Enchanted Forest
You were running through the forest at full speed, dodging every little thorn-filled plant as you made your way to behind a huge tree. You called this tree the Giving Tree, because you had lived off of its nurturing for so long. And it even gave you a good place to hide- or so you thought.
"Found you," your husband said as he rounded the tree, grabbing your arm and tugging you towards him.
You laughed while in his embrace, struggling to be let go so you could run once again.
"Jefferson," you smiled up at him. "I can't believe you found me." You leaned up and pecked him on the cheek.
"Well," he began. "This is where you hide almost every time." He raised his eyebrows at you.
You rolled your eyes at him and swatted his arm playfully. "You're so rude," you said, drawing the 'u.'
He smirked at you. "No, you're the rude one for looking that good in that dress," he said, stepping closer to you.
You began leaning in to him, him totally falling for it, and then you took off towards the cabin. You giggled on the way there. You heard him sigh behind you and then began to run. "This isn't over, Y/N!" He called to you as he followed.
Oh, but it was...
Storybrooke
Your POV
"Shit!" You said as you dropped a cup on the floor, breaking it and leaking the insides of it onto the wooden floor.
"Hey, no need for foul mouth in my diner, Ada," Granny said to you, pointing a finger at you.
"Sorry, Granny. I'll do better, I promise." You smiled at her and began cleaning up the cup remnants.
Ruby walked over to where you were crouched down with a broom. "I figured you'd want this," your best friend said, smiling down at you.
You smiled up at her and said, "Thanks, Ruby. I don't know where I'd be without ya."
**
"Ya know," Ruby began as you two were leaving the diner. "There's this great restaurant that just opened up towards the lake if you want to go," she said, motioning towards the lake.
You nodded and smiled. "Of course! It could be our new and improved girl-talk place," you said and giggled, as did she.
"Well, then what are we waiting for?" Ruby asked, motioning towards the restaurant once again.
You smiled and winked at her. "Race ya there," you called off as you sprinted towards the building.
"That's not fair," she called from behind you, running to the building, as well.
Finally, you reached the restaurant, nearly dodging a few pedestrians, including Regina.
Ruby soon reached you, stopping at the entrance alongside you.
You smiled at her. "It seems that I have won." You beamed at her.
She rolled her eyes and walked in the building, you following. "This isn't over yet, Ada," she called from in front of you, walking to the hostess to get some seats.
You paused on your way to her. Where did you know those words from? And why did they sound so...manly?
You shook your head and followed Ruby, sitting down at a table with her.
You looked at the menu, as did she. "What are you thinkin' about, Ada?" she asked, still looking at her menu.
"Please, elaborate," you said, looking up to her.
She looked up. "To eat?" she looked at you curiously, raising an eyebrow.
You shook your head and smiled. "Oh, duh. Yeah, um," you looked hardly at the menu. "Maybe a burger..they seem to have a low enough cost."
She smiled at you. "I think that I'll have the same."

"Ada, can you help me with one thing?" Mary Margaret asked you with pleading eyes.
You happily obliged, seeing that your friend needed help, and you got into her car.
"Thanks, Ada," she said, smiling at the road as she drove.
"Your welcome, Mary Margaret," you returned.
Upon arriving to the school, you noticed a particular student crying in the window. You frowned upon seeing this, and Mary Margaret so your look.
"That's exactly why we're here," she mumbled, getting out of her car. You followed.
"What's her name?" you asked, reaching the doors of the school.
"Paige," she answered, frowning. "And I just can't seem to make her smile."
You opened the doors. "Challenge accepted."
❦
"All better, Paige?" You asked, standing outside the school with the girl.
She nodded. "Yes, Ms. Whedon," she said, smiling at you.
You smiled back, alongside Mary Margaret, and said, "Well, I'm glad, Paige."
Jefferson's POV
I was sitting at a cafe across from the school, so I had a clear view of Grace, or Paige, when I saw her. No, them. Together.
I dropped my tea upon seeing the spectacle and stood up, my chair falling backwards as I did so. It landed on its back but I didn't even flinch, my eyes staying to Grace and Y/N.
"She's alive?" I whispered to myself, my face scrunching up in confusion.
Yes, oh yes, my dear Y/N was alive. And I was going to get her back, no matter the cost.
Your POV
You heard a shattering across the street and saw Jefferson, a man who everyone usually only saw in the shadows. You stared at him for quite a while, marveling at his stature, and then turned your attention back to Paige, flustered.
She saw your blushed face and leaned in and said, "You have a crush on him, don't you?" She smiled knowingly.
You blushed back. "Well, I've only seen him, Paige, but he hasn't seen me. So, yes, I do think that he is attractive but- wait, why am I telling you this again?" You giggled as did she.
She motioned for you to lean down and you did. She whispered in your ear, "I ship it," and then began skipping home.
You wore a confused look as Mary Margaret walked back to you, hanging up the phone call with Emma Swan.
"Why such a confused look, Ada?" She asked, wearing one as well.
You shook your head and sighed. "Kids." You shrugged your shoulders. "So confusing."

Jefferson's POV
My plan was now set. I was going to get my Y/N back.
I paced my living room before settling on walking to the forest, preparing my acting skills for a limped leg, the same I did for Emma Swan. Except, the only difference, was my wife. She was alive.
Your POV
You got into your car and started heading for the good cafe, which was placed oddly away from the rest of the town. Odd.
You looked down to check your phone and then looked back up to see a man. Swerving your car quickly, you didn't hit him. But, he did throw himself out of the way. Shit.
"Shit! I'm so sorry, erm, whom ever you are," you said, getting out of your car and going to help the stranger.
He stood up and you recognized the face.
"Jefferson?" You asked, recalling the man that you had marveled at from afar.
He seemed shocked to say the least and then gained composure. "Hello, Y/-, I mean, Ada," he said, walking up to you and limping.
"How did you know my- nevermind, you're limping! I'm so sorry," you confessed, covering your mouth with your hands.
He shrugged it off. "I'm fine, really. It's just, I may need a ride home if you don't mind." He smiled at you.
You nodded your head, opening the passenger side door for him.
"That's the least I could do for making you limp, Jefferson," you said.
He got in the car, as did you, and you were on your way.
Upon reaching a huge mansion, he signaled for you to stop.
"This is where you live?" You asked, looking up at the building from your car. "Your family must be huge."
He stepped out of the car, limping. "Nope, just me." He hobbled up the stairs and you followed, helping him.
"Thank you for helping me, Ada. It means so much to me. And I'm sorry, Ada," he said, giving you puppy dog eyes.
"What are you sorry for, Jefferson?" You asked, confused.
"This," he said and he covered your mouth with this hand, silencing your screams and stopping your breath.
Eventually, after struggling, your breath gave out and you fell limp in his arms.
❦
You awoke on a couch, no bondage or anything. You were in a beautifully designed living room, the furniture going well with the walls and ceiling. In other words, everything matched ever so elegantly. Who was your captor, again?
You looked to your right and saw a man, Jefferson, sitting on the couch opposite yours.
"I'm sorry, Y/N," he mumbled, looking down.
You wore a confused look. "What do you mean? And don't call me Y/N. My name is Ada," you huffed out, hugging your frame.
He sighed, walking to sit next to you. "No, your name is Y/N. You are my wife. We aren't from here, and neither is Grace, our daughter. But in this world, her name is Paige."
"The girl I was helping today is not my daughter. I would remember my own kid. And my own husband," you said, looking at him as if he just assassinated the president.
He shook his head. "No, she's our daughter. And I'm your husband, Y/N. I can prove it," he said and he leaned in, kissing your lips feverishly.
You gasped in response and then gave in, the man you had marveled for so long finally kissing you. But for a very wrong and crazy reason.
Suddenly, you started experiencing these weird dreams during the kiss. An image of Jefferson in weird clothes along with Grace next to him flashed in your mind, along with many others.
He pulled back and you remembered everything. "Jefferson," you sighed, grabbing his face and kissing him again.
Into the kiss, he said, "Wait. Do you remember, Ada-"
"I'm Y/N, you doof. Don't call me Ada ever again."
He sighed into the kiss and moaned, as did you.
"Thank God you're back, Y/N. I thought you were dead. And Grace-"
"Shh, baby. One step at a time," you soothed, rubbing his hair lightly.
He smiled back. "I love you, Y/N."
"I love you too, Jefferson." You leaned in and kissed him again. "And now we can make up for all that time that we lost."
So sorry that this took so long! It took way longer than expected just because I procrastinated and because of school. Also I've been writing more of His Game which I hope will be pretty good. Who knows. But in other news, my tooth just randomly started bleeding.
