The End
"Yeah, I think I'll go with the Fantasyverse house," I decided, rubbing the back of my head.
Flux grinned. "Thought so. Secilia mentioned you wanted to be an astronaut. Much safer to be an astronaut with the Fantasyverse team. After all, they have less deadly technical issues."
"No one's died from faulty tech yet!" Secilia crowed.
"That's impressive," I admitted. Space travel wasn't very safe, a lot of people died.
"After dinner," Emma said, walking over. "We'll transfer your stuff tomorrow. And destroy that portal."
"We'll have to hunt down all the ghosts before then. Put all of them in the portal, then destroy that monstrosity," Secilia said firmly. "It'll eliminate the passageway between the two worlds, hopefully cutting it off forever, except to primordials like Clockwork or Ma'at."
"Any ghosts we miss can be transported to the Ghost Zone by me," Emma added.
I nodded, suddenly tired. "Sleep, then plot," I told Secilia.
She shook her head. "Fine, plotting has been postponed for your sake."
I yawned, and Flux grinned. "Come on, Carbonne wants you in for a check on the burn, then you can spend the night there for convenience while the others set up your room."
I allowed Flux to escort me to the Med Bay, where Carbone checked the burn, or the skin where it had been, anyway, then let me sleep.
I woke up to Secilia leaning over me and shaking my shoulder. To say I was mildly irritated, would be a bit of an understatement.
"What do you want?" I snapped irritably.
"To blow stuff up," Secilia said innocently.
I sighed, swinging my feet off the side of the bed, standing up. "Fine. We can go."
Secilia grinned. "Great! Eat this first though. Onyx insists." She shoved a wrapped bagel at me, and I ate it quickly.
Emma walked up beside Secilia, grinning. "Come on, room, then blow stuff up. You're gonna love your room. Probably. Hopefully."
"I'm sure I will," I said politely. In all honesty, most things would be better than my normal room. Not many things were in it, and I rarely spent any time in it anyway.
"We decorated it too!" Emma chattered excitedly, grabbing both Secilia and my shoulders. "Astronaut decorations and such. Onyx even dug up a book on the species of the galaxies, we have the species we have on the team bookmarked with purple and the Runaways team in white." We teleported to outside a door labeled with my name, except it read Danny Cross, instead of Danny Fenton.
I glanced at Secilia and did a double take. Instead of black streaks in her hair, she now had purple streaks, accompanied by the same color purple eyes. Apparently, I stared a little long, cause she raised her eyebrows at me. "What is it Danny, you're staring."
"Purple," I managed, shocked.
Secilia frowned, then her face cleared as Emma pointed to her head. "Oh, my hair and eye color change. I guess we forgot to explain. My hair and eye color change depending on what universe I'm in. Purple is the color of this universe."
"Your room awaits," Emma said cheerfully, gesturing to the door. "By the way, Amelia has decided you are her kid, so you're a Cross instead of a Garrison. Amelia claimed you first."
I glanced at her weirdly, then opened the door.
I gasped. The entire room had been painted a very deep blue, intermixed with black and the occasional very dark red, dark purple, beige, or dark green. The walls and ceiling were spattered with stars, and the room was split in half by a stunning rendition of the milky way.
"It glows in the dark too, the constellations are outlined with special, clear, glow in the dark paint! All the stars glow too. We made sure it looks just like the night sky without any light pollution," Emma said, excitement in her tone.
I continued looking around. The bed was larger than the one I had at the Fenton's, but all the same bedding stuff was on it. The desk was the same, covered in assorted papers. The floor was a grassy green carpet, and some of the walls had trees painted on masterfully. A few of the trees surrounded the posters I'd had on my walls, and a few even had little birds painted in. Wait a moment. That bird was moving. And so was that one, and all the trees were moving slightly in an invisible breeze.
"Isn't it cool? We got Merlin to animate the paintings, sorry there's no sun in the sky right now, we haven't painted a day variant on yet. The moon already went down. If you want, Gliss can paint on other animals that aren't on here right now. I think there are a few squirrels hanging around, but I don't know where they hid." Emma glanced around as if actually looking for the missing painted squirrels.
"Where'd the moon go?" I asked.
Emma shrugged. "It went down. It disappeared a while ago."
"So, you don't actually know where it went?"
"Nope! It'll be back tonight though. Would you prefer if there wasn't a day variant?"
I nodded. "The night sky is pretty enough."
"Danny, check the bed," Secilia ordered.
I checked the bed, finding a sort of suit on it. "What's this?"
"Your space suit," Secilia replied casually. "By the way, if you have it on while in human form, it'll move over into ghost form, instead of changing into your jumpsuit. I checked. It also has traces of Crystalite, so it conducts magic. You'll be able to do all the stuff you normally can do while in it."
If I was an anime or a cartoon character, I was sure there would be stars in my eyes. "Really?"
Emma nodded. "Yeah, all of us have one. They work really well. I can shoot fire in them!"
"Alright, if we're done here, come on, let's go blow that stupid portal to Tartarus!" Secilia said, grinning maniacally.
"Why did I agree to this?" I asked rhetorically.
"Cause it's the easiest path," Emma replied, walking over to grip my shoulder again. "Don't worry though, their guns will never be able to get through my constructs, so you're safe."
I nodded, and Emma teleported us into the basement of my old home. Jack and Maddie were there, and they both pulled weapons immediately. In half a second, Emma had locked eyes with Jack, and he began moving towards the door, but not before a throwing knife from Secilia sliced his weapon in half. Her knife flew back into her hand as Emma turned her attention to Maddie, Jack having walked himself out the door, and out of the house.
While Emma finished getting Jack and Maddie out of the house, Secilia began tinkering with the ghost zone portal, being careful to not activate it.
After a while, she stepped back, nodding to Emma. "Light it up. It'll go kaboom."
Emma grinned ferally, and I stepped back a pace or two. Emma's hands lit on fire, and the fire lept from her hands. As soon as the fire came in contact with the portal, it exploded. Somehow, the fire from the explosion parted around us, and it was all over in a few seconds, leaving almost nothing behind. Emma teleported us out before the house could come crashing down on us.
We reappeared in my new bedroom, and I was content. I had a new family that not only knew my secret, but they were also just as strange, if not stranger, then a half ghost teen. I had a new family of aliens, elementals, and wizards, and I doubted I'd change a thing. Besides, this way, I got to go into space, and how many teenage boys can tell you they go to space once every couple of weeks?
(A/N) That's the end. The end of it all. I will not be seeing you again, but maybe check out other books of mine? I'd really appreciate it. Either way, was this a fitting end to this story?
