You were sitting on your bed reading when your best friend y/b/f ran in smiling. "Y/n guess what!" She shouted excitedly. All you did was raise your eyebrow. "What?" You said unenthusiastically. "We have a date tonight!" She squealed. You put you book down and looked at your hyper flat mate. "With Bucky Barnes! I know how you like dark haired guys and I like blondes, so when he came up to me at work he said that we should double date. Apparently he has a best friend named Steve who is an amazing artist so I'll be with him. And I have to say, Bucky is extremely good looking". He smirked, proud of herself. "I know Bucky Barnes. He took some girl at work out for a date and then ditched her to be with his friend". You said. You didn't really like the sound of this Bucky. "Please y/n! I wanna go on a date with an artist! Please! For me!" She whined. Unable to take anymore of her high pitched squeal, you agreed. "What time is the date?" "7:30 and we're meeting them at Joey's". You looked at the clock: 5:37. You better get ready then.

**1hr and a half later**
You looked in the mirror. You had decided to where your red floaty dress and your baby blue reefer coat. You had pulled your hair up into a tight bun with a strand of hair either side of your face to amplify your well shaped features. You quickly applied some mascara and winged eyeliner and carefully added a bright cherry red lipstick to your lips. You put on your best black heels before walking out of your room and into the lounge where Y/b/f was waiting.

"Damn y/n, you look amazing! Bucky won't know what to do when he sees you!" You blushed at her compliment and said how beautiful she looked. "Let's go and meet the boys!" She shouted before dragging you out of the apartment.

It was only a 20 minute walk to your date venue. Joey's was an amazing Italian restaurant that had a reputation for playing the best music and making the best pizza in Brooklyn.

When you got to Joey's, you saw a tall handsome dark haired man standing next to small skinny yet okay looking blonde. "Hey boys!" Y/b/f waved to the men. They suddenly stood up straighter as you walked towards them. "Hello ladies". Bucky smirked but his eyes widened when he saw you causing you to blush. "Hi I'm y/n, you must be Bucky and I'm guessing that you're Steve". You said to them. Steve nodded and shook your hand before introducing himself to y/b/f. Bucky took your hand and placed a soft kiss on your knuckles. "Pleasure to meet you, y/n. Shall we go in?" He asked. You all nodded and entered Joey's.

You waved at Joey as you walked in. "Hi Joey!" You called. He waved back at you and winked when he saw that you were on a date. "You know Joey?" Bucky asked intrigued. "Yeah, he's a family friend". Bucky pulled out a chair for you and tucked it in when you sat down. Steve passed out the menus to you and you looked through it. After a few minutes Joey came over to take your order, "I'll have y/f/f, please Joey". You smiled. "I'll have the same please". Bucky said not taking his sparkling azure eyes off you.

**Time Skip**
You had spent the night dancing with Bucky while Steve and y/b/f sat at the table completely engrossed in their discussion about art. After a few hours of drinking and dancing to your favourite artists such as Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole, you had to go home as you had to work the next day in a diner near the docks.

Y/b/f had decided to go home with Steve earlier so it was just you and Bucky. As you were walking home you started asking Bucky about him and Steve. "So how did you and Steve become friends?" "I can't actually remember. Since I can remember all I have done is stop that punk from  beaten to death by bullies. How did you and y/b/f meet?" He replied. "Well she came into the diner where I work after she caught her boyfriend cheating on her. She was so upset but she didn't have any money on her so I bought her a strawberry milkshake. I said that she could live with me as long as she paid half the rent and she agreed". You smiled.

Your conversation stopped as you neared your apartment. "So this is me, then". "Yes I guess it is". "I had a lovely time tonight Bucky. It has been one of the most wonderful nights ever!" You beamed. "I agree. Miss l/n, How about you let me take you out on another date?" He said cockily. "I will allow it, Mr Barnes". You smirked. You went to open the door but turned back towards him.

You put your arms around his neck and pulled him into a kiss. He replied by grasping your hips and holding them against him. As the kiss deepened you ran your hands through his thick, ebony hair.

"Ahem!" Y/b/f coughed from the door. You pulled away and blushed as she rolled her eyes at the pair of you. "Jeez, I leave them alone for 20 minutes and they are already making out, kids today". She said to herself disapprovingly as she walked aback into your apartment. Bucky sheepishly laughed and you joined him. "So how about tomorrow at 7:00, I'll meet you here". You nodded at his proposal. "I can't wait. Goodnight Bucky". You said pecking his lips. "Goodbye, beautiful." He smiled before turning away and walking down the stairs. You turned back to the door and walked in, bracing yourself for y/b/f jokes and comments.

Meanwhile as Bucky left your apartment building, he made a fist punch to the sky and did a tiny celebration dance as he walked down the street.
