Author's note: Hello to all the new readers, my phone was unusually noisy the past few days, hehe, thank you so much! I would like to leave a personal message on all of your profile, but I have hit the limit (error 1131), so I gotta wait until it lifts the limit for me *cries*. I wish I could thank you immediately but I can't ;_;.

Just so you know, I really appreciate the support from everyone (whether you are a silent reader, or silent reader who gives votes). Once again, thank you so much ❤❤.

Her hair constantly slapped against her face, her eyes squinting involuntarily as she tumbled through the air. It didn't help that the wind was particularly violent today, throwing off her balance even further.

Her heart drummed deafeningly in her ears, her breaths unsteady.

Even if she wanted to scream, Cecil couldn't.

Her entire world was spinning, and all she could see was a myriad of colours and landscape. She did not know where and when she was going to land.

Fuck! What the fuck!

Cecil could only scream in her mind, unable to find any kind of balance in the air.

[ Warning: Please be advised that once you land, there will be a zero percent chance of survival. We, the Transmigration World System, will not be responsible for your death in this world. ]

"What makes you think I wouldn't fucking know that, AI500?!"

Cecil spat harshly in her mind, and a sudden thought occured to her.

[ Please refrain from speaking vulgarities-- ]

"AI500, my points! My points, my points! What can I spend them on?! The points shop, open it! Hurry hurry hurry!"

[ ... ]

[ Welcome to the Points Shop! Over here, you can spend the points accumulated in the world you have earned in your transmigration journey-- ]

"I don't fucking care about your damn introduction, show me your waaaaares!"

Cecil was spinning around in the air, frantic.

She felt sick.

She felt frightened down to her core.

She finally released the scream that has been stuck in her throat for the longest time. Alas, the scream didn't do her any justice, and neither did it help her.

It only made the demise more imminent.

Cecil wanted to pull at her hair in frustration, her vision was already spinning and asking her to choose an option in this state?

It was as if the AI secretly wanted her death to arrive earlier.

"Just show everything, AI500! Are you kidding me with this right now?!"

Her hair slapped at her face again, and Cecil squeezed her eyes shut, flailing her limbs about helplessly in the air.

Whenever she tried to adjust her position, the wind just strikes her back without hesitation.

[ Alright, I will show all the current wares you have unlocked this far~ ]

"...excuse me? I still need to unlock--oh my god, I swear--"

[ Here are the available wares. With your current points, you can only purchase three of them. ]

A barrage of holographic squares assaulted her vision, and Cecil tried her best to focus on the available wares, looking at their icon, which was a realistic representation of the item, and she read their descriptions in a hurry.

[ Confetti
Description: Throw it into the air to announce your joy!
Price: 100 points
Category: Misc. ]

[ Toy Robot
Description: Boys adore this robot! But most girls don't adore this robot though!
Price: 4500 points
Category: Misc. ]

Cecil wanted to cry, literally.

She could even feel the sob threatening to escape her lips.

[ Angel Wings
Description: A pair of authentic angelic wings, but they only last for two seconds. And no, you can't fly with them.
Price: 6000 points
Category: Vanity ]

"...you really can't...fly with them?"

[ No. ]

"Not even a little?"

[ Not even a little. ]

"......"

Cecil spun around in the air, her face a deadpan. She sincerely wished to strangle the creator of the Transmigration World System, right at this very moment.

[ Oh, that's right. It is a requirement from our end to play a relaxing BGM for our users while they are browsing the shop.
Please wait while we configure the music. ]

"Are you fu--"

[ We found a suitable soundtrack from your world. Playing "Ponder and Relax" by Nagasawa Azumi. ]

A mixture of an upbeat guitar tune, soft drumbeats and smooth piano flooded Cecil's ears.

"......AI500, I am still falling through the air, clearly on my way to dying--"

[ Have a great time perusing the wares! ]

"Are you for--oh my god, turn it off! And get the damn shop out of my face! You are seriously ruining such a great BGM, why would you even--!"

[ Very well, Cecil Lan~ ]

The AI did as Cecil commanded, and the frustrating AI finally disappeared.

Cecil cried out in frustration, there was nothing she could do.

She knew that she couldn't conjure up any earth element to save her now, and neither could she see any plants or trees nearby to connect her vines to.

What did I do to deserve being tossed out the window?

Cecil released a sob, glancing about which she clearly wasn't able to do either.

I am going to die.

The truth finally hit her, and fear ripped through her.

She could only accept her fate.

Fine.

I guess I'll just fucking die.

The moment Cecil was thrown out the window, Xue rushed to the same spot, preparing to vault over the window ledge, his face revealing a hint of fear. To his surprise, Zasiok stepped in and shoved him aside, jumping out the window.

There wasn't even an ounce of hesitation as he did so.

Xue frowned unhappily, and followed after Zasiok in a heartbeat.

Hana dashed to the window, gasping as she looked down. The two of them were descending at a rapid pace, their figures becoming smaller in the blink of an eye.

Hana could only watch on in trepidation.

The queen was horrified at what just occurred.

"Wh-why did you do that?!" Kian hissed at his bodyguard.

"My apologies, Your Highness," his bodyguard bowed. "I was afraid that the queen would start to suspect you, since it was too obvious."

Kian sighed, shaking his head. "It can't be any worse than what's happening now!"

His bodyguard remained bowed, keeping quiet.

The queen quickly scrambled everyone together, she knew that there was only one safe place they could land.

"Your Majesty, the king is back and he brings another piece of important news!" A guard burst into the room.

"Another one so soon? Just when his informant warned us about Zasiok just now?" The queen furrowed her eyebrows.

"His Majesty stated that he couldn't afford to delay this matter any longer, and that you should know of this matter at once!"

Hana withdrew back from the window, her mind growing uneasy as she registered those words.

"No matter, let's put aside those matters first and head down to the royal spring pool!"

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

Everyone hastily moved upon the queen's orders, and Hana followed hurriedly behind them.

Cecil, Xue, Zasiok...please be safe, I know you will.

You have to be.

Hana cast one last glance behind her, at the opened window, her lips trembling.

The harsh wind made the two men squint their eyes, but they were solely focused on a figure in front of them, her robe and hair thrashing about in the air. She was being tossed about helplessly, and Zasiok gritted his teeth, adjusting his position to descend faster. However, he wasn't confident if he would make it to Cecil in time.

Xue, on the other hand, currently had two voices in his head screaming at him to save Cecil.

Xue: "Shut up."

Kai: "You are slow!"

Alric: "Too sl-slow!"

Xue's eyebrows twitched, he could feel them fighting control for the body.

Xue: "If you want her to die, continue doing that."

They stopped in an instant.

Kai: "You...seriously..."

Alric: "Ho-how can you say those words without any tact--"

Xue: "..."

The two voices finally kept quiet, and Xue furrowed his eyebrows in concentration.

Suddenly, Zasiok felt a wave of heat as something blasted past him. He directed his eyes quickly to the source, surprised at what he saw.

It was Xue, making himself accelerate by shooting a constant stream of fire out from his palms.

Zasiok raised his eyebrows.

That maneuver would take an enormous chunk of elemental energy, even if that person had an extensive pool of energy. Nevertheless, that did the job as Xue reached Cecil within a few seconds.

Zasiok glanced at his palm, gathering the heat in his palm and mimicking Xue.

Cecil felt a presence near her, opening her eyes and she noticed a familiar man with stormy grey eyes.

"...?!"

The-the lord protagonist! He...he came to save me?! By jumping out the window?!

Xue reached out his hand, and Cecil was shocked that he had really come to save her. She tried to grab his hand, alas, she was panicking badly and she couldn't stabilise herself in the air.

"You have to balance yourself." Xue reminded, his voice loud and assuring.

"I'm trying, but I-I can't!"

Anyone could tell how frightened Cecil was.

"Calm down."

"I'm really trying!"

Cecil realised she was nearing the ground, catching glimpses of a pavement and a building.

Her heart lurched into her throat.

I'm going to die.

I'm going to land on the ground, and splat on it like a paintball.

I'm going...to die...

Zasiok arrived at Cecil's side at that moment, reaching his hand out too. "Hey, Cecil! Here, take my hand!"

Xue was still pissed at Zasiok holding Cecil hostage. In fact, it was his fault that Cecil ended in this perilous situation.

Xue glanced at Zasiok, his grey eyes growing dark. "No, don't take his hand, take mine."

Cecil was already terrified out of her mind, and this awkward situation didn't help her at all.

"I'm closer to you, take mine!"

"Aren't you both the same?!" Cecil exclaimed in panic and confusion. "It doesn't which I choose, doesn't it?"

The two of them then glanced at one another, and they both suddenly spoke at the same time.

"Take our hand!"

They stretched out their hands to Cecil, their nervous expression mimicking one another...and somehow, Cecil felt herself slowing down in her mind, becoming calm.

"Cecil!"

"Hurry, take our hands!"

She inhaled shakily, finally managing to reach out, grabbing hold of their hands.

She was trembling violently.

The two men heaved a sigh of relief.

Zasiok quickly led the way, pointing forward. "The royal spring pool is just right in front!"

Both men moved at an equal pace, pushing themselves forward using a stream of fire with their free hand. Cecil gasped sharply, tightening her grip on their hands and they did the same.

She didn't know how close they were to the ground until now.

If she had just been a few seconds late in gripping their hands, she would have died without any exception.

She squinted her eyes, her hair tickling her face, and Cecil eventually spotted a pool of water, relief coursing throughout her entire body.

"This takes too much energy," Zasiok grunted. "I'm going to let go."

"It's close enough." Xue noted.

They stopped their fire, releasing Cecil who was already preparing to drop into the water, inhaling deeply.

The tranquil state of the water was disturbed by three large splashes, causing waves and ripples across the surface of the water.

Cecil swept her hair away from her eyes, before swimming up to the surface. Thankfully, the water level was deep enough to stop the momentum.

She breathed heavily, still trying to recover from her near death experience. Her entire body seemed to be beating along with her heart, and she could hear it clearly in her ears, her hand flying to her chest.

I can't believe it...

I almost died.

Her face was completely drained of colour.

It was just a few seconds away.

I could have died, if I was just a few seconds away from holding their hands.

Just...a few seconds.

The two lord protagonists...they saved my life.

Glancing around, she saw two shadowy figures beside her as bubbles floated to the surface. One surfaced first, and the other surfaced a second later, and before Cecil even had the chance to get a proper look, she could feel the ground around her vibrating.

It was like a thousands amount of footfalls were headed their way.

The once clear, empty spring pool was suddenly enshrouded by darkness.

Cecil snapped her head up, finding herself in between a horde of javelins, along with the other two protagonists.

You said you want to see me happy, but if you aren't here, what is the point of being happy?

You cannot die.

Without my permission, you cannot die.

I will never allow you to die.

Never.
