□■ Drabble : All (?) ■□
Bucky
You unlocked your apartment door like any other day, the analog clock hanging in the hallway striking four o'clock, just like it always did when you finally got home from work. You opened the door and went straight to your shower, turning the water on hot. With a sigh, a quick shower, and a change of clothes, you were in bed by 5, wanting to sleep but being unable to, just like any other day.
Your mom had said it was unhealthy, the way you were living. You weren't sleeping, food was unappealing, you were loosing weight too fast. You knew it was unhealthy. You knew you were spiraling a bit. But, you knew you needed to keep your mind focused on your job- you were so close to the promotion you had been working years for.
So you continued to slug down the hallway to your apartment, the clock reading 3:58 as you found the keys in your purse. You glanced to your right, doing a double take as you saw the formerly vacant room next to you sitting there with it's door wide open. You looked up and down the halls, your eyebrows furrowed.
Cautiously, you took a few steps closer, poking your head into the room, seeing the back of a man unloading a box.
"Knock knock?" You said, rapping your knuckles on the doorframe. His head whipped around in surprise, a small smile spreading along his features as he stood, wiping his palms on his jeans.
"Hey there." He breathed out, taking a few steps closer. His boot clad feet clicked on the hardwood, stepping through the maze of boxes and furniture.
"Um, I'm (Y/N). I live next door." You explained, pointing a thumb over your shoulder.
If you were being completely honest with yourself, you found this man attractive. He had longer brown hair, a scruffy chin, and bright blue eyes. And his jaw- it could cut diamonds.
"Name's James." He said, an unmistakable Brooklyn accent in his speech. He held out his hand, to which you shook gently. "You can call me Bucky, if you'd like."
"Nice to meet you." You smiled. "Is there anything you need help with?"
"I couldn't ask you to do a thing, doll." He chuckled. "I'll be alright. Thanks for introducing yourself to me."
"Of course, James." You paused. "Well, I hope to see you around. I'm going to finish my work."
"Of course, hope to see you soon." He smiled brightly, making your heart race. You gave him a small wave as you left, rushing to unlock your door.
Once it was shut behind you, your hand came to rest on your heart, your knees giving out and your body sliding to the floor.
What a man.
Sebastian
You were laying on the couch with your head in his lap, watching some Friends reruns. His hand ran aimlessly through your hair, making your eyelids heavy.
"Mmmm, Seb?" You hummed, cuddling into him further.
"Yes, love?" He replied, his eyes flickering down to you.
"I'm about to fall asleep."
"We can head to bed, if you'd want." He offered. You looked into his eyes, smiling and nodding sleepily. He chuckled at your expression and scooped you up, carrying you like a princess to your bedroom.
"I love you, Sebastian." You said, burying your face in his chest.
"I love you too, (Y/N)."
Jefferson
"Stop there!" You shouted, chasing after the cackling man. Tree branches whipped past your head, catching on the fabric of your sleeves and skirt, tearing the cloth. You ignored it, however, and continued to chase the man.
He looked back at you for a moment, a shit-eating grin on his face before his foot caught on a tree root, sending him face first into the ground, his top hat flying a few feet away. He let out a rather loud 'oomph', turning onto his back groggily. You took the chance to pin him down, your legs straddling him as you held his arms. A small scratch on your cheekbone began to bleed as you caught your breath.
"Seems as though you've caught me." He said, looking into your eyes.
"Seems as though." You deadpanned. "Now give it back."
"What back?" He asked innocently, a painfully fake confusion showing on his features.
"The coin, you idiot." You snapped, releasing his wrists so he could grab it. He sighed, rolling his eyes and reaching into his coat pocket, pulling out a small burlap pouch. You snatched for it, but he pulled it away before you could reach it.
"Now, I could keep this, and get paid quite fairly, or I could give it to you. Can I have a reason to choose the latter?" He asked, that smirk returning.
"Does living sound like a good enough reason?" You sassed, earning a small chuckle from him.
"You couldn't hurt me if you tried."
"Oh yeah?" You lowered your face until it was inches from his. "How about that girl of yours? Your daughter? Is she as strong as you?" You whispered dangerously. Anger flashed in his eyes, and in a moment you were pinned to a tree, his forearm over your neck.
"Don't you fucking dare talk about my daughter." He seethed. You remained stoic.
"All I ask for is the coin, Hatter."
He released you, taking a few deep breaths.
"What happened to you?!" He suddenly shouted. "What happened to good times?!"
You were shocked for a moment, but was quick to shout back. "Good times?! Yeah right! Want to know what happened?! You did!"
He scoffed, picking up his hat and putting it back on his head. "Me, huh?" He said calmly. "Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but you were doing the exact thing I was. This. This whole 'steal for money' shit. You've been doing it just as long as I have."
"I'm aware." You spat. "But I never thought you of all people would try to ruin it for me."
"Ruin it? I was doing as I was told!"
"Well, so was I!"
He was silent, looking over your features. His eyebrows furrowed as his mind pondered a new possibility.
"Were we set up?" He asked quietly. "Were we plotted against each other?"
You thought about it, but shook your head, clearing your mind of the thought.
"No." You insisted. "Every time I was given a task, you'd swoop in to get it first. That is what happened. End of story." Your eyes flickered to the pouch in his hand.
You quickly snatched it, his eyes flickering to you as you did, but his body making no moves to get it back.
"Goodbye." You said turning to walk away. But, before you could leave, he took a hold of your arm, spinning you around and crashing his lips onto yours. You fought it at first, but melted into his embrace. It made you remember the times before the fights over missions, before you accepted the job as a collecter and portal jumper as well. It made you miss him.
"Jefferson." You sighed, pulling away.
"What?" He asked. "Could you forgive me if I forgave you?"
You looked into his eyes, those sad eyes you'd once loved. And you said the word you never thought you would ever say.
"Yes."
Bucky
You popped a slice of bread into the toaster, but we're distracted before you were able to start it, seeing as to how you were spun around to see your boyfriend smiling down at you.
"Morning, Bucky." You smiled. He leaned down and kissed you softly.
"Morning." He said huskily against your lips. Your hands found his waist as his lips rejoined yours, kissing you until you were dizzy.
It all happened so fast, and you were soon sitting on the counter as he mumbled things in Russian against your neck, leaving kisses in between words.
Then you heard someone clear their throat.
You immediately pushed Bucky away, a bright red blush covering your face.
"Really?" Natasha asked. "You're asking her to marry you here?"
Now Bucky was blushing, a smirk tilting your lips. Here you thought he was saying unrepeatable words, when actually he was spilling his heart out, which is totally unfair.
So I found this. Apparently I never published it. The last one is based off a head cannon on pintrest
