering..

"When you are leaving ??"asked Dhruv.

"Now. The train is in half an hour. Good Bye" said Khushi and left from there. Dhruv fumed in anger. She doesn't even acknowledge him these days anymore.

In Guest House:

Arnav is sitting on the sofa sipping his handmade coffee when the door bell rang. Thinking it to be Aman, he went and opened the door only to find Khushi standing with a bag in her hands.

"Khushi!!" said Arnav.

She smiled to him and entered the house pushing him aside. She directly went near dining table and drank water. She opened her bag and removed a tiffin box.

"Here it is Arnavji. I have brought your breakfast. Your favorite puri halwa" said Khushi placing on the table.

Arnav caught her wrist "Khushi.. What are you doing here ?? And what will family think"

"Relax Arnavji. I said to them that I am going to Mumbai for my friend's marriage" said Khushi

"What ??"asked Arnav shocked "But why are you here ??"

"Because you are here Arnavji. A wife's place is where her husband stays. So I came here" said Khushi and went into the kitchen.

Arnav stood there not knowing what to say.

After sometime, Khushi is going to enter in Arnav's room but stopped hearing his conversation.

" I don't know jiju. I am confused. My mind is not ready to forgive her but my heart is still longing for her. "said Arnav.

" But I fear jiju, if again she breaks my heart, this time I can't able to survive" said Arnav gulping.

" I think she is doing all these out of guilt because she hurted me" said Arnav and turned only to see Khushi infront of him with tears in her eyes.

"Khushi" whispered Arnav.

"Do you really think I am doing all these out of guilty Arnavji ??" said Khushi with painful expression.

"Khushi..I..." Arnav is going to say something but Khushi stopped him showing her hand " I Know Arnavji after what I did you think about me in this way. But believe me, I am not doing all these out of guilt Arnavji. I am doing all these because of love. (( Arnav looked at her shocked)).. Yes Arnavji. I admit that I have an unknown attraction towards you from the day I joined AR. I always used to dream about you. But everything changed the day I saw Lavanyaji crying in your cabin and Dhruv falsely fed stories on you.. I still now curse myself for even believing his words. Even Dhruv said you are a bad person, I couldn't stop myself from thinking about you..When Dhruv proposed me, I just said OK to him only to avoid your thoughts.. The day you proposed for a second my heart yearned to say you yes but suddenly I remembered Dhruv's words and rejected your proposal.. I went on convinced my heart that I Love Dhruv.. After our marriage I always reminded you I Love only Dhruv not make you realize but to control myself from falling for you again. But on the day I met Nithya I came to know how wrongly I judged you and when I read your diary, I came to know how much you love me. I am really ashamed of myself. So I thought not to suppress my feelings for you anymore. "

Arnav just stood dumbstruck hearing all these.

" I am not asking you to forgive me Arnavji. But give me a second chance to prove myself as a good wife. Please don't keep me away from you. I can't bear that thought. I know our past gave us a lot of bitter memories. Can't we make new memories for our future ?? Plz give me another chance. I want to be your wife. I promise this time I won't disapooint you and shower a lot of love to you" said Khushi. Arnav is just thinking about her words.

" Take you own time to accept me Arnavji. I am ready to wait even if it takes life time" said Khushi and left from there.

Arnav sat on the bed when he heard doorbell. He came out of the room. Khushi opened the door only to find Aman. She welcomed him smiling.

"ASR. I need to talk with you" said Aman.. Arnav nodded his head and both settled on the sofa while Khushi entered back into the kitchen.
