"whats up?" he smiles, patting Reflects head.

"these two slag headed idiots, tried to find out who Reflect likes more and you were the winner scout." Ratchet smirks. Bumblebee grins.

"aww well thanks Reflect." Bumblebee grins, taking the sparkling carefully. "I always thought I was better than those two, but you've proved it, now I know I am." Bumblebee grins, shooting a smirk at the twins.

"I say we kill him on three." Sunstreaker mutters. Sideswipe nods.

"and I say, touch him while he has my sparkling and I'll kill you right now. no counting." Ratchet warns.

"my Bee! no touch!" Reflect growls, hugging the scouts neck happily. Bumblebee smiles, hugging the sparkling.

"its alright Reflect." he assures gently. "I can beat the twins just for you." Bumblebee assures. Reflect cuddles him happily.

"Bee get Reflect cube?" Reflect ask.

"sure! lets get you a cube." Bumblebee smiles. Sideswipe turns to Ratchet.

"what happened earlier. they hauled a bunch of human soldiers out of here and when I ask Ironhide, he said something happened with the sparkling." he frowns.

"they attacked the sparkling and were arrested by the humans. they considered it child abuse under human laws." Ratchet mutters.

"what? and you didn't kill them?" Sunstreaker glares.

"I broke several bones, but if any one asks it was definately an accident. humans are fragile." Ratchet mutters, walking away from them.

Bumblebee sits happily with the sparkling, giving him a cube. Reflect sucks it down, snuggling up to him happily.

"hey are we still have the poker game tonight?" Sunstreaker ask.

"with highgrade, you promised hatchet." Sideswipe grins.

"don't call me that." Ratchet glares. "yes I have the high grade made up, but Jack and I made a special batch to put on the table. winner takes all." he smirks, walking off. Reflect pushes his cube away at a loud sound.

"what that?" Reflect ask, looking around.

"oh, the jets are back." Bumblebee shrugs.

"jet?" Reflect asks, getting up. Bumblebee puts him on the ground carefully, watching him run off. the scout sighs, before getting up and running after him.

"hey Reflect! come on now, you can't be out here." Bumblebee says, scooping the sparkling.

"jet!" Reflect huffs, squirming.

"I know, but you need Ratchet to bring you out here okay?" Bumblebee ask. the sparkling blows a raspberry at him. "come on back inside." Bumblebee murmurs.

"see jets, then go inside!" Reflect argues. "want to see!" he pouts. Bumblebee sighs a little, before smiling.

"come on, why don't you go with to pick Sam up from school?" Bumblebee smiles.

"that boring." Reflect huffs.

"you can bring your toys." the scout offers. Reflect thinks a moment, before nodding.

"okay." he agrees. Bumblebee sighs in relief.

"can Reflect come with me to get Sam?"

"sure. wear him out. I want him to sleep tonight while we're playing cards."

"awesome! thanks Ratchet!"

Bumblebee smiles at the sparkling.

"Ratchet said it was alright!" Bumblebee smiles. he grabs the sparklings toys from inside and transforms around Reflect and his toys. Reflect casts his holoform up front, his toys all in the seat with him. "c'mon, lets go." he smiles. Reflect nods happily, bounding in his seat. "sit." Bumblebee frowns. Reflect plops down, giggling happily.

for once the sparkling is laughing and giggling the entire ride, until they pull up to the school. Bumblebee's holoform immediately stiffens.

"stay here little one, I have to help Sam." his holoform says, scambling out of the cab. Reflect screams, beating on the window. that stupid Trent kid was beating the hell out of Sam. Bumblebee runs over immediately, shouting at Trent. he's so distracted he doesn't notice Reflect getting out and running over. by the time he does its too late.

"Ratchet! Ratchet I need you to come get Reflect right now!""

"Bumblebee? what happened? is Reflect alright? whats going on kid?"

"Reflect just bit a humans arm! I think he broke the guys arm!"

"huh? what happened? Bumblebee slow down and explain! why did my sparkling bite someone?"

"that Trent kid was beating the hell out of Sam and when I went to make sure Sam was okay, Reflects holoform jumped out of my alt and ran over. he bit Trent so hard that I heard bones crunch Ratchet, I need to get Sam to a hospital please come get your sparkling. he's covered in blood and so are Trent and Sam and there's a chunk missing from this kids arm Ratchet please I'm begging you."

"relax scout, I'm coming to get him. contact Barricade see if he'll come get Reflect from you at the hospital. I'll meet him to get the sparkling. don't panic Bumblebee. I'm on the way."

Bumblebees already speeding off towards the hospital, Sams bleeding pretty badly and Reflects sitting silently in the backseat.

"Barricade, no time for questions. meet me at the hospital to get Reflect, my charge is injured I need you to get the sparkling to Ratchet."

"sparkling injured?"

"no he's fine but he's covered in blood and pretty traumatized. he's never seen a human bleed. I'll explain more late please just come meet me."

"on it. stop panicking you stupid Autobot. I'll be there shortly."

Bumblebee parks and turns to look at Reflect.

"stay here. Barricade is coming to get you." Bumblebee says firmly. he gets out and helps Sam out. the boy is too dizzy to walk, so Bumblebee is quick to scoop him up and carry him in to the building. Bumblebee locks his doors, he don't want to risk the sparkling getting out.

Reflects silent though. he's odd. silent and still. even when Barricade eventually pulls up beside them. the parkling lot is pretty empty so its easy to swap the sparkling over to the police cruiser without being noticed.

"come on little one, your creator is coming to get you. we're going to go meet him." Barricade mutters. he looks at the camaro. "you didn't clean his holoform up or anything?" Barricade frowns.

"didn't have a chance, Sam was basically bleeding out." Bumblebee says. "he wasn't injured so I focused on Sam. forgive me if the one who was injured was a priority over the sparkling." Bumblebee snaps. Barricade frowns but his holoform gets in and he speeds off with Reflect.

"hey Reflect, are you okay?" Barricade ask. the sparkling curls up some. "its alright little one. I will get you back to the medic." Barricade assures. Reflect looks over at his holoform.

"Sam...?" Reflect asks.

"the medic will get you an update in a bit, alright? for now, let the scout handle him." Barricade assures. Reflect leans against the door quietly. Barricade frowns a little. "I'm sure the human is fine Reflect. do not worry about him right now." Barricade murmurs

"okay." he mumbles.

the sparkling goes silent again as they park and wait for Ratchet. the medic doesn't even take five minutes to get to them. he transforms the moment he sees them, not even coming to a stop first. Barricade immeidately does the same, holding Reflect gently.

"the sparkling is okay." Barricade assures.

"thanks." Ratchet mutters, taking Reflect from him. the sparklings shut off his holoform by now. "hey you okay?" Ratchet murmurs. Reflect doesn't answer, just hugs him tightly, refusing to let go.

"he's been a little odd. Frenzy couldn't even get anything out of him." Barricade frowns.

"well, he did attack a man." Ratchet ask. Barricade looks confused.

"he what?" he ask.

"Bumblebee didn't tell you what was going on?" Ratchet ask. Barricade shakes his head. "another kid attacked Sam, Bumblebee went to help him. Reflect doesn't like it when anyone hurts Sam. he bit the kid, hard enough Bumblebee thinks he broke the kids arm. he's probably worried about Sam. probably didn't even know humans could bleed or get hurt like that. he bites bots all the time when they make him angry, or he doesn't get his way. we've been working on it, but it hasn't helped yet." Ratchet frowns. Barricade frowns.

"bet he won't bite anyone again." Barricade mutters. Ratchet frowns at him, annoyed.

"that was not the point." Ratchet mutters. "thank you for bringing him to me, I better get him back to the base." Ratchet frowns. Barricade nods, patting Reflects head.

"be good." he murmurs. Reflect curls up with Ratchet, making the medic frown. he nods once at Barricade before transforming and speeding off. Barricade watches for a moment, before he transforms and speeds off.

"alright little one, tell me whats wrong." Ratchet says.

"Sam okay?" Reflect ask.

"he's just a little beat up, he'll be alright." Ratchet assures.

"Bumblebee angry." Reflect mumbles.

"yes, but not with you." he assures.

"Reflect hurt." Reflect says.

"yes, you did. you did hurt someone and it wasn't right, but no one is angry at you. you were trying to protect Sam." Ratchet murmurs. "its going to be okay." Ratchet assures gently.

"Reflect break rule." Reflect murmurs quietly.

"yeah? what rule kid?" Ratchet ask.

"Opmis say no hurt. Ironhide say they squish. like Will. Reflect hurt... and Ironhide right. squish, squish." Reflect frowns, looking a little disgusted. Ratchet laughs a little.

"yeah humans squish." he snorts a little. his holoform smiles at the sparkling. "and I know Optimus says don't harm humans, but sometimes, we forget. sometimes the ones we love get hurt and we forget. no one is upset with you sparkling. now, I won't say you did the right thing because you didn't, but you were upset. we understand. you're just a sparkling. we don't expect you to make grown up choices and we're not angry with you." Ratchet assures. "sometimes you have to make choices Reflect and choices are hard, sometimes people get hurt, but its okay. hard choices are part of life." Ratchet murmurs softly. Reflect cuddles to him.

"why humans squish squish?" Reflect ask. Ratchet snorts.

"well, they don't have a hard exoskeleton like we do. they don't have any protection like us. they're soft, fleshy.... like balloons. remember when Sam brought you a balloon and it popped? well, humans are kinda like that." Ratchet says. "I mean, we can squish too, but not quiet as easily as humans." Ratchet adds. Reflect nods a little. "and don't tell humans that they squish squish." Ratchet snorts.

"why?" Reflect ask. "humans squish squish. like balloons, like Will. squish squish squish. why can't say? do not know thye squish?" Reflect frowns.

"yes they know they squish." Ratchet laughs. "you can't say that, because humans don't like it." Ratchet says. Reflect nods at him a little.

"humans squish squish but don't like squish squish." Reflect says, watching out the window.

"right." Ratchet snorts. Reflect looks around.

"oh no!" he whines.

"what? whats wrong Reflect?" Ratchet ask.

"where Ironhide!?" Reflect whines, looking around.

"your toy? did you take it with you?" Ratchet ask.

"took all with me!" Reflect whines.

"they're probably still with Bumblebee. you can get them when Bumblebee gets back." Ratchet assures transforming. "for now, how about I take you to Ironhide? would that make you feel better?" Ratchet ask. Reflect nods, cuddling up against his chestplate.

"Ironhide, your turn with the squirt. we're trying to wear him out so he sleeps during the game tonight. Bumblebee has all his toys and he's taken Sam to the emergency room, he got attacked by that Trent kid at school again."

"I'm busy."

"too busy for the sparkling?"

"stupid twins pranked Prowl, I'm busy hauling them to the brig, then I have to help Prowl clean up. not a mess for a sparkling. I don't want him in there putting this crap in his mouth and hurting himself. they sprayed something all over his office. its like a chemical string crap. that stuff Sam sprayed on Bumblebee a few years ago."

silly string. Will had also sprayed it all over Ironhide. it took some of their paint off, not that the two men had meant for that to happen, and would do worse to Reflect if the sparkling ate it. but the memory was definitely painful to the weapons specialist.

"alright I'll find someone else."

"okay squirt, Ironhides busy. who else would you like to go see?" Ratchet ask.

"want Ironhide." Reflect grumbles.

"I'm sorry Reflect he's busy. is there anyone else you'd be willing to compromise for?" Ratchet frowns.

"no." Reflect mumbles, huffing.

"how about Jazz?" Ratchet ask, pointing to the mech. Jazz waves and Reflect glares at him.

"no. want Ironhide." Reflect mumbles.

"Ironhide busy." Ratchet huffs. he shakes his head, groaning quietly to himself. "I mean Ironhide's busy." he grumbles. Reflect huffs. "look Reflect, please. Ironhide is busy." Ratchet murmurs. Reflect frowns a little before looking up at Ratchet.

"jet." Reflect says.

"jet? like the human jets that landed earlier?" Ratchet ask.

"yes. jet." Reflect says.

"if I take you to see the jets will you go play with Jazz for a bit?" Ratchet ask. Reflect nods at him.

"yes. after jet, Reflect go play Jazz." Reflect assures.

"good okay. come on." Ratchet murmurs. he takes the sparkling outside and sets him down by one of the human jets.

"what do?" he asks, curiously.

"helps the humans fly, like some of Barricades friends." Ratchet explains.

"humans no fly." Reflect frowns.

"right so they need vehicles to fly with, like jets and airplanes." Ratchet murmurs, watching his sparkling walk around the jet.

when Reflect comes back around, he has a new set of boosters on each wing.

"whats this?" Ratchet chuckles. Reflect looks at his little door wings, before activating his engines. he floats up a little before landing and grinning at Ratchet.

"Reflect ready to play Jazz now." he grins.

"he's going to have fun with this." Ratchet mutters. "alright kiddo. we're going inside. you're going to play with Jazz okay, show him your new engines and have fun alright?" Ratchet ask.

"okay!" he grins.

"no flying off base though, okay?" Ratchet ask.

"okay, no fly off base." Reflect agrees.

"and don't get too close to the humans with your new jets okay? you could seriously injure them." Ratchet adds.

"okay. no use with humans." Reflect nods. "go play Jazz now?" he ask.

"yes go have fun." Ratchet chuckles.

"Jazz!!! Jazz! come play Reflect!" Reflect shouts, running into the base.

Jazz looks over at the sparkling runs in.

"oh Primus what are those?" Jazz mutters to himself. he grins. "heya Reflect, what are those cool new things on your wings?" Jazz ask.

"jet boosters!" Reflect grins.

"engines kiddo. jet engines." Ratchet snorts, walking past.

"Ratchet, your sparkling has jet engines." Jazz frowns.

"yup." Ratchet says, grabbing himself a cube. he turns and smirks at Jazz. "have fun. he wants to play with Jazz." Ratchet snorts. Jazz stares at him, watching the medic leave.

"what in Primus name did I do to deserve this." Jazz mumbles. he smiles at Reflect. "okay cutie, no using those in the base okay? you could hurt someone." Jazz says.

"Jazz play outside with Reflect?" Reflect ask.

"I don't have any flying experience, how about you ask Optimus? he's got a jet pack." Jazz ask. Reflect pauses to think, before reaching for Jazz' servo.

"Jazz take Reflect to Opmis?" he ask.

"yeah. Jazz will take you to Optimus." Jazz assures gently. he takes the sparklings servo and leads him to the Primes office. Jazz knocks on the Primes office door and lets him and the sparkling in.

"Jazz? Reflect?" Optimus ask.

"Reflect has a question for you." Jazz says, looking down at the sparkling. Optimus looks down at him.

"sure, what do you need little one?" Optimus smiles. Reflect grins up at him, letting go of Jazz' servo to walk over to Optimus and hug his leg.

"Opmis teach Reflect fly!" Reflect squeals.

"huh? little one you, can't fly." Optimus says.

"Reflect jet boosties." Reflect grins, pointing at his new accessories.

"he downloaded them off the human jets. he wants you to teach him to fly like you do with your jetpack." Jazz says.

"Opmis teach Reflect?" Reflect ask, smiling up at the Prime. "please?" he pouts. Optimus shoots Jazz a dirty look.

"oh come on OP. he even said please." Jazz grins a little.

"and how does Ratchet feel about this?" Optimus ask.

"he let the kid get them. I'm sure he expects him to learn how to use them." Jazz grins.

"your sparkling wants me to teach him how to use his new engines."

"okay, and? don't hurt him, have fun."

Optimus sighs, shaking his head. he'd hoped Ratchet would have his back on this, but clearly the medic didn't care.

"fine. alright." Optimus mutters.

"yay!! Opmis teach Reflect!" Reflect squeals, bouncing excitedly. the Prime chuckles a little.

"can you play with Jazz for... an hour? an hour so I can get my paperwork done." Optimus says. Reflect seems to think it over, before walking back over to Jazz.

"yes. Reflect wait hour. then find Opmis." Reflect agrees, reaching for Jazz' servo. "Jazz play Reflect?" he asks,

"yeah sure, but no flying until Optimus teaches you, deal?" Jazz ask.

"deal!" Reflect grins. Jazz nods and takes his servo gently, taking him out of Optimus' office.

"okay what do you want to do?" Jazz smiles. "we can run around outside, we can drive, we can play. whatever you want." Jazz assures.

"Reflect draw." Reflect says pulling Jazz towards the rec room.

"draw? you don't want to play?" Jazz asks. Reflect shakes his head.

"nope. want draw." Reflect assures.

"well, where's your toys? we can play with those." Jazz says.

"Bumblebee has." Reflect frowns.

"Bumblebee has them?" Jazz ask. Reflect nods.

"do you know where Reflects favorite toys are? he says they're with Bumblebee, but he's not on base."

"Bumblebee took Reflect with him to pick Sam up from school. Sam got attacked, I picked up Reflect. the toys are with Bumblebee at the hospital in town. Reflects worried about Sam and he wants his toys, but he'll have to do without them, we're distracting him thats why you're supposed to distract him. play with him don't let him think about the toys. play with him Jazz, keep him happy. he's worried about Sam."

"alright."

"okay you want to draw lets go draw alright?" Jazz ask, leading him to the rec room. Reflect hesitant to go to the rec room, but follows him.

"Jazz stay whole time. no leave Reflect alone." Reflect whines.

"of course kiddo I'll stay the whole time." Jazz murmurs.

"why is he suddenly afraid of being left alone in the rec room?"

"couple of human soldiers attacked him. they've been thrown off base and in jail, but he's scared of humans again. just stay with him."

Jazz scoops the sparkling up gently.

"come on kiddo. lets go draw alright?" Jazz smiles.

"my sparkling!" Mudflap shouts, snatching the sparkling from Jazz and running. Reflect immediately squeals, giggling.

"hey! we were going to draw!" Jazz shouts, running after Mudflap.

"we're going for a race!" Mudflap grins. Reflect laughs and holds onto Sideswipe happily.

"make Reflect sick! Ratchet get angry!" Reflect warns.

"I won't make you sick." Mudflap promises. the sparkling giggles, holding onto him.

"what the hell are you doing? bring him back here!"

"Ratchets com wasn't set for private. he called for some playtime distraction."

Mudflap slides around the corner of the base as he runs out the doors.

"hey Skids! sparkling tag! you're it!" Mudflap shouts, shoving the sparkling into his arms and running off.

"what me!?" Skids frowns.

"better run! Jazz is trying to get him!" Mudflap laughs. Reflect squeals, bouncing excitedly.

"go! go! keep away Jazz! keep away Jazz!" Reflect squeals.

"Ratchet said distract him. you really wanna face the Hatchets rath?"

Skids grumbles, but starts running. Reflect immediately squeals and holds onto him.

"can't run forever Skids!" Jazz shouts.

"man I didn't want to run to begin with!" Skids shouts. he runs straight past Drift and shifts the sparkling at him. "keep away from Jazz!" Skids shouts.

"I do not play silly games." Drift frowns.

"Drift gooo! keep away Jazz!" Reflect shouts. Drift grumbles to himself, running back towards the base. he dodges Jazz' attempt to grab the sparkling and runs him inside.

"here! he is your sparkling he is your problem! keep away from Jazz!" Drift snaps, tossing the sparkling into Wheeljacks lap.

"huh?" Wheeljack asks. Reflect jumps up, bouncing on his lap.

"go! go! Jackie goo! keep away Jazz!" Reflect squeals excitedly. Wheeljack sighs a little.

"look sparkling, maybe in a bit, Jackies just not feeling it today okay?" Wheeljack murmurs. Reflect pouts.

"but keep away Jazz..." Reflect says.

"I know kid, but Ratchet just put my leg back together and I'm a little tired." Wheeljack murmurs. Reflect nods a little.

"okay. game over." Reflect mumbles.

"game ain't over yet squirt." Ironhide snorts, scooping the sparkling up gently. "come on squirt. keep away from Jazz." Ironhide smirks, running off. Reflect squeals.

"Ironhide!" he cheers, hugging his neck.

"I'm always here Reflect, whether its danger or a game, I'm always here." Ironhide assures gently. Reflect cuddles into him.

"oh come on Hide! you can't just jump in like that!" Jazz shouts.

"yes I can!" Ironhide smirks. Ironhide may not be as fast as Jazz, but he was better at thinking on the spot. he's as quick as he can be, dodging anyone and everyone he can.

he rounds a corner, nearly slamming into Optimus as he leaves his office.

"here Prime! we're playing keep away with the sparkling. don't let Jazz get him!" Ironhide snorts, handing the sparkling over quickly.

"wh- Ironhide! I have paperwork! I'm heading to Prowls office!" Optimus calls after him. Ironhide turns to grin at him.

"good! pass him off to Prowl! the only thing he ever gives Jazz is attitude!" Ironhide smirks.

"I heard that!" Jazz snaps, glaring at the black mech. Optimus sighs a little and heads down the hallway.

the Prime enters Prowls office, but Prowl looks annoyed.

"Prowl I hate to do this, but we are apparently playing keep away with the sparkling and we are keeping him away from Jazz. I am not sure why, but now it is your turn." Optimus says, handing over the paperwork and sparkling.

"I hate all of you." Prowl frowns. Reflect frowns a little, he still hadn't forgiven Prowl for making him wreck.

"keep away Jazz." Reflect says. Prowl frowns.

"I don't think so." Prowl says, putting the sparkling on the floor. "I'm busy Reflect. I don't have time for games." Prowl mutters.

"that 'cause Prowl stupid." Reflect glares, kicking open the vent in his office. "stupid Prowl. Reflect keep away." Reflect grumbles, crawling into the vent.
