Forgetting- Alternate Ending
**fluff** but occasional swear words
(Italicizes means it was in the first Forgetting chapter, but I suggest you read the italicized parts because it leads into the change)
You were in your bridal suite with your best friend staying in there with you. "I can hardly wait until he sees you in that dress, Y/N!" She said excitedly.
You smiled back at her. "Me too, but right now I am going to take a walk."
She smiled at you. "Is everything ok?" She asked, wholeheartedly.
You smiled at her, reassuringly. "Of course! I just want some fresh air, that's all."
She smiled back and nodded.
You left your room and closed the door, moving down the hallway to the elevator. You opened it and pressed '1.'
You were deep in thought when the elevator bell rang, letting you know that you were on your desired floor. You exited the elevator and made your way outside.
You were walking along one of the paths in the park when you heard the soft sniffling of a man crying. You looked up and saw that it was the man, Mr. Stan.
You walked over to him and whispered a soft "Hey."
He looked up immediately, noticing it was you. This made him even more embarrassed, and he began to frantically wipe his eyes.
"May I sit?" You asked, smiling.
He tried to smile a wholehearted smile, but it ended up being a plastered on one. "Yes, please." He said.
You sat next to him and looked up at the stars. "They're beautiful." You murmured, deep in thought once again.
"Yes, they are." He murmured, but he had been looking at you the whole time.
You looked over to him and smiled. "May I ask, what's wrong?" You asked, sadly and worriedly.
He looked down to his feet and began to cry even more. You rested your arm around his shoulders and he leaned into you, resting his head on your shoulder. "You still don't remember me." He murmured.
You smiled sadly down at him. "I'm sorry." You whispered, almost crying. He sniffled.
"We were walking back from The Revenant when I almost got hit by a car, but then you pushed me out of the way and you got hit instead." So that's why he always said that it was his fault.
You closed your eyes in thought and stroked his shoulder to comfort him but still remembered nothing. Not even the feel of him could help.
He closed his eyes, sighing into your touch. You looked at his face. This was the face of the man that you were kissing on your phone lock screen- or used to be kissing. After leaving the hospital, you changed it to a picture of your (dog/cat), and then you changed it to a picture of you and Adam kissing. Adam would change your phone lockscreen from time to time to a "selfie" of his, or a picture of himself he took lying down in bed. He was always shirtless in these photos, but never showed below his waistline. Because that was yours- and he knew it, too.
You opened your phone to check the time and it read 9:42 p.m. Mr. Stan must've seen your lock screen of Adam shirtless, lying on your bed, and smiling because Mr. Stan's face dropped worse than it was before. You quickly turned off your phone so he couldn't see the picture anymore.
You felt selfish for what you were about to say but you asked it anyway. "Are you still coming to the wedding tomorrow?"
His brows furrowed for a moment before answering. "Yes, I think so." He looked to you with a sad look in his eyes, his mouth turned into a sad frown. His eyes searched yours for a moment and yours searched his.
His eyebrows raised for a millisecond before he started to lean in. You knew what he was doing but you were having none of it. "Stop!" You half-yelled, half-said normally. You got up from the bench in doing so. "I'm not cheating on my fiancé with the guy I don't even remember!"
You regretted these words immediately upon seeing the depressed look on his face. His mouth opened slightly, as if he were going to say something, but he never spoke. Just stared.
"I'm sorry-" you started, feeling like a horrible person. You two had clearly had something before you blacked out. You heard some stories from your family members of you and Mr. Stan but never remembered them. And you wouldn't have had a picture of you and him kissing on your phone if you had had nothing. But it was nothing now.
"No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that. It was silly of me to think that that would make you remember me." He said getting up, bringing his gaze down to his feet. He partly smiled and looked up at you. "My name's Sebastian by the way. You can call me that instead of Mr. Stan."
You half smiled at him. You checked the time again. "I must be going, then. My friend is going to think that I've run away." You giggled slightly and then started walking back to the hotel.
"Yeah, (Brooke/Paige) (or any name you choose) is like that." He giggled, walking a distance behind you.
You stopped in your tracks, and then remembered that of course he knew your best friend's name. You two had had something.
You kept on walking and made your way into the hotel, parting ways with him. You stepped into your elevator and began the ascent to your room.

"It's the day! It's the day!" Your mother sang outside your bathroom door. You were currently taking a shower, soaking your skin in soap suds. The warm water made everything seem real. Water had always been like a second home to you. Swimming, for instance, made you feel free. So, in general, water began to become your safe haven.
You were rinsing the shampoo out of your hair when realization struck you. You invited the man that you didn't remember, but you clearly used to love. And he still loves you.
"Oh my god!" You yelled, cursing yourself.
"Don't begin having orgasms now! That's suppose to wait 'til tonight!" Your best friend called through the bathroom door. You heard some giggles through the door, as well. "But seriously, what's up?" She asked, concerned.
"I fucking invited the guy that still loves me but I don't remember!" You shouted, angry at yourself.
"It's ok, dear. He has clearly moved on if he's willing to come to the wedding." Your mother spoke calmly through the door, hoping to not stress you.
"Ok." You breathed, knowing that he had not moved on given last night's scenario in the park. "Ok."
**
After your makeup had been done and your hair had been curled (straightened, put up, you pick) you were finally not feeling stressed. You saw your reflection and thought Damn, I look fantastic.
You were putting on your dress when you got a text from someone. You were reaching for your phone when your best friend grabbed it and said, "Ooh! It's from Adam!" She gushed, winking at you.
"Give it to me!" You half yelled- half giggled.
She read the text aloud. "Dear my beautiful, beautiful wife: You are amazing. And beautiful. I don't even need to see you to know that. Though, I can't wait to ;) You are crazy sexy," she wiggled her eyebrows at you, "and I can't wait to- OH MY GOD!" She yelled, her mouth agape. She looked at you, her mouth turning into a smirk, her eyes glowing.
"Give it to me!" You yelled, reaching for your phone. Your dress was now on, fitting perfectly.
You grabbed your phone from your friend who had a knowing smirk on her face. You glared at her, and read the text- to yourself, of course.
Adam: You are crazy sexy and I can't wait to tear open your dress tonight and make you mine- officially. ;) And you can make me yours, as well, because I will gladly be the chariot in which you ride upon ;) Love you, and can't wait to see you. :)
You smirked to yourself at his text, and giggled, too. The chariot- he was referencing Game of Thrones, which was one of your favorite shows, and his, too. (A/N: are there and chariots in GOT, or are they a big thing in GOT, because I have no idea. Just made it up)
You glared at your best friend once again, because she had read all of this. She just shrugged and smiled. You were thankful, though, for her stopping reading the text aloud. It would've been pretty embarrassing for your mother to hear this.
Your mother looked at you. "Are you ready?" She asked.
"Yes." You breathed, smiling to yourself. You sent your fiancé a quick text saying, "I can't wait for all of that. And I love you so so so much! <3"
It's time.

The music was playing. The music that you had to walk down the aisle to, that is. You smiled from ear to ear, ready to wed the love of your life.
Your father hooked arms with you, signaling that it was time for you to walk down the aisle. You started walking down the aisle, staring right into Adam's eyes. His eyes were misty upon seeing you. He then, being the drama queen that he is, brought both hands to cover his huge smile, and his eyes crinkled, becoming teary. This made you become teary eyed, as well.
You looked slightly to your left and saw Sebastian, looking sadly at you. Upon looking at him, however, he smiled for you. A teary, misty eyed smile. You couldn't imagine what this was like for him, but you couldn't focus on that. This was your time. And Adam's, of course. But weddings are really all about the bride, right?
You reached the end of the aisle, and your father let you go, smiling at you and kissing your forehead. You looked at Adam, who was teary eyed. "Hi." He whispered, his voice slightly cracking.
"Hi." You whispered back, your voice doing the same.
"We are gathered here today..." The officiant, who was Adam's brother Michael, began.
Finally, it was time for your vows. You went first.
"When we first met, Adam, I was going through some tough, tough shit. But you, you helped me. You made me alive again, and you make me feel like that every single day. You are the best man that I have ever met, and ever will meet. And I can't imagine spending the rest of my life without my little Boo Bear." The crowd laughed a little, as did Adam, who also blushed. "Putting my love for you in words is incredibly hard, because there are too many words and not enough words to use. So, I will say this, I love you. I love you more than anything and anyone in the whole world. And I'm fucking excited to become your wife."
He smiled at your words, grinning from ear to ear. Now, it was his turn. "Y/N, you are beautiful. You, oh god, you are amazing. You make me feel complete and whole. I would say the stuff I said in the text I sent you earlier but I don't exactly think that's something we want heard in front of our families." You giggled as did the rest of the room, your friends sending a few "Oohs" your way. "You are the most amazing woman I have ever met, and you are my Cupcake, my Lovebug, my Sweetie, my Lover, my fair maiden, my fiancé, and- especially- my wife..soon. And I'm so fucking thrilled to be spending the rest of my life with you. I promise to make you feel the rest of your life like you make me feel every day. And I love you. A lot." You giggled, as did he.
You both said your "I do"'s and kissed.
You were officially married to the love of your life.
The night went on better than planned. The cake was amazing. The dancing was amazing. Adam even grinded on you, discreetly, of course. That would've been an awkward sight for your father to see. But, in other words, the night was fun.
Now and then, people would tap their glasses with their spoons signaling that they wanted you two to kiss. In which you obliged, completely willingly.
You and Adam danced the night away, dancing so amazingly and yet so awkwardly at the same time. Awkwardly, meaning, that you two were in your own time, doing your own dances. And that's what you loved about each other- well, one of the things that you loved about each other.
You spoke to Sebastian a few times, making casual conversation. Adam would be with you, some of the time. You could see the pain in Sebastian's eyes. He basically watched the love of his life marry someone else. This crushed you, making a tear roll down your cheek. Adam would look at you from time to time when you were talking to Sebastian alone. In all honesty, you thought the two didn't like each other. Sebastian had a clear reason, but Adam you thought was just jealous. Jealous that his wife was talking to some other guy that loves her. You were ok with it, though. Jealous Adam was adorable Adam, which you loved.
When the party was over, everyone headed home. Sebastian was one of the first ones to leave, barely mumbling a goodbye to you, not even mumbling one to Adam. Adam half smiled at him, but he didn't return the favor. He must really hate Adam, you thought.
**
You two reached your wedding night suite, attacking each other's lips as Adam failed at shutting the door- three times, to be exact. You laughed into the kiss as Adam did so, him laughing as well. He finally had the door shut and he picked you up, bridal style.
He made it to the bed with you in his arms and he threw you on the bed. You landed on your back, laughing in the process. He giggled, as well, and crawled on top of you.
He leaned his head down and kissed you passionately, you kissing back. His tongue explored your mouth, moaning into the kiss. You moaned, as well.
And you both moaned at a lot more than just kissing. ;)
**
Time went on and you and Adam stayed happy.
You were one year into your marriage when you picked up a magazine, one in which had a picture of Kim Kardashian on the front. Of course, you thought.
You picked it up and started flipping the pages. You mainly would focus on pictures, and that would determine if you wanted to read the article or not.
You stumbled across a picture of Sebastian, or not just a picture- a collage. There were many pictures of him across three pages, with words such as 'Tragic' and 'Horrible.' You thought this was because of you marrying Adam and forgetting all about Sebastian, but those papers had been out long ago.
You read into the article and what you read tore you apart.
"On June 27, 2016, Sebastian Stan was declared dead in his apartment. He was hung from his ceiling, medicated as well. He had too many depression pills in his system to sustain him, but professionals are saying that that was only one way he tried to off himself. Today, he tried to kill himself in two ways- one being successful. We assume that this is because of his girlfriend of 2015 marrying another man and forgetting all about him. His family members and friends are mute about this topic and have chosen to not speak about it. Here at New York Magazine, we feel horrible that Sebastian had to go through this. We all honor his work and are so sad that we will not be seeing any future movies of his. Thank you for your work, Sebastian." The article read.
You screamed into your hand, crying.
Apparently, the muffled screams and sobs had been enough to get Adam out of the shower, him running to you in only a towel. "What's wrong, baby?" He asked, out of breath. You handed him the article, sobbing to yourself. He quickly skimmed the article. His face froze and he brought his gaze to you. "It's not your fault." He breathed, drawing you into a hug. You slammed yourself into his chest, sobbing harder than you'd ever sobbed in your life.
"Yes it is. It's all my fault!" You yelled into his chest, your sobs now uncontrolling.
He hugged you tighter. "No it's not, Y/N. I promise." He whispered in your ear, kissing your neck lightly.
You thought not remembering him was bad, but this was much, much worse.
"I'm so sorry, Sebastian. I'm so, so sorry."
