Vibrania, and Breaking the News

(A/N) Heyo!

"Why? They're still my technical parents," I said, not actually caring, but feeling like I should at least try.

"They ignore you at every turn and tried to vivisect you that one time. Why are you still defending them?" Flux asked incredulously.

I shrugged, mumbling something under my breath.

Flux continued to stare at me incredulously for a few seconds, then continued. "Well, either way, you're most likely going to have to choose a universe. Amelia and Secilia are most likely going to stay with the Garrisons, which is Emma's family."

"What's the difference?" I asked.

"Well, as I said, the Garrison family works with aliens, we do more of the superhero aspect."

"Do you have a superhero name?" I asked.

"Yes, Hopewing. My parents were Hopefire and Speedwing."

"Were?"

"They don't superhero anymore, and my dad's dead." She said it quickly, and I almost missed it. "Besides, Mom's got Letrix to look after, and she's got her hands full with him. He's my little brother, he'll be turning one in a couple of months."

"That's quite the age gap," I commented.

"Well, elemental children can be more difficult to handle then normal children, so usually, elementals only have one, except in the case of light and dark elementals."

I blinked at her, not following.

"Oh, sorry. Info dumps are not your thing, got it," Flux rubbed the back of her head and opening a door for me. "Here's the kitchen."

A girl with dark grey hair was cooking something, probably some sort of egg thing, based on the nearly empty carton of eggs.

"Hey Vibrania, this is Danny, he's Secilia's kind of cousin."

Vibrania didn't turn around, or even bother acknowledging our presence, with the exception of a slight turning of her head when we came in.

"Right, Danny, this is Vibrania, don't be surprised if she doesn't talk to you unless necessary for a few weeks."

"I think you people have problems," I decided. "And you're trying too hard to make it seem like it's normal."

Flux blushed, her blush tinted with the same dark purple as her hair. "Sorry?"

Vibrania snorted softly, putting whatever she'd been cooking and handing it to Flux. She turned back, cracking the rest of the eggs into a bowl. She moved around, cutting up assorted things, and tossing them in the bowl.

I glanced over at Flux, wondering what was on the plate, but finding the plate empty.

"Thanks Vibrania, the omelet was really good. Maybe a tad less onion, and a bit more salt. Personal taste."

Vibrania nodded once, continuing to move around the kitchen.

"Well, Danny, that's about it. Carbonne probably wants you back in the med bay, just to make sure you're fine, then you're probably going to have to decide." Flux patted me on the back.

I sighed. "Great, just what I needed in the middle of 8th grade. Moving to a new school."

Flux shrugged, leading me to a different hallway then the one we came in. "You'll probably be homeschooled in both universes, but I suppose you could choose to go to school."

I blinked. "I never even considered homeschooling."

Flux shrugged. "With homeschooling, we don't have to work around school, we can do our school work when we can, like on patrol."

"And you have a regular sleep schedule?" I asked, glancing at her.

She nodded. "Semi regular anyway. We all have the opportunity to get enough sleep. Not everyone takes it. As for the Fantasyverse team, they can have a very hectic schedule when there are multiple attacks and multiple planets that need their help." Flux opened a door, shooing me into the med bay.

Secilia glanced up from sharpening her knives. "Ah, took you long enough."

"We had some encounters," Flux allowed. "Danny ran straight into Coral."

I blushed straight to my ears. "It was an accident."

"Well duh, I didn't think you'd run into her on purpose," Secilia commented, tucking the knife and the sharpening stone away. "Did Flux give in and tell you?"

"About what?" I asked, confused.

"Yes, I already told him," Flux said, nodding to Secilia.

"About what?" I asked again.

"Did he have anything to say on the subject?" Secilia asked, completely ignoring me.

"Not really, he was pretty impartial to the whole thing."

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?" I finally shouted.

"Where you're staying, duh," Secilia said, barely sparing me a glance.

"Oh, why didn't you just say that in the first place?" I asked.

"Cause I wanted to see if you could figure it out. Apparently not." Secilia smirked at me, and I frowned at her. I hated it when she did it, and apparently, she hasn't stopped. "So, you pick yet?"

(A/N) Haha! I leave you on a proper cliff hanger. Even if no one's actually reading this one........ BYE!
