Hey everyone now originally I was working on the next chapter of Destiny Quest since I mentioned only focusing on two stories while back in college, with one of them being Destiny Quest and the other being The Path of a Pokemon Master-Kanto arc.  However, I started getting ideas for the next chapter of Second a I figured why not update it.

Anyway, let's get onto the chapter!

Sakura was sleeping peacefully in the Meowth-shaped hot air balloon as the Team Rocket trio was heading to Petalburgh City, tailing the twerp and his Pikachu.

"How close are we?" Jessie asked, stroking Skaura's back gently so as not to wake her up.

"I believe we're at least another hour away," James replied.

"So Jess, you never told us how you met cutey here,"  Meowth said, looking over at Skaura curled up in a ball next to Jessie's leg.

"Skitty," Sakura cried out, climbing into Jessie's lab.

"Ah, Sakura, you are awake," Jessie said gently stroking Sakura's head.

"Ski, tty," Sakura cried out nuzzling happily against Jessie's gloved hand.

"She definitely loves the stroking" James chuckled."But seriously how did the two of you meet?" He asked.

Jessie sighed."It is a story for another focus on finding the twerp and his Pikachu," She stated.

"Jess you have been strange since Little Root," James commented.

"Ya, I'm guessing it has something to do with cutey here," Meowth said as he watched Sakura nuzzle against Jessie's face. 

"What did she say?" James asked in a whisper to Meowth.

"Something about here to listen like old days," Meowth replied.

"Yeah, something definitely happened back in Hoenn when she was last here," James stated glancing back at Jessie one more time before focusing back on looking for the twerp and his Pikachu.

Jessie, James,  and finally found Ash along with Pikachu and the new twerpette named May at the Petalburg.  They kneeled looking through the window as Pikachu battled against a Vigoroth.

"Maybe we don't want Pikachu after all," James commented

"Not if we grab that Vigorth instead," Jessie said as Sakura lay against her leg."Its natural nastiness would be a perfect fit for Team Rocket!"

"Yeah, but if we gave it to the Boss, that would be even better;" Meowth exclaimed holding up a paw.

"And if we have him both then that would be even better than that!" Jessie said as the trio cheered happily.

"Yeah!" Meowth and James cheered happily.

"Skitty?" Sakura questioned.

"Yeah, cutey we of course have a plan ready," Meowth said smiling at Sakura.

"Right let's get to work," Jessie said standing up with James and Meowth as Sakura climbed onto her shoulder.

Meanwhile inside the Petalburg gym...

"Pikachu, Thunderbolt Attack now!" Ash commanded.

"Pika, chu! "Pikachu cried out as he released a powerful thunderbolt.

"Vigoroth, dodge!" Norman ordered.

"Vigoroth!" Vigoroth said as it quickly dodged the incoming Thunderbolt.

"That was fast," Ash said.

Vigoroth continues to avoid each attempt of Pikachu using Thunderbolt.

"Now use Quick Attack!" Ash commanded.

Pikachu ran forward and slammed into Vigoroth's belly.

"Vigoroth!"

"Good job,  Pikachu!"

"I didn't think they had a chance against your dad's Vigoroth," Caroline said with a smile on her face.

"Yeah,  Ash is good,  huh?"May commented.

"Of course he good, " Max said."He did make it to the championship of the Sliver Conference," He stated.

"Yeah," May said.

"Alright,  Vigoroth, Scratch Attack!" Norman commended.

"Vigoroth!" Vigoroth cried out as it landed a powerful attack with its claws on Pikachu sending him flying back.

"Time to finish this one off!" Norman ordered as Vigoroth charged forward and slammed its head into Pikachu.

"Pikachu!" Ash shouted as Pikachu slammed roughly into the wall creating a hole before crashing onto the ground.

May, Max, and Caroline gasped at the sight of Pikachu being knocked down. Ash quickly rushed over to Pikachu's side in concern and picked him up.

"Pikachu!  Are you alright?" Ash asked worriedly.

"Pika," Pikachu said with a reassuring nod signaling that he was perfectly fine.

"Well,  I guess that's that," Norman said with a smile.

"That Vigoroth of yours is powerful, Norman!" Ash said impressed."There sure are some strong Pokemon in the Hoenn Region, right Pikachu? " He said smiling at Pikachu.

"Pika," Pikachu said in agreement with Ash.

There was a loud explosion as the room filled with smoke leaving everyone confused about what was going on.

"What was that?" May asked.

They then saw the backs of Jessie and James standing on a large rock outside of a huge hole in the wall.

"Prepare for trouble from a hole in the wall!" Jessie said.

"Make it double, you're in for a brawl," James said.

"To protect the world from devastation!"

"To unite all people within our nation!"

"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"

"To extend our reach to the stars above!"

"Jessie!"

"James!"

"Team Rocket makes a mad dash at the speed of light!"

"Surrender to these great effects or prepare to fight!"

"Meowth that's right!"

"Wobbuffet! "

"Skitty!" Sakura happily cried out jumping onto Jessie's shoulder.

"Ah, Team Rocket!" May shouted pointing at Team Rocket.

"Oh,  how sweet, " Caroline said smiling."It's always nice to meet your friends, " She said.

May looked at her mother confused at hearing those words.

"Thank you so much for being there for May."

"No, Mother those are bad guys!"

"That's okay we're not your run-in-the-mill criminals," Jessie said smiling and waving as Sakura continued to happily relax on Jessie's shoulder.

"We do bad things with panache and style," James said doing a strange dance.

"We'll rob you,  but we'll do it with a smile!" Meowth commented.

"You sure don't look so stylish," Max commented messing with his glasses.

"We're here for your Pokemon!" Jessie said."Sakura you are  up!" She shouted.

"Skitty!" Sakura cried out jumping down from Jessie's shoulder and narrowing her eyes in concentration.

"Go Weezing!" James called out sending out his Weezing to battle.

"Weezing!"

"Use Smokescreen!"

Weezing opening both mouths as he released a wave of smoke covering Ash and the other in a cloud of smoke making them cough.

"Hold your breath, everyone," Norman said.

"Now Skaura,  give them your Double Slap!" Jessie commanded.

"Skitty!" Sakura cried out rushing forward and immediately slapped Pikachu multiple times.

"No Pikachu!"

"Vigoroth, let go!"

Vigoroth attempted to hit Weezing only for it to miss as Weezing moved out of the way.

May looked worried before Max looked at her. "Come on, you should get in there with your Pokeon too, May!" Max said.

"Huh?" May questioned.

"Can't you help them out with your Pokemon?" Max asked.

"Uh, right.  Now Torchic!" May said sending out her Torchic.

"Torchic!" Torchic cried out full of determination.

"Now what do I do?" May questioned.

"Now would be a good time to have it an attack," Max stated.

"Okay,  don't rush me," May said."Let's see now attack?" She questioned.

"Skit!" Sakura cried out as she landed a powerful tackle on Torchic sending it flying into the air.

"Ah,  my little Torchic," May said worriedly.

"And now we will be taking Pikachu and Vigoroth with us," Jessie said.

"That's what you think, " Ash said."Pikachu Thunderbolt them!"

"Pika! Chu!" Pikachu cried out as he released a powerful thunderbolt but ended up hitting Max.

"Oh no Max," Ash said concerned.

"Well ot one thing learning about Pikachu's Thunderbolt on TV,  but a whole other thing to feel it in the flesh," Max groaned."Wow!  Gotta sa it's impressive."

"Hey, Team Rocket's gone," May said noticing that Team Rocket was nowhere to be seen.

"Well, my Vigoroth is still here, safe and sound," Norman said.

"Yeah, and so is my Pikachu," Ash said.

May looked around worried.

"Hey, May what's wrong with you?" Ash asked.

"My Torchic's gone!" May exclaimed.

"What?" Ash, Max, Caroline, and Norman all said as they rushed over towards the hall to see Team Rocket in the Meowth balloon with Jessie holding a brown sack over her shoulder.

"Just like we said, Service with a smile!" Jessie said."Have a nice day," She said as the balloon took off.

Sakura glanced from her position in the ballon and looked surprised seeing Pikachu on Ash's shoulder and Vigoroth near Norman and back at the bag over Jessie's shoulder and immediately knew it was a different Pokemon.

The balloon had now landed somewhere in the forest as Jessie,  James, and Meowth were standing outside the balloon with the bag on the ground.

"One out of two's not bad," Jessie said with her hands on her hips."So Vigoroth was an elusive catch,  but at least we finally got Pikachu.

Sakura leaned against the basket shaking her head sadly, "Skitty, " She said.

"What is it Sakura?" Jessie asked.

"Huh,  what do you mean this isn't Pikachu?" Meowth asked confused.

"Are you sure Sakura?" Jessie asked."If you are positive we take a careful look before delivering it to the boss," She said putting in blue gloves and reaching for the bag and opening it.

Jessie then noticed she pulled out a Torchic instead of Pikachu and realized Sakura was correct about it not being Pikachu.

"That is not Pikachu," Meowth.commented."The cutey was right."

"It's a Torchic," James said leaning close to Torchic who fired an ember attack at his face making him scream.

"This is all wrong," Jessie said."You're so teensy, and mostly definitely not Team Rocket material."

"We'd be laughed right out of the Boss's office," James said.

"But if we can use this Torchic to go back and nav Pikachu,  then everything will be fine," Meowth said.

"Skitty?"

"Yeah i'm sure this plan is perfect cutey," Meowth replied.

Sakura narrowed her eyes and shrugged as James, Jessie, and Meowth cheered leaving them to decide on a new plan to get Pikachu.

Once the plan was decided, Jessie, James, and Meowth put Torchic in a cage before leaving the cage in front of the balloon.  Sakura lay curled up in a ball as the trio was setting up the traps for the twerps.

"Alright it's all set," Jessie said as James and Meowth hid behind the trees to wait for the twerps to show up.

Sakura nodded and got ready to battle if needed as she waited along with them for the twerps. Soon May and Max arrived and ran into the opening towards Torchic only to fall into a hole.

"I'm coming!"

"Me too!"

Norman and Caroline shouted rushing to save May and Max only to fall into a hole as well.

"Looks like you fell for it," Jessie chanted happily with Sakura in her arms as she stood in front of the balloon with James and Meowth after coming out of hiding.

"Thanks for dropping in," James said.

The trio then started laughing happily.

"You guys are through!" Ash shouted."Go Bayleef! Use... Oh,  I forgot I don't have Bayleef!"

Ash then walked over and leaned near the hole where Max and Max were. "Hey, are you guys okay?" He asked.

"Not for long! Arbok you are  up!" Jessie commanded.

"Skitty?"

"Next time," Jessie simply said.

"Get Arbok,  now don't bother with the small feline," Ash said."I am really hot to see what Pokemon that is."

"Pikachu!" Pikachu cried out rushing towards Arbok and slamming into its chest.

"Hey, Norman, are you two okay?" Ash asked after helping. May and Max out of the hole.

"Yes," Norman said as he and Caroline climbed out of the hole.

"How dare you steal someone else's Pokemon much less stealing my little girl's first Pokemon!" Norman shouted.

"Looks like a big bad mad dad," Jessie commented.

"I ain't scared," Meowth said.

"Oh yeah, " Norman said holding up a Pokeball."Vigoroth go!" He said sending out Vigoroth.

"Vigoroth!" It cried out using a powerful Scratch attack on Arbok.

"You want to play rough?" James asked."Now Weezjng,  go!"

"Weezing," Weezing cried out ready to battle.

"Okay Vigoroth,  use Scratch attack!"

"Roth!" Vigoroth cried out going for Weezing as Max snuck off to save Torchic.

"Ah, Vigoroyh, no!" Norman said as Arbok wrapped its tail around Vigoroth.

"Pikachu!  Vigoroth needs help.  Let's go!"

"Pika!" Pikachu cried out slamming into Arbok's back.

"How dare you three do that to my sweet little Torchic!" May said."Torchic go!"

"Tor," Tirchuc cried with a focused expression.

"Torchic... Amber!"

"Uh.."_Max said with a sweatdrop. "You mean Ember."

"Uh, oh, yeah,  that's right! Torchic, Ember!"

Torchic used an ember bit and ended up hitting Max.

"It's one thing to see Ember on TV, but another thing to feel it. Uh, I'm impressed again."

"Let's see, what else?"

"There's Peck."

"Hey, that's right, Torchic, use Peck!"

Torchic however ended up pecking at Max who commeted."It picked the wrong person to peck."

Arbok then hits Pikachu with a powerful Headbutt,  but Norman commands Vigoroth to finish it up as ot slams its head into Weezing and Arbok sending them flying into Jessie, James, and Meowth and they land into the balloon.

"Now,  Pikachu, Thunderbolt em,  let's go!"

Pikachu lets out a powerful Thunderbolt at Team Rocket and sends them blasting off.

"Why couldn't we grab that Vigoroth instead of a tiny Torchic?" Jessie asked.

"From now on, I'll just be happy with whatever we get," James said.

"Well be happy if we just get a life!" Meowth said.

"Team Rocket blasting off again!"

"Skitty!"

"You know cutey, be happy it was Arbok who got the beating, not you," Meowth said.

"I'm sorry I felt Arbok was a better choice, but you did a good job in the gym next time you get to finish up without switching to Arbok," Jessie promised holding Skaura close as they landed on the ground.

I hope you all enjoy the new chapter of My Reborn as a Pokemon fanfiction. Ash and May arrive at Petalburgh and have another run in with Team Rocket.  Sakura got to battle for the first for a brief moment. However, next time Sakura will get a greater chance to shine. Let me know what you think of the story in the comments. I decided on my plans for the Reboron as Nidoran which will become a Nidoqueen and a possible idea for and trainer,  but also I have a poll for the next pokemon to be reborn as after the Nidoran one.  If you haven't voted yet feel free to do so the link will be shared on my board if the QR code in the Author book doesn't work for everyone.
