Chapter 7: Drama Unfolds

The next few days were a whirlwind of drama and tension. Axel and Stacy had to navigate the complexities of their relationships with Kaitlyn and the rest of the school.

On Wednesday, Kaitlyn confronted Axel in the hallway, demanding to know why he was spending so much time with Stacy. Axel tried to calm her down, but Kaitlyn was having none of it.

"You're just using me to get to Stacy, aren't you?" Kaitlyn spat, her eyes blazing with anger.

Axel sighed, feeling frustrated. "Kaitlyn, that's not true. We were never even together."

Kaitlyn's face turned red with rage. "Don't lie to me, Axel! We've been together for years!"

Axel shook his head. "Kaitlyn, we've never been in a real relationship. Our parents just wanted us to be together."

Kaitlyn's eyes narrowed. "You're just trying to break up with me, aren't you?"

Axel nodded. "Kaitlyn, I think it's time we went our separate ways. We're not meant to be together."

Kaitlyn's face contorted in anger. "Fine! Break up with me, then! See if I care!"

As Kaitlyn stormed off, Axel felt a sense of relief wash over him. He was finally free from Kaitlyn's toxic behavior.

Meanwhile, Stacy was dealing with her own drama. Madeleine, her best friend, was being weird around her, and Stacy couldn't figure out why.

"Hey, Madeleine, what's going on?" Stacy asked, as they sat together at lunch.

Madeleine shrugged, looking evasive. "Nothing, Stacy. Just stressed out, that's all."

Stacy raised an eyebrow. "Stressed out? About what?"

But Madeleine just shook her head. "Never mind, Stacy. Let's just drop it."

Stacy felt a pang of concern. What was going on with Madeleine?

As the days went by, the drama only intensified. Kaitlyn started spreading rumors about Axel and Stacy, trying to drive a wedge between them.

But Axel and Stacy were determined to stay strong. They continued to hang out, despite the drama and tension.

Finally, the weekend arrived, and Stacy was relieved. She was looking forward to a sleepover with Madeleine, where they could just relax and be themselves.

As they settled in for the night, Madeleine turned to Stacy with a mischievous grin. "So, Stacy, what's going on with you and Axel?"

Stacy blushed, feeling a little self-conscious. "Nothing, Madeleine. We're just friends."

Madeleine raised an eyebrow. "Friends? Really?"

Stacy nodded, trying to sound convincing. "Yeah, really."

But Madeleine just laughed. "Stacy, I know you too well. You're totally crushing on him."

Stacy felt her face heat up. "Madeleine, shut up!"

But Madeleine just teased her, playfully pushing her buttons.

As they giggled and joked, Stacy felt grateful for her friendship with Madeleine. They had been through thick and thin together, and Stacy knew she could always count on Madeleine to be there for her.

As the sleepover continued, Stacy and Madeleine chatted about everything from school gossip to their favorite TV shows. But despite the fun they were having, Stacy couldn't shake off the feeling that Kaitlyn was still plotting something.

"Madeleine, do you think Kaitlyn is going to calm down now that Axel's broken up with her?" Stacy asked, frowning.

Madeleine shrugged. "I don't know, Stacy. Kaitlyn's always been a bit of a wild card. But I do know one thing - she's not going to give up easily."

Stacy nodded, feeling a sense of unease. She knew that Kaitlyn was capable of just about anything, and she didn't want to be on the receiving end of her wrath.

Just then, Stacy's phone buzzed. It was a text from Axel.

"Hey Stacy, what's up?" the text read.

Stacy smiled, feeling a flutter in her chest. "Not much, Axel. Just hanging out with Madeleine."

There was a pause, and then Axel texted back. "Cool. I was thinking of coming over to your place tomorrow. Want to study for our math test together?"

Stacy's heart skipped a beat. Was Axel really asking her out on a study date?

"Sure, Axel. That sounds like fun," Stacy texted back, trying to sound casual.

As she put down her phone, Madeleine raised an eyebrow. "Stacy, what's going on? You're blushing!"

Stacy grinned, feeling a little self-conscious. "Axel's coming over to my place tomorrow to study for
