"Of course, I'll tell her..." Jessica replied to Ryan over the phone as she watched Susan standing up from the bed and finally stretching out. "No, she's right here" she continued making Susan turn around.

"Who is it?" Susan mouthed to her lover but all she got as a response was Jessica making her a sign to hush. "I think it's a great idea. I don't think we'll come to the event tho but afterward, count us in."

Jessica reached for her cigarettes next to the bed and lit up one, "Hmm..." she nodded while blowing the smoke away and finally continued talking, "We'll be there, thank you, darling... I've got to go now, I'll see you there. Goodbye" she added and closed her phone, throwing it on the bed.

"Who was that?" Susan asked confused as she was now getting dressed

"It was Ryan, he's throwing a party"

"Oh, party for what? Is he getting another star?" Susan joked and zipped her jumpsuit.

"No, no... It's just a party. I told him we'll go so what do you think?"

"I don't know..." Susan shrugged, "I could use a few drinks that's true but since I discovered that I could get wasted while still being inside my home, I'm not a fan of going out"

"Well, it's tonight so you've got a few hours to think about it"

"You're going?" Susan suddenly turned to look at her lover, surprised that Jessica actually agreed on going out, with or without her.

"I said yes, I can't leave him waiting. Plus... everyone will be there"

"Wait a minute..." Susan said while approaching her, "You said yes because you wanted to go or did you say yes cause everyone else will be there?"

"What is the point of this? I said yes for both reasons..."

"No no..." Susan said with a smirk on her face while shaking her finger, "You said yes because you wanna see someone in particular"

"Maybe..." Jessica shrugged and made herself more comfortable on the bed

"So, will you tell me who you wanna see?"

"I guess you've got to find that out for yourself"

"I guess... but will happen if we both don't go?" Susan said and with that, she jumped on top of her lover, "What if we just stay in for the night?"

"Susan, I'm going," Jessica said decisively, "You are invited as well. Now it's up to you if you wanna come"

Susan stared at her for a moment, she reached for Jessica's cigarette and took a drag, putting it out eventually.

"You're so hot when you're smoking," Jessica said with a chuckle, observing her lover who went straight on Jessica's neck, nibbling her soft, warm flesh and making her melt under her lips, "You're so hot. Period." she whispered and didn't hesitate to bit Jessica's earlobe, making her let out a throaty moan.

"Why don't you take out the dogs first, huh?" Jessica whispered with her eyes shut but her body was already weak, feeling Susan's soft lips all over her cleavage. "Or we could go together after..." she continued.

Susan slowly lifted Jessica's black t-shirt, leaving her with her white bra, she took a minute, admiring the view before she smirked and continued her actions.

"I've got things to do, Lange and if we're going to this party I really should do them now"

"Girls!!!" Ryan shouted, placing his drink on the table next to him, he rushed to greet both women who walked into his New York apartment.

"Hello, darling" Jessica smiled and kissed his cheeks, "How are you?"

"Honestly, I've never been better, everything's great!" he replied and then hugged Susan who was standing next to them with a large smile on her face.

"That's wonderful"

"I didn't think you would actually come, for Susan I had no doubt but I guess she has her way on you" he chuckled and winked at Susan

"Well, actually I had to convince her to come," Jessica said, defending her self

"That's true" Susan laughed and stared at her lover

"How are the kids?"

"They're great! They're in L.A. You have to come to visit us, lady... Both of you, we could go out..."

"That sounds so appealing to her..." Susan joked, receiving a playfully punch on her shoulder from her lover.

"So what's going on with you two? When is the wedding?" he asked making them laugh

"Hush now, remember only you and Sarah know about us..."

"Right, yeah, sorry"

"Speaking of..." Susan whispered and smiled while watching Sarah walking to their side. "Hey!" she shouted and hugged them, "I thought you won't come"

"But here we are..." Susan replied and looked at Jessica hugging her friend

"Yeah you are... come on, tell me, what do you want to drink?"

"Oh, some whiskey would be great"

"And I'll..." Jessica started but Sarah cut her short, "Let me guess? Vodka?"

Jessica smirked and raised her eyebrow, "Exactly..."

"Okay, I'll be back, don't go anywhere," Sarah said and left. Ryan looked at Susan who was just staring at Sarah and chuckled, "Well..."

"So where's Kathy?"

"Oh, she's not here... she couldn't come"

"That's bad... I really missed her"

"I know and she missed you as well... she always asks me about you"

"Apparently a lot of people missed Jess," Susan said with an angry look on her face.

"What are you doing?" Jessica whispered, trying not to make a scene

"What? All I'm saying is that people are missing you, there's nothing wrong with that?"

"It's not about that, it's the way you said it..."

With that Ryan cleared his throat making his presence evident, "Um... I should leave you two" he said and left without saying anything

"See what you did?!" Susan said and looked at her lover

"What's wrong with you?!"

"Let me guess, Vodka?" Susan said mimicking Sarah's voice

"What are you? Twelve? For God's sake!" Jessica sighed

"What are you? Twelve?" Susan continued mimicking now Jessica's voice, making her chuckle, "What's the matter?" Jessica whispered, moving closer to her lover but not so close, giving the fact that few people were looking at them, "You're jealous?" she smirked

"No, I'm not jealous..." Susan replied and looked at her, "I'm just... tired"

"Tired?" Jessica asked her confused, she took a step back.

"I'm tired of this, Jess... I'm tired of hiding, pretending we're just good friends, I'm tired of looking at you and not be able to kiss you or even hold your hand, I'm tired of hearing the same fucking question! When is the wedding?! And I respect that you don't want us to come out in public but it's killing me..." she stopped and looked at Jessica who lowered her sigh, processing what her lover just said, "So here it is... I'm not jealous... I'm tired and I'm angry... maybe I'm a little jealous, I mean who am I kidding?" she chuckled, "I know how much you love her and that's okay cause she really cares about you"

"People aren't stupid, Sue..."

"What is that mean?"

"Everyone knows that we are together, we're just keeping it private"

"For how long, Jess?"

"What do you want me to do?!"

Susan sighed, "I don't know... I just had to let it out"

"You did the right thing..."

"Here you are..." Sarah shouted, walking to their side she gave them their drinks and smiled, "So how are you two?"

"Everything's good..."

"Did you see Holland?"

"She's here?"

"Yeah, she said she'll come to talk to you, guess she made a stop" Sarah laughed and turned to look out for her lover, spotting her among the crowd she started shouting out her name, making Susan laugh. Holland smiled and walked slowly to their side, "Hello there" she said, greeting them and then placed a kiss on Sarah's cheek. With that, Susan turned to Jessica and whispered, "See, that's how I want us to be..." --

Jessica was standing in the corner, smoking and drinking her third drink, her thoughts were now louder than the music, everything Susan said was true but yet she didn't want to change the way she's been handling it. But she wanted to change one thing...

"What are you doing?" Sarah asked her friend and stood next to her.

With that, Jessica started laughing, "You love her?" she asked and looked at her friend, suddenly Sarah got serious, "Yeah..." she nodded, "I do..."

"Are you happy being with her?"

"I... I'm more than happy, she makes me happy"

"How so?"

"I don't know... I just look at her and she makes my heart race... I know we won't be together for long, I know that but as long as we are together now that's all that matters to me"

"And she loves you too, I can tell"

"Yeah, she does..."

"What's wrong?" Jessica asked worriedly.

"I don't know if I'll ever love her as much as she loves me though..."

"Hmm... Don't say that..." Jessica replied, sipping from her drink

"I mean it, Jess... The only person I've ever loved more than anything is you"

"Sarah... please," she said, wanted to stop her friend before it was too late

Sarah looked at her for a minute before answering, not knowing if she should tell her what she had in mind but eventually, "The worst part is that I'm willing to throw everything away just to be with you again, just for a day and I'd be grateful. I mean, I'm probably sounding like a bad person"

"No, I'm happy for you, don't get me wrong, I really like Susan and you two are great together"

"Believe me... you're better with Holland, she can give you all the things I couldn't... Jesus... I can't even give those things to Susan..."

Jessica chuckled, "Thanks..."

"I missed talking to you..." Jessica replied while chuckling

"I'm awesome, what can I say..." Sarah shrugged

"And thanks for the advice... I needed that cause I'm about to do something big" she said and inhaled, "I want..." she started but stopped when Susan got to their side, "What are you two talking about?"

"You know... we're catching up..."

"Interesting..."

"I need a re-fill..." Sarah said while laughing and disappeared into the crowd.

"Sue... I wanna ask you something"

"Fuck... I need to pee" Susan shouted and walked away, making Jessica laugh, she left her drink to the side and followed her lover into the bathroom. --

"What the hell, Lange? Can't I have some privacy?" Susan yelled while sitting on the toilet.

"What for? I'm not gonna see something I haven't seen already..." Jessica joked and looked at herself in the mirror.

"So what were you two talking about back there?"

"You know... stuff... I asked her about Holland, she asked me about you"

"Is that so?" Susan continued and flashed the toilet, pulling up her pants.

"Yeah..." Jessica said and fixed her hair, looking from the mirror Susan walking slowly to her side, she smiled and stepped to the side, "I heard Ryan's got a king's size bed inside..." she said while washing now her hands.

"What?"

"But you didn't let me finish..."

"Alright, go ahead"

"How about I buy one too? I was thinking of making a few changes in my house, why don't I start with the bed?"

Susan chuckled, "Not this time, Lange"

Both started dancing, hugging each other as tight as possible. Susan placed her head on Jessica's shoulder, making her smile...

"I believe you wanted to ask me something..."

"Oh... yeah..."

"So what is it?"

"I just wanna know how you feel about me"

"You mean you want to hear me saying how much I love you?"

Jessica laughed, "Too bad, cause I'm crazy about you"

"Oh, God... you're breaking up with me?" Susan asked and looked at her lover, "That's it? You wanted to break up with me?"

"Susan I wanna marry you, do you?"

Susan stepped back and stared at her for a minute, "No... I don't..."
