(A/N) Yep, blowing stuff up. Secilia's gonna love this...

The sound of an explosion made me jump. Genesis seemed to not be bothered, pulling out a few rolls of gauze and medical tape.

"Is this a normal happening?" I asked, looking at the door nervously.

"Sometimes. It's happened enough that we know not to freak out. The base is secure enough to not be damaged by any minor explosions. And most of us have fast enough healing factors that we're all fine within a few days. The gauze is for covering any of the slightly larger cuts and scrapes."

I stared at the door even harder, but no one came in. "So, is this common where ever Secilia goes?"

"As far as I know, the Fantasyverse house rarely has explosions, mostly because the house isn't fortified like the base is." After a few more minutes of no one coming in, Genesis put the gauze and tape away. "It appears no one was hurt."

The door opened, and Emma came in, smiling widely. "Ah, there you are Danny, while Secilia and Flux work out whatever riled Secilia up, we're taking a trip!"

"Where?"

"Fantasyverse house, duh. Where else?" Emma walked over to my hiding spot, bending over and placing her hand on my head. She had apparently done something, cause the surroundings changed, switching to a sort of living room. "There we go!"

"What did you do?" I asked, backing into another wall.

"Teleported us. We're in a different universe now." Emma smiled, waving to a larger boy, his face splitting into a wide grin as he waved back. "That's my twin brother, Colyn."

I looked between the two a few times. I saw little resemblance. With that big scar on his face, Colyn looked kinda scary, a fact which was only helped along by his large build and height. Oh shoot, he's coming over. "Hi," I managed to squeak out.

Emma looked amused. "Geez dude, Colyn's not that scary."

"I'm not that scary," Colyn agreed. "I think."

"I dunno, I don't think you're that scary. To be fair, I'm not very skittish," a girl commented, her scorpion tail flicking.

"Danny, if you pass out, I'm not preventing you from getting a concussion when your head hits the floor," Emma said, not even looking at me.

I was feeling rather faint, mostly from overload. The girl standing there had a scorpion tail, wings, and horns.

"Honestly Danny, you are literally half-ghost, you can handle seeing two aliens and a demon horse girl," Emma said, sighing. "Danny, this is Kat. Kat, he's Secilia's cousin."

"Am I forever doomed to be introduced like that?" I wondered, frowning.

"Yep. Everyone'll connect you to Secilia. 'Sides, you stay here, you're probably gonna be adopted by the Crosses. Lucky you, Annmarie and Logan are at home, and most of the others are in space. So, the three of us, Onyx, and I believe Elizabeth is here, are the only people here! Except for Mom, she's here too. Dad's at some thingy." Emma shrugged nonchalantly. "Cmon, Onyx probably has some food, and I doubt you've eaten anything recently. Well, Secilia was supposed to give you food when you woke up, but that was a while ago."

"And you know all of this how?" I asked, stabilizing and looking at her suspiciously.

"Telepathy. Oh, and Onyx insisted on passing the burgers out. She insisted I teleport over to give you yours. Does nothing go into your head?"

"Emma, be nice," Colyn scolded. "I'll take over from here. Why don't we go see the kitchen, Danny."

"Um, right," I followed him across what was probably the living room and into a hallway.

"Sorry about her, she's a bit grumpy from having to deal with a bunch of idiots trying to negotiate stuff," Colyn apologized. "She's a bit tired, but can't really sleep until this mess is resolved."

"Sorry for being such a burden," I muttered, feeling even more worthless than before.

"You aren't. Sis is just a bit touchy. Besides, haven't seen Secilia more excited since we arrived. She's quite happy you'll actually get affection. No matter who you're staying with, no matter which path you choose, space, or keeping your feet on the ground."

"I can fly. I'm not planning on keeping my feet on the ground," I deadpanned.

He blushed slightly. "Oh, right. Well, keep your feet on the earth anyway."

"Something like that," I agreed.

"You two are going to walk into a counter if you don't stop walking." I glanced up from the ground, meeting vivid green eyes. Not like my ectoplasmic green, more like the green of a forest. Darker than Emma and Colyn's eyes.

"Sorry," Colyn said, the faint blush darkening slightly. "Danny, Onyx. Onyx, Danny."

I attempted a smile, but I didn't think it convinced her, cause she promptly opened a bag of cookies, one floating out and hovering in front of me.

"Eat it," She ordered, the feathers on her wings rising slightly.

I obeyed quickly, taking a large bite. I figured it was probably best to be on her good side, especially as Genesis had said Onyx was quite scary.

"Does he think everyone here is terrifying?" Onyx asked, glancing at Colyn.

"Apparently. Nearly passed out when he met Kat. And Emma. And me, for that matter."

"I did not nearly pass out!" I protested, attempting to keep just a little dignity.

"Oh, then is looking like you've had all your blood drained from you a sign of you being sick?" Colyn asked innocently. I glared at him. He smirked back, and I sighed, deciding to give up while I still could.

"So, he's meeting people here before his choice?" Onyx asked.

"Yeah, gotta bring him back in an hour though," Colyn replied, shrugging.

"Really? An entire hour? Carbonne's gone soft."

"Nah, he's almost healed anyway, she figured it would be fine. 'Sides, we got something to blow up once he's good as new."

"And that something is..."

"The portal to the Ghost Zone the Fenton's built. We're blowing it to smithereens. No ghosts will pass through, everyone is safe."

"I'm right here," I said, irritated.

"Ah, right. Well, have fun storming the castle!" Onyx said, smiling and handing me a bag of cookies. "Here you go!"

Well, she was definitely nice. I had no idea why she was scary. I found out fairly quickly.
