This is the last chapter of the book and I really tried not to disappoint you, so, tell me if it is good! Flashback:

"Sue, go stand over there!"

"What?!"

"I said! Go stand over there! Jesus..." Jessica yelled back and laughed. Susan was now standing on the frozen lake in front of her house in Maine while Jessica holding her camera was trying to take a good picture of her lover. The sun was slowly setting and the sky was now filled with colors making the view look mesmerizing.

"How do I look?" Susan shouted back, covered with her scarf, you could barely recognize her.

"One more" Jessica replied and took the photo, she stopped and lowered the camera, taking a moment just to admire her lover. Immediately Susan realized it and smiled. "Come on, let's go home" she yelled and Susan started walking to her side while mumbling, "Oh, thank you, Lord!"

Jessica raised her arm just to place it on Susan's shoulder, making the younger woman bury her face into Jessica's neck. Jessica chuckled as they both walked inside.

"Aren't you like... freezing?" Susan asked, still wearing her coat, gloves, and scarf. Sitting in front of the fireplace, she looked at Jessica who was walking around the living room wearing only her t-shirt. "I grew up in Minnesota, I can handle it."

"Jesus, I really can't"

"Maybe all you need is a hug"

With that Susan looked at her and smiled, she run to Jessica's side like a kid and buried herself into Jessica's arms. "Much better" she whispered, making Jessica laugh. "I love it when you're like that"

"Like what?" Susan asked and glanced up to look at her lover.

"Like a child"

"But that's why you love me, right?"

Jessica laughed at her response and started walking towards the couch whilst having Susan into her arms. "For that and for many other reasons"

"I'm all ears"

"I'm still figuring them out" she replied and made Susan chuckle. "No, I said it so many times and I'm gonna say it again but you've changed me, Sue, you bring the best out of me"

"I'm incredible, aren't I?" Susan said and locked her eyes with Jessica's

Jessica chuckled and looked at her, "You truly are," she said and placed a kiss on her lover's lips.

Now:

"Good morning" Sarah whispered and leaned on top of her friend, waking her up.

"Morning" Jessica replied and looked at her

"Still not a morning person?"

"Never was and will never be" she replied with a chuckle

"You're so hot," Sarah said and bit her lip, Jessica covered her face with her palm and laughed, "Please, stop"

"I missed you so much, I missed this"

Jessica didn't reply, she took a minute staring at her and suddenly pushed her slowly away just to stand up, "Me too"

"You don't have to lie to me, I know you, Jessica"

With that, Jessica closed her eyes, she shook her head and chuckled, "Thanks"

"Maybe we need to talk"

"You think so?"

"So, how did it go?" Clayton's voice over the phone was so loud, causing Susan to open immediately her eyes

"Great, it went great"

"Did you..."

"Had sex?" she asked and stretched out on her bed, "Yeah we did"

"Oh, boy... How was it?"

"Well..." she stopped and took a sitting position on the bed, "I kinda missed having sex with a man but..."

"God, I thought you were gonna tell me how much you want Jessica back"

"Let me finish!"

"Alright, I'm all ears"

Flashback, previous night:

"Ahh... Fuck!" Susan yelled and thrust herself on more time until she collapsed on top of him. Susan rolled to the other side of the bed, both were now a panting mess. "Thanks"

John: "About what?" he replied and hugged her

"About this, I needed it"

John: "Well, good thing that we met each other. I'm not gonna give you time to rest"

"Oh, no..." Susan chuckled and stood up, "This was a one-night thing, I think we both agreed on that" she continued and started dressing up.

John: "I thought you were joking"

"But I wasn't!" she said and tied up her hair, "Look, the thing is that I just ended things up with my... partner, and I'm not looking for anything serious at the moment" she added, and went into the bathroom.

John: "But you didn't even give us a try, I mean, you don't know how things will turn out. Maybe, in the end, things won't work out or maybe I can make you happier than your ex!"

"Don't! Say that!" she shouted with the toothbrush in her mouth, "I was more than happy with her!"

John: "Her?"

"Fuck..." she murmured and lowered her sigh

John: "Hey, I'm not here to judge you, you can talk to me"

"Well, the thing is that I am straight at least I was before her, she just changed the way I was thinking and now, I'm sorry but you're not her," she said and walked back to the bathroom

John: "Do I know her?"

"Everyone does" she yelled

John: "What's her name"

"I'm not gonna talk about her with you," she said walking back to him. Susan took her phone and keys

John: "Where are you going?"

"At her place..." she said and walked to the door, she stopped and looked at him, "You're a great guy, John... but I'm not what you're looking for," she said and left, "Please don't steal anything!" she yelled from the distance. With that, John laughed and shook his head.

Susan was almost running to Jessica's house, sending messages to her lover but knowing very well that Jessica won't even look at them. That's how she is, I bet she doesn't even know where her phone is, Susan thought and smiled at herself. Within a few minutes, Susan was standing in front of Jessica's door. At first, she thought it was the t.v. that Jessica leaves always open but then she heard her, loud and clear.

Now:

"I think I heard Sarah but yet I'm not sure" she sighed and threw her head back, "For some weird reason I don't feel anything, it's almost 12 and she still didn't reply to my texts, she hasn't even called back"

"Well... Fuck"

"Exactly"

"You think they've been seeing each other and that's why she broke up with you?"

"No, I don't think so, Clayton. I mean, we were together most of the time and she wasn't lying when I asked her if she was seeing someone else. I think she's hurt, I couldn't give her what she wanted and she knew that Sarah would run after her cause she still has feelings for her. Jessica knows very well what she's doing. I'm just a little angry is all"

"But you had sex with John"

"It hurts differently when you're having sex with a woman and differently with a man"

"You know damn well what to do, Lange"

"I don't, Sarah..."

"Oh, please you're an actress, that's what you do for a living"

"But will it work?"

"For me it would and I think the rest of the world can agree"

Jessica chuckled, she lighted up a cigarette and stared at her. "I don't want to be a joke"

"You won't, Jessica, trust me!"

"Fine!" Finally, Jessica said and looked at her, "And about us, thank you for last night"

"Promise me you won't do it again, you know I can't resist you"

Jessica chuckled, "I promise"

"Alright, come on, send her"

"No! It's the other one, her brother!"

"Jesus, Susan! You haven't even watched the second season!"

"But the actress that plays that part is a friend of Jessica's and when we met her I asked her, she told me about it, trust me," Susan said and heard her text tone, she stopped and looked at the message, Clayton still talking...

*Friday night. At my place. I need to talk to you.*

"She just sent me"

"So that's what's going on with her family, the writer tho must have an issue or something"

"Clayton! Jessica sent me"

"What?"

"Friday night at her place, apparently she wants to talk to me"

"Don't go!"

"Are you crazy of course I will"

"Of course you should go! That's what I would do"

"What does she want now?"

"You?"

"Nuh, she doesn't need me anymore"

"You don't know that Susan"

"I guess I'm gonna find out then"

*Bang,Bang,Bang*

"Well, hello there" Jessica whispered and once again let the other woman speechless. Susan stood there for several minutes just admiring her lover. Her body laying perfectly under the black tight dress, revealing her beautiful legs. Her black high heels shining and her hair tied, most of them at least and the rest of them, slightly touching her neck.

Jessica crossed her arms and leaned on the door, "Are you coming in or?" she said in a husky voice.

Suddenly Susan got lost, she cleared her throat, "Umm, sure" she replied and walked inside.

Once she got inside she saw a table for two, with candles and red roses on top of it. "I hope you're hungry"

"What's this?"

"I made us dinner of course, what does it look like?"

"Why though?"

"Come on, Susan, sit down"

Susan didn't talk, she did as ordered and sat across her lover. Looking at her, Jessica filled her glass with wine and took hold of hers, which was filled with vodka.

"I guess old habits don't change, right?" Susan said referring to Jessica's drink. Both laughed. "I guess so..."

"Could you explain to me what am I doing here?"

"Well, Susan. We've been through a lot together and not having you is, if not the hardest, one of the hardest things I'm going through. So, I thought if, of course, you're okay with that to simple stay friends. Cause I do care about you"

"That's bullshit and you know it"

"Excuse me?"

"We can't stay in each other's lives if we're not lovers"

Jessica raised her eyebrow and chuckled, "I guess you're right"

"But since you've thought about it and seem to handle it alright. Fine! Let's be friends"

Jessica gave her look and puckered up her lips, obviously annoyed. She watched her lover sipping her drink, "Hm... nice wine"

"Thank you. Perhaps you wanna eat something"

"Oh, no, I'm not gonna stay that long. I just came cause you said you wanna talk to me"

"Oh... I see"

"So, what's new with you?"

"Nothing special, you?"

"Well, since we're Friends now..." she stopped and chuckled, "I'm seeing someone else."

Jessica suddenly got serious, she lowered her sight and took a deep breath. After a few seconds, she finally looked at Susan and smiled, "That's good"

"Yeah, it is, isn't it? His name is John, and God, on bed he's..." she said and closed her eyes smiling, "Incredible" she added.

"So he fucked you already, how nice" she replied. Trying really hard not to cry, she reached for her glass and took a sip.

"Yeah, the day you left. He came by, and since then he never left"

"Yeah?" she whispered

"But what about you? Come on, we're friends now! Tell me everything"

"I had sex with Sarah"

"Oh, my... how was it?" Susan asked.

Jessica looked at her, Could she be such a talented actress when it came to her life? She stared at her confused, "It was... good"

"Did she break up with Holland?"

"No, they didn't"

"Oh, so you two are gonna continue fucking behind her back? I don't get it"

"It was just a one-night thing, it's not happening again. Period"

"How was it thought?"

"What?"

"Fucking her"

"It was good like I said" she stopped and looked at her, "But she's not you."

"What is that mean?"

"All I could think of was you, laying you down, kissing every inch of your body, making you shout out my name, fucking you... so... hard"

Susan looked at her, both sitting in silence, their minds traveling. All Susan did was swallowing. "How is John?" she asked and stood up, she rested her arm on the table, making sure that Susan wouldn't take her eyes away from her, "He's incredible like I said."

"So you weren't thinking about me?"

Susan didn't reply, "Susan?" she whispered and moved closer to her lover, finally placing her hands on her shoulders

"Good thing we're just friends now or else..."

"What?"

"I would fuck you right here"

"Why don't you honey?"

"We're friends now, Jess, remember?"

"You want me to beg you?"

"You don't have to, I've got to go in a while anyway"

Jessica lifted her dress and sat on Susan's lap before she unzipped her lover's jeans. She wrapped her hands around Susan's neck and moved closer. Her mouth slightly touching Susan's. "You're gonna leave before eating?"

"I'm not that hungry"

"Maybe you didn't hear me clearly, you're gonna leave before eating... me?"

"Still, I'm not that hungry"

"I know you, Sue, you won't last forever"

"You have no idea what I'm capable of"

"Is that so?" Jessica said and shoved her hand into Susan's panties, which elicited a throaty moan from the older woman. "You want me to stop?"

"Yes "

"Will you... fuck me after?"

"No, I've got to... ahh... leave"

"Please... I need you" she said and shoved her own fingers into her panties.

"Jessica... stop, ah!"

"Fuck me... daddy"

"You're... unbelievable... ahh" Susan whispered and threw her head back, enjoying every action her lover was making.

"Tell me, do you remember when we were in Maine?"

"I don't..."

"You don't remember tying me down?"

"Not really..."

"You don't remember fucking me?"

"I said no..."

"And what about New Orleans, Paris? You don't remember how much sex we had there?"

"Fuck..." Susan exhaled while Jessica continued thrusting her fingers inside of her, suddenly she stopped and looked at her. Susan finally opened her eyes, meeting her lover's. With a sad look on her face, "Why did you stop?"

Jessica smirked and removed her fingers out of her lover's core, she brought them into her mouth and licked each one of them while still looking at Susan who was now just standing, speechless. Enjoying this little game Jessica made up, she was determined to push her on the edge and beyond. This night should last forever, she was thinking and as much as Jessica was started to get annoyed by her lover's reactions she was enjoying it as much as Susan did.

It was true... that night... would last forever...

"I'm not gonna let you leave like that, Sue"

"I'm not asking for your permission. I'm a free woman and you're just my friend, I can leave whenever I want"

"Can't you see it?" Jessica whispered, moving closer to her, "We're made for each other. I know that now. Give up"

"Maybe... but still, I've got something beautiful with John, I can't ruin it just to run after you... again!"

"But that's how it always goes. You can't live without me. I can't live without you"

"That's true, but we're friends now, we don't have to be apart"

"Alright, let's say we're friends, I would be next to you, we sleep together sometimes, wouldn't you want to run your fingers all over me, taste me, kiss me?"

"I could try not to think about it"

"You're tough, I give you that"

"I told you so"

"But I'm tougher than you, baby, I know that eventually, you'll break down, you always do. I know how it will go"

"And how will it go?"

"We're gonna have sex, cause I want it. And I need it."

"Don't I have a word on that?"

"Not really, honey"

"That's not gonna happen"

"Let's see" Jessica replied and smiled, she kissed her lover but no response came from Susan who was keeping her mouth shut, she stopped and chuckled. Immediately she removed her own hand which was resting on her own center and replaced it with Susan's who closed her eyes and slowly moved her fingers, touching Jessica's wetness. "Did I do that?" she asked, knowing already the answer

"And we haven't even started"

"You're so wet"

"Come on Susan, please..."

"I said, I'm not doing anything..." she replied and removed her fingers, Jessica looked at her, "Do it yourself" she added and looked down on Jessica's center as she now smirked and inserted her own fingers inside. "Ahh... God"

Susan finally glanced up to look at her lover's expression, the way she threw her head back and closed her eyes.

"Fuck..." Jessica yelled and started thrusting herself on her fingers, more forcefully as the time passed, "Oh, Sue... yes!" she shouted, "Please, Sue" she whined. Even though Susan was determined not to do a single thing, now it seemed impossible not to touch Jessica. The woman she loves... HER woman. Eventually, she gave up.

Susan reached for Jessica's dress and slid it down, her mouth found her nipple, nibbling her warm flesh. Jessica smiled, knowing that Susan was still in love with her.

Susan took hold of Jessica's legs and lift her up while still sucking her skin, she moved them both to the couch and carefully placed her lover down. She stopped and looked at her, "What are you doing to me?"

"What honey?" Jessica asked confused

"I can't resist you!"

"Because you love me"

"More than you can imagine," Susan said and buried her face into Jessica's neck, her fingers found easily their way down on Jessica's body. She shoved three fingers inside and used her thumb to stroke her bundle of nerves, making Jessica moan her name on repeat. Until she came on her lover's fingers and gasping for air. Susan slowly slid her fingers out and moved down to taste her.

"Ah... Sue" Jessica whispered

"Ready for another round, I guess?" Susan asked, looking at her

"Please" she replied while nodding and with that, Susan started sucking up Jessica's wetness.

That night she came again, and again... and again and before they realized it, they were on Jessica's bed naked. It was now Susan, moaning her lover's name on repeat, her legs shaking and her mouth hanging open, for the third time.

Jessica finally moved up, she used the back of her hand to wipe her mouth and rested next to her lover. Giving her time to calm down.

When Susan opened her eyes, Jessica was standing in front of the window, wearing her silk robe, smoking, she heard Susan stretching out and looked at her, "I slept?"

"Yeah, you were out for almost ten minutes"

"Why didn't you wake me?"

"I... because I don't want you to leave"

"Did you really fucked her?" Susan asked and sat on the bed

"Yes," she replied and looked at the sky, "But you've got to understand, at least try to... It didn't mean anything to both of us"

"I know you, Jess, I know you did it just to make sure you still got it. And I can't stop thinking that is my fault... I know I wasn't always there for you, with the job, the crazy things going on"

"I was feeling that we were obligated to spend the days together, it felt like we both didn't want to but had to"

"It was like that, you're right"

"What about you and that guy?"

"It was just a one-night thing, nothing more. I couldn't just forget you"

"Am I better than him?"

"Well..." Susan started and laughed, Jessica, chuckled, and put out the cigarette as she was now returning on the bed, next to her lover. "Jess, I'm still in love with you, I still want you. We've been through a lot together and even if we did get used to it. I like how things are"

"I missed Penny," she said and placed her head on Susan's chest

"You know what? She missed you too"

"I thought I won't feel anything but yet when you talked about John and that you had sex it kinda hurt me, Sue"

"Well, that makes both of us"

They sat in silence for several minutes until Jessica talked, "You're not going anywhere now, are you?"

"I'm staying here for the night, tomorrow morning we're going back to my place and then maybe we could go to Maine or New Orleans"

"Or stay home, like a married couple"

"As long as we're together we could stay wherever you want" she replied and closed her eyes.

"I don't want for this night to end"

"Close your eyes" Susan whispered and Jessica immediately did as ordered, "Imagine us tomorrow at my place, drinking, watching movies, eating, and then the night comes, we'll be on our bed, into each other's arms as we are now. Our ending it's up to us"

"I love you so much, honey," Jessica said and kissed Susan's cheek. Eventually, she closed her eyes

"I love you too, Jess" Susan replied and smiled, she placed her hands on Jessica's back and started stroking her softly until they both fell asleep.

Dreaming about all the nights that they had together or will in the future...
