Traitorous, Reckless Actions
The sound of the tv awoke Raphael, who was dozing nearby. "Status report!"
"I'll give you the status, Captain! We're all gonna die!"
SLAP!
"Ahem....thank you, captain."
Raph groaned. "You still watching this eyesore?" He asks, sitting up groggily. The blue-clad turtle seated in front of the television turned to glare at his brother. "You take that back, Raph. Space heroes is the best show ever!"
Raph rolled his eyes. "Whatever fearless." Just then, the door to the lap opened and an exhausted Donatello stepped out. "That's it! I'm taking a break!" He shouted in frustration. The purple banded turtle made his way over and plops down by his red-masked brother.
"Dudes, Captain Ryan is totally gonna die in this episode." Mikey chirped from his position on his stomach near Leo. "Don't say that!" Leo squeaked, looking to the screen hopefully. "Captain Ryan is a great hero! It would take more than space zombies to kill him!"
Mikey's eyes widen as he grinned. "What about a Znichar! Could Captain Ryan take out a Znichar?" Raph scoffed. "Of course not! A Znichar is overpowered and nearly impenetrable. He wouldn't stand a chance."
Donnie's brow creased in thought. "However, a Znichar is very bulky and slow...." Again Raph laughed. "Are you kidding? Those things are crazy smart! What do you say Leo?"
Until now, no one had paid any attention to Leo once Znichars were mentioned. The ocean eyed leader stared at the tv, unmoving, emotionless expression on his face. "Huh? Oh, yeah....Of course, he could. He has crazy good technology."
Donnie was the first to realize. "Sorry, Leo. We didn't mean to bring that up and remind you of-"
"Are you kidding?" Raph interrupted. Its been weeks! We aren't going to see Grayson or anyone from Lycadia again. She doesn't know you exist, let her go!"
It was hard to tell if he was saying that to Leo or himself. Although he and Asterin didn't really bond that much, he definitely really liked her.
Mikey and Donnie wince at Raph's words. Leo turned and stood, his eyes burning with held-onto emotion. "You know what, Raph? What if I have let her go?! What if I am doing my very best to move on from her but the pain, and emotion is still there?!"
Storming off, Leonardo dragged his arm along his wet eyes.
"Did you really have to say that?" Donnie shouted at his older brother. Raph shrugs. "He needs to let go if he wants to feel better." Suddenly, the tv screen changed.
"We interrupt this program to bring you breaking news. The military has sent a legion of war crafts into space. It was apparently supposed to be a top-secret operation, but who could ignore the large aircrafts in the sky?" The news anchor reported.
The three brothers crowd around the tv intently. "Why they are there, and where they are going is unknown." The anchor announces. "But we will let you know when we get any updates."
The screen goes back to the show but the brothers are uninterested. "What does the militia want with space?" Donnie asks in general. "No idea," Raph says. "But whatever it is, It can't be good."
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Grayson sat in her windowsill, staring out into the dark night. A soft sigh escaped her lips and her fingers tighten around the neck of the glass bottle of strong drink. Her throat burned but her heart burned harsher.
She would never let anyone ever see her like this, but alone, she would do anything she wouldn't do in the presence of anyone else. Drace betrayed her. Axelia betrayed her. She had no one. She had only herself.
How that would end for her, Grayson didn't know. She was forced to live in the now and then. It was as if she wasn't universally allowed to have a planned future. A happy ending just wasn't possible for her. A born heir? Forget it.
Grayson lifted the bottle to her lips once more, shuddering as the liquid sets her throat on fire. A loud knocking shook her from her thoughts. Slipping down from the window, Grayson trudges to the door, placing the glass bottle on her bedside table on the way there.
On the other side of the door is a servant. "Y-your majesty." She stutters, her eyes flickering a bright yellow. "Your presence is requested in the throne room." She informs, her hands trembling.
The Alpha, with her face red, her hair a tousled mess, and in a casual atire, seemed very out of the norm for the young servant. "Thank you." Grayson nodded.
When Grayson reached the Throne room, wearing her usual royal blue cloak and sword by her side, she felt anything but ready for what awaited her. "What is it this time?" She asked as she sat on the throne, looking down at the young woman and man who are excourted by two soldiers.
The girl was sweating profusely. The man had his head raised high and proud. "I don't have all day," Grayson said. "Out with it. What did you do?"
The two looked at each other. The soldiers themselves seemed to be on edge. "Your majesty, a soldier starts. "These two were caught in the intergalactic communication station." Grayson isn't at all in the mood. "And who were these two contacting?" She asks.
She could smell the scent of fear and nervousness on the two soldiers. "Earth, your majesty... They were contacting earth." This got Grayson's attention. "Earth?" She stood, making her way to the two individuals.
"Why were you contacting earth?" She demands, her hand on her sword hilt out of habit. The woman looked at her. "I regret it...."
"I didn't ask for your apologies!" Grayson shouted. "I asked you why you were contacting the planet that invaded us, killed many of us including my father!?"
The young man lifted his head. "We told them we were ambassadors and sent them a message saying in three days time we would send fleets to destroy them."
The room was silent. "Why would you do that?" She cried, hands clenching into fists. "It was a prank!" The teen girl shouted, tears falling from her grey eyes. "It's an old station and we never thought it would work!"
"You've doomed us all," Grayson mutters.
That is when the castle shook with great tremor.
Here is the second chapter! Hope you all enjoyed it!!!! :)
