Chris(tmas) Beck- Chris Beck
*EXTREME FLUFF*
(except for one Time Skip (maybe could be two?) and Mark flipping you off, but other than that it's all clean)
Imagine having Christmas with the crew of Ares 3 (and Chris being extremely adorable)
**above is necklace that Chris got you**
"Wake up! Wake up! It's Christmas!" You heard Johanssen yell throughout the spacecraft as you struggled to sit up. You heard a few other groans from your fellow crew members, but in all- you knew you all were excited. Just not at 8 a.m.
"C'mon, Y/L/N! Beck! Lewis! Watney! It's freaking Christmas!" The pitter-patter of Johanssen's light feet spread throughout the craft, making you chuckle to yourself. You stretched your arms and got up, exiting your bunk.
"Five more minutes," you heard Beck grumble from nearby. That made you smile. You two had gotten pretty close since the start of this mission. You had gotten pretty close with the rest of the crew, of course, but you and Chris were, what some would say, "besties." You often used that term around him, referencing him as your "bestie" just to annoy him. But he soon started calling you that, too. And you two officially started to annoy each other- in a friend way, of course.
You walked over to Beck's bunk and pulled back the curtain, revealing a very relaxed, muscular man with a blanket wrapped around his entire being. What a cutie.
"Bestie!" You whisper shouted at him. "C'mon! It's Christmas! And Santa probably came!" You giggled once you finished your last sentence.
"Santa's not real," Beck mumbled, curling up into his blanket even more.
You feigned shock. "What!?" You whisper shouted once again. "What do you mean, Santa's not real?"
Beck let out a groan in response. He turned over and looked at you. "Why must you torment me?" Beck asked with a half smile.
"IT'S CHRISTMAS!" You heard Johanssen yell from the other side of the craft, making you both laugh extremely hard. Clearly, the crew wasn't up to getting up at 8 a.m. But Johanssen didn't care. That was a characteristic you loved about her, and why she was a great friend to have.
Beck shuffled out of his cocoon and swung his legs over the bed. He yawned and brought his hand through his hair, looking at you with his puppy dog eyes. This is already an amazing Christmas.

Finally, the whole crew had arrived in your little couch area where Johanssen had put a paper tree. She had small gifts around the tree, and everyone put theirs under there as well.
"Well? Who's first!?" She asked excitedly.
Watney raised his hand. "Since I was the one stuck on Mars, I think that I should receive the first present," he commented with a witty, sarcastic tone. The crew laughed, including him. Beck leaned over you, just enough for you to get an amazing view of his little, perky butt, and handed Watney a gift.
Watney read the tag aloud. "To: Mark Wahlberg- I mean, Watney. Ha ha, very funny." He read in a sarcastic tone. Everyone laughed at Beck's choice of name-tag words. "From: Your Favorite, Sexy Doctor- Beck.' That's a little self-absorbent, huh Beck?" Once again everyone laughed. Beck smiled to himself and shrugged, a knowing smirk on his face.
Watney opened the gift to reveal a journal with a picture of Mars on it. Watney looked up to Chris with dead eyes. "I didn't know you were going to get stuck on Mars when I bought it, I swear." Beck held his hands up in defense. Watney rolled his eyes while you were laughing so hard that you had to lean on Chris' shoulder.
"Ok! Since I just went, with Chris' gift, that is, I now choose......Y/N to go next!" Mark beamed at you. You smiled and playfully rolled your eyes. Johanssen and Beck both handed you a gift at the same time. Then, they both awkwardly looked at each other, pulling the gifts back at the same time, laughing about it, and then Johanssen finally handing you her gift.
"You're gonna love it!" She said excitedly, her smile beaming from ear to ear. You opened it to reveal a picture frame. Actually, two-no, three- picture frames. All different sizes. And- pictures. There was a picture of the whole crew, a picture of you, Beck, and Johanssen all together, and then one of just you and Beck.
"How did you-" you began to ask when she cut you off.
"I may or may not have brought a photo-developing camera on here.....or maybe I didn't bring that but I brought a camera and a laptop to develop the photos....you all may never know." She said with a knowing smile. You smiled back at her, and showed the crew the photos. Each photo fit their appropriate frame perfectly. Coincidentally, the biggest photo and frame was the picture of you and Beck. You handed that photo to Chris, and while doing so you saw Johanssen wink at you. You rolled your eyes in response.
"Wow! This is...amazing, Beth. Our photo is especially amazing," he motioned to you during the last sentence.

After all the gifts had been opened, everyone went to go eat Christmas Morning Breakfast. You and Beck sat by each other and stayed in your own conversation. You had gotten Beck, since you thought he was an epic nerd when you first met him (which he still is,) a Star Trek Enterprise crew shirt (like the ones they wear in the movies) and he had gotten you little Dean & Sam bobblehead dolls, since he knew you liked Supernatural.
Now, you two were eating your breakfast in peace, talking of your childhoods and "bestie" stuff.
When you two were about done with your breakfast, he pulled something out of his pocket. It was a gift, in a small box form, with a silver bow on it. "As you can see, I have one final gift for you," he said, seriously. "But- there's only one condition." He handed you the box.
"And that is?" You asked curiously.
"Open it, first," he prompted, motioning for you to open it.
You raised one eyebrow at him, but continued to open it. You stuck the bow on his chest, which he smiled at. Inside the box was a silver necklace that had a flower type of look, with a flower on the inside as well. It was beautiful.
"Chris? Where-"
"Ah-ah-ah! No questions yet. It's not officially yours. Yet." He interrupted you. You raised both eyebrows at him in confusion. "And no, I didn't steal it." He said, wittily. "In order for this necklace to be yours, you have to say yes to this next question." He cleared his throat. "Y/F/N, would you, please, go on a date with me?" He asked, slight fear in his voice.
You stared into his eyes for a few seconds before launching yourself at him and bear hugging him, almost knocking him off of his chair. "Yes! Yes! Yes! Of course!" You yelled into his shoulder, most likely causing him to go deaf. He hugged you back and grabbed the small box from the table and took the necklace out, placing it around your neck.
"Jesus! Stop having sex over there! We're trying to eat, like civilized people," Mark yelled from the other room, leaning in the doorway. You buried your face in Beck's neck. Beck's back was to Watney, but his face was still turning a slight Crimson.
You leaned back, giggling slightly. "So, how does it look?" You asked Beck.
"Beautiful," he whispered, staring straight into your eyes. Something told you that he wasn't talking about the necklace, but instead you. You smiled to yourself, blushing in the process.
"But I'm not as beautiful as you," you declared back to him, making him giggle his adorably, adorable giggle. You don't know what took ahold of you, but you kissed him right then. You cupped his face in your hands and kissed him lightly, your lips barely touching. It's as if they were feathers.
When you pulled away, you stared into each other's eyes for a few seconds before hearing Watney hollering from the other room and clapping his hands. You both, once again, blushed and looked at Watney, which was a bit of a turn for Chris- but he managed. "Stop watching, you perv!" You yelled at Mark who then flipped you off. You and Chris both giggled.
"This, my dear, dear bestie, has been the best Christmas ever," Chris whispered before kissing you again, leaving you breathless.
"Indeed."
