Countdown
*3rd POV
The six Saiyans now stood at the prescribed formation, with Goku standing at the 'apex' of the hexagon. Saui is at its base, holding out her two hands to be held by Goten and Trunks in that order; who in turn gave one of theirs to Vegeta and Gohan, who in their turn had their hands on Goku's back.
Then, simultaneously and still in said pose, they all transformed into Super Saiyans. After a while it seemed as if the brightness of Goku's aura increased, and he began to levitate. Time passed, and this time--by now the Super Saiyan transformations of all behind him seemed to have passed--Goku himself powered up intensely, resulting in an amber flash piercing the clouds and quite some ripple on the waves.
Beerus watched the whole process attentively, though letting his expression to betray nothing; while Bana gaped at will.
"This... might work after all..."
"...Oh?" Beerus turned, "a new face, eh?"
Bana simply nodded. "I don't want to give the impression of angering you yet again, and I'm not yet sure if you're fine with kids, so..."
"Well, truth is, I rarely had time for them; but by your aura you look fit to at least make a show of that lavender-haired brat over there."
The blond kid snickered. "Might be when I have the chance. Still trying to get into shape though. Been a while since I last trained."
"Really, and why?"
"Family's been nomadic for some time, planet to planet. Settled here just a while ago. In between, few training spells."
"Is that so... Well, better pack up again, 'cause I might do the same to this planet after this warm-up."
"Then again, close-up, you look handsome for a god."
"I've faced so many flatters, little one, and ones more rosy than that. Don't try to burden me with more."
Bana smiled and looked back at Goku--now completely transformed into his red-haired normal form.
"Little time for kids, all right. Why, it seems your newest opponent is at hand, God of Destruction, sir."
Beerus uttered a huff as he followed Bana's gaze--partly for the child's remark, partly for the slight surprise at the transformation.
"...Is that the Super Saiyan God, now?" he said aloud. "Doesn't look like much to me."
"Sorry for the wait, Lord Beerus," Goku replied in his usual tone and manner. "Ready when you are, now."
Beerus advanced three steps away from Bana.
"You better not get too cocky there--and the deal still holds. Win and I spare this planet; lose and I shall not. I sure expect to get a decent fight out of you."
"I understand."
By now everyone else behind Goku had moved back so as to give him more room--and partly to begin nursing their wounded.
"...Now," Goku grinned, "shall we?"
Both disappeared in a flash, and their duel began to unfold in places where others may not easily observe.

"Phew... that was a close one." Saui wiped her forehead with the back of her hand. "Hard not to feel anything when you're that close to the God of Destruction himself, ain't it, son?"
"Nah, felt nothing; just a purple grumpy fox--"
"Bana!!"
He shrugged. "Why would you still be so mad about it, Mom? It's how it was. You saw us greeting each other and did some small-talk, and that's it. Felt no killing intent or whatever from him; guess he's nice to whoever smart enough not to bad-mouth him the way Gotenks did. Heh-heh~ Poor things."
"Still, that remark--I would not use it that far."
"Well, perhaps you should learn from your brother at that."
"Nonsense. You saw what he went through--in flashes, perhaps, but still. Don't expect me to be the second."
Bana sighed with pleasure while spreading out his arms, then folded them behind his head. "In any case, Mom, that Beerus guy now has his match--he won't bother us for some time, so I guess it's about time you give your pep-talk?"
"Just this--"
Another slap echoed, but this time none was close enough to even notice. Bana, trembling and teary-eyed while holding his cheek, nevertheless stood his ground.
"Geez--what's that for?!"
"Taunting the God of Destruction; speaking ill against your mother; and training."
"Huh..?"
"Your uncle's kinda prideful, but he may be right when he said your current energy won't matter too much. About time to prove him wrong, right?"
Silence for some time, before a fearless smirk slowly formed on Bana's lips.
"To think I've been caught off guard so easily... Are you prepared, then, Mom?"
"When you are."
"Think you can handle this?"
Bana's usually neatly-combed blond hair now turned white and spiked at the ends; his green eyes now cyan; and his power level increased almost tenfold.
Saui smirked too and prepared her stance. "You know how Saiyans enjoy good fights. No Ki-blasts, though, if you will. Come at me then, and for real, having dared to get that far!"
"You asked for it! Haa~!!"
***
"What the-- This Ki... it is something new..?"
"No idea, but it surely is intense..."
Having helped his mom to see to the care of his dad, Trunks now aimed to resume his stroll round the ship along with Goten. Both were petrified at the new sight that met them.
"I-impossible! That Bana..!"
"You said he's gonna be more powerful than us combined, right, Trunks? This could well be it."
"I did... but just what is that new form? Why the white hair? And, of all places--why train here?"
"So... one at a time. Aren't you going to ask about his white hair first?"
"...Maybe later, Goten. Very improper to disturb Saiyans during training. For now let's just watch..."
"Haa~!!"
Bana was still pummeling his mother--or in this context, his sparring partner--with punches, while Saui tried blocking or avoiding them. At one point she even smirked.
"Standard openers..."
Next he tried kicks, then a mixture of both; still Saui's defense held with no apparent effects.
"Mom, I... suggest... you... transform... as well. Doubt... you could... keep up... with these."
"If I do... you'll be... at great... disadvantage. Then again," she huffed while blocking another jab to her forehead, "...I doubt... this is... your best shot."
"Heh... didn't plan... to go that far, anyway! Just--" Bana heaved an upward kick, and was dodged by a timely backward somersault, "Just... *pants* ...warming up."
At one point during the next bout she elbowed his punching arm, redirecting it to empty air. With her other arm she caught her son at the wrist as he staggered, preventing the fall.
"Thanks," he panted while holding his knees for support, and then stood at ease in his normal form. Saui too balanced her stance again.
"...Nice warm-up it was, honest; but might take a while 'til you could fight normally with that form, son. First time showing it off after so long, your body needs to get used to it again."
"*Pants* ...Yep. An impressive show all the same, huh?"
"It really was!"
Trunks was cheering. With him were Goten and Piccolo, whom the children brought into attention with such a display and was now scrutinizing the panting figure.
Here goes a new talent...
"I... have never seen anything like that from you, Cousin! That explains how you managed to keep up with that kind of gravity level... What was that form anyway?"
"Guess, Nephew." Saui smiled.
"Uhh... Super Saiyan?"
"Yep," came Bana's assent, "'cause my hair is blond, as you see, this is how I may transform. Mom said it could be unique in our race."
"Hee~ Could you turn into a giant ape too, then, like what my dad used to do?"
"Ah-ah, sorry. Got no tails anymore."
"Aunt Saui! When you think you could manage it, would you please consider training me and Goten too?!"
"...Oh? Now why would you both need me, when you've got a Namekian standing ready for just this purpose? He already knew of you more than I do."
"Then," Goten chimed, "how 'bout next time we hold a three-way spar, huh? Me, Trunks and Bana, see who's better."
"Now that's more like it..!"
"All of you there, out of the way!!"
Vegeta's yell echoed, making them turn.
"What the--"
"Just do it, Sis, and trust me! Off!"
"Wait--he's right!"
Something was indeed falling, and gaining speed and momentum towards the deck. Saui had barely yelled Bana, Trunks and Goten away in her turn, when that 'thing' came on with a loud thud.
"Wha-- Dad, how did you..?"
"Saiyan sense, I guess..."
As the smoke cleared, the rounds of gasps restarted.
Super Saiyan God Goku had fallen.
"O-oh my..."
"Crap... now there's nothing to hold him back with!"
"Who knows if he would still come..."
"Oh, why bother--there he is!"
"Everyone still with the strength and will to fight, form up round me!" Piccolo addressed--and his offer was very soon to get takers. Among those rounding up were Piccolo himself, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta (behind his son due to his own still-not-completely-recovered stamina), Bana's family in its entirety, and even Hercule.
Not so long after, Beerus came down to address unfinished business; triumphantly, it might be added.
"Now then, as I promised..."
That Ki ball again. No smiles this time--but just as Beerus seemed ready to deliver the killing blow, Hercule's phone rang. A lady's voice over the line inquired him about the press-conference scheduled for that very hour. As she finished, a helicopter with some local TV crews and cameramen hovered about and shot Hercule as he tried his best to look good before them and Beerus; to the others' looks of 'what-the-heck-does-this-punk-think-he's-doing'.
Still, that intermezzo was but a brief one, and it seemed Beerus would finally have his way after that--but again Goku struggled to intercede.
"Lord Beerus, please--I beg of you. I believe I put up a good fight, so wouldn't you at least make an exception of this planet that is so dear to me?"
"No," was the final reply, "I cannot."
That lethal single Ki blast was launched at long last--but to anyone opening their eyes after such occurrence, it would seem that the blast had failed to find its mark. Beerus had shot it into empty air--and he was then standing there with closed eyes as if sleeping.
Here Whis came in with the possible explanation: that his master must have tired himself out in the fight against Goku. By the time Beerus shall awake, Whis surmised, he'd have forgotten his threats to destroy the Earth--provided next time he'll be sure to have the puddings he so craved. Either way, the planet was again preserved.

I think that particular chapter was already long enough without any further questions XD please just mention what you think of the overall storyline, Bana's pop-training, and what further effects his family might have in future chapters. :D
Side note: this is, compared to the previous one with 1.8k words, officially my new longest chapter: 1.88k! ^^
