CHAPTER - 6
Pali - Back in KGF
The door bust open as the men turned their heads towards it with annoyance that it was Virat, only for their jaw dropped at seeing who's the real person was.
- Rocky.
Rocky swiftly moved towards the big throne as the four stood their in shock. He bowed down to and spoke in a deep voice which sent shivers down the guards as well as the rest who were present.
Rocky - Dear lord! Let no more lives be lost for the sake of this throne...
An eerie silence took over the surrounding as the atmosphere tensed after Rocky's words.
Guru Pandian shot a confused glance at Rocky while Andrews and Daya glanced at each other not believing the person in front of them. Kamal gritted his teeth as he glared at him.
Rocky sat down the throne with one leg crossing the other and looked at the men standing around.
Guru Pandian looked over to Daya as Daya leaned towards his ear and whispered.
Daya - That's Rocky.....The one who killed Garuda.
Rocky - Eh!! Please sit down. It's enough if you have respect and fear within you.
Everyone took their seats as Rocky continued.
Rocky - All are ONE!
Andrews - Virat?
Rocky sighed after Andrews said Virat's name and kept a hand on his temple.
Rocky - Viraat...Viratt.....I killed him. Such pity right? Gone too soon!
The atmosphere grew colder rather opposite to the fire lanterns beside them.
Rocky - Same goes with that Desai.
Andrews and Kamal's eyes widened as Kamal stood and slammed the table in anger.
Kamal - What the hell did you say you did?
He yelled while Andrews quietly took his seat back when he realized Rocky's eyes darkening.
Rocky - Sit back down now, I'll come to that point soon...You have established a fantastic council here.
He continued even though his voice contained a hint of anger.
Rocky - Hey! Why are you all so gloomy? Don't worry, you are in safe hands. I'm new to the place, but not to the field. I will ensure that your company progresses, that's why I got rid of small pests like Virat and Desai.
He smirked and continued.
Rocky - Nothing much is needed from you all. Just your cooperation, support and blessings....Three's enough.
Kamal - Hey! Do you think it's a game of Kho-Kho to switch positions at will?
Andrews shot a nervous glance when Rocky looked up and down at Kamal who's still furious of what Rocky did to his love's family.
Kamal - To safeguard and continue our rich family, our legacy built over generations is why we are all born. Not to let an outsider like you to take control.
Rocky scoffed.
Rocky - Nepotism......What has happened to our country? Rampant recommendation, donation, domination, influence, bribe.....What should the poor kids do?
Rocky's voice cracked through the tension in the room, sharp and searing.
Rocky - Is there no place for toppers, non-corrupt and the hard-working people....What should the person do who single-handedly chopped the head off!
His fists slammed onto the table, the sound reverberating like a thunderclap. The room fell silent. He leaned forward, his jaw tight, teeth gritted as if holding back a storm. The fire in his eyes burned brighter as he straightened.
Rocky - MERIT! Am here only on merit! I deserve some respect don't I?
He spat the word like a challenge, his voice lowering but losing none of its venom. He paused, letting the weight of his words hang heavy in the air before his lips curled into a bitter smile.
Rocky - Your parents may have stashed away enough wealth to drown a kingdom, but they made one mistake. Just one.
Rocky shifted his stance, his glare piercing through them like a blade. His voice, now calm but razor-sharp, delivered the final blow.
Rocky - They gave birth to you in my lifetime. I shall keep on ruling and you shall watch me rule.
Rocky rose from his seat with deliberate calm, the scrape of his chair against the floor slicing through the room's heavy silence.
His eyes shifted to Reena, taking in her disheveled state, her labored breaths. Then, his gaze moved to Andrews and Kamal, who stood frozen in disbelief.
Rocky - Oh yeah.....Forgot to introduce her existence...You really thought I would let my prey die for nothing.
Rocky's voice was low, dripping with menace. His eyes darted to Reena, his smirk returning like a predator savoring the moment before the kill.
Rocky - Am I right, Shona?
Reena swallowed hard, her knees trembling as she struggled to stay upright. The guards behind her shifted uncomfortably, clearly uneasy under the weight of the room's growing tension.
Kamal's voice cracked as he pointed at Reena, his face pale.
Kamal - H....How is she alive? What kind of game are you playing?
Rocky chuckled, a sound that felt out of place amidst the chaos. He moved toward Reena, each step measured and deliberate.
Rocky - Alive?
He repeated, mock amusement dancing in his tone.
Rocky - You think I let her live out of mercy?
He stopped in front of Reena, leaning in just enough for his voice to be a whisper.
Rocky - To have her for myself.....
He began, his tone smooth yet piercing.
Rocky - Here in KGF.....For safety shona....
Reena stiffened, her fists clenching as she glared at him, but Rocky was unfazed.
Rocky - These are dangerous people.....
He continued, his breath close enough that she could feel the weight of his words.
Rocky - They'd tear you apart if I let you out there. But that's not all...
He paused, straightening and casting a glance at Andrews and Kamal, who were watching with disbelief and fury etched on their faces. Then, his smirk returned, more unsettling than ever.
Rocky - Entertainment...
He added, his voice dripping with a mix of mockery and cruel honesty.
Rocky - I'm going to rule this whole kingdom, and someone needs to keep me entertained. Isn't that right?......You are my entertainment shona..
Reena's eyes burned with anger as she looked at him with nothing but hate and resentment, the will to kill him.
Kamal - HEY! Stop this! You seem to have a big ego! I have been watching you from that time....You are spitting nothing but nonsense! How dare you insult my girl in my presence!
Kamal shot to his feet, slamming the table with such force that the chair behind him toppled over. Andrews held Kamal's hand, trying to stop him before anything happens.
Andrews - Kamal, what are you doing? Sit down...
Kamal - Is she your entertainment? You are crossing the limits-
He shouted, his voice echoing through the room. His voice was venomous, each word dripping with fury as Andrews grabbed his arm in a desperate attempt to hold him back.
Andrews - Please Kamal...Sit down..
But Kamal yanked his arm free, his rage unrelenting. Kamal ignored him, his focus fixed entirely on Rocky
Kamal - Hey! Do you even know your worth?
He sneered, his voice biting.
Kamal - Living off the pittance you earned as a shoe polished in Bombay slums-
Daya - Kamal...Please stop...
Andrews - Sit down...What are you doing?
Kamal - That! That is your true worth! He's ruling over us today because you stopped me that day. Don't touch me!
Kamal - People must be shown their right place. Now you have let a stray dog take over the throne. I am going to kill him today.
The room froze as Kamal's words echoed, and all eyes turned to Rocky.
His expression darkened, his smirk gone, replaced by a cold, terrifying calm as he stared Kamal down.
The silence was suffocating. Then, Rocky's gun sound broke through, low and lethal.
Kamal collapsed to the side, clutching his ear as a sharp cry of pain escaped his lips, blood streaming through his fingers. The crimson stain spread rapidly, pooling beneath him as he groaned in agony.
The room erupted in chaos. Andrews and Daya shot to their feet, their chairs screeching against the floor.
Rocky remained rooted in place, his gaze cold and unflinching, as though nothing had happened. He adjusted his cuff calmly, his demeanor unnervingly composed.
Rocky - Where was I?
His eyes locked onto Reena, a sinister smirk playing on his lips, he drawled, his tone chillingly nonchalant.
Rocky - Ah!!! Entertainment...You are my entertainment love.....Come one let's go.
His words were like daggers, slicing through the tension in the room. He turned, gesturing for her to follow, utterly indifferent to Kamal writhing on the floor, clutching his bleeding ear, his groans fading into the background noise.
Reena's gaze flickered to Kamal, her expression torn between fury and desperation. Her body moved instinctively toward him.
Andrews - Hey! Don't touch her.
He yelled , but before she could take a step, the cold, metallic sound of guns being cocked filled the air.
Rocky - Whoa whoa! They are all partners....If none of them survive, how will I get the business done?
Reena froze, her breath hitching as she glared at them. Her heart pounded, but her defiance didn't waver. She turned back to Rocky, her voice trembling with restrained rage.
Reena - You're heartless....He's dying...
Rocky paused mid-step, glancing over his shoulder at her.
Rocky - Dying?
He repeated, his voice carrying a mockery that cut deep.
Rocky - He's just learning his lesson...
He tilted his head, his smirk returning.
Rocky - And so are you. Let's not waste time, bring her.
The weight of Rocky's presence hung heavily in the room as Reena reluctantly moved with the guards, her gaze lingering on Kamal, whose groans of pain filled the tense silence.
Rocky turned toward the door, his steps measured, but he halted abruptly as Andrews's voice cut through the air like a blade.
Andrews - We created a Rocky to kill Garuda... Is it so difficult for us to create another Rocky to kill you?
Rocky froze for a moment before turning his head slightly, his smirk returning, slow and menacing. His voice was deliberate, every word laced with chilling certainty.
Rocky - Even my father couldn't create another Rocky...
He paused, letting the weight of his words settle over them.
Rocky - It's impossible for anyone. One and only piece!
The room seemed to hold its breath as Rocky adjusted his jacket, his smirk deepening.
He pulled out his sunglasses, slipping them on with an air of finality, his confidence unshakable.
Without another glance, he strode out the door, his footsteps echoing ominously, leaving behind a silence that screamed louder than any words.
As Kamal's bloodied form was carried away by Andrews' men, Andrews, Daya, and Guru Pandian stood in somber silence, their eyes fixed on the retreating figure.
The tension in the air was palpable, the weight of their predicament sinking in. Guru Pandian broke the silence, his voice calm but sharp, each word carrying a hint of rebuke.
Guru Pandian - You reared a snake to chase the rats out of the house....
He began, his gaze shifting toward Andrews. He took a step closer, his tone deepening with emphasis.
Guru Pandian - That too a king cobra...Now! It's your turn to move out. Hope you have made other arrangements.
Without waiting for a response, Guru Pandian turned on his heel and walked away, his footsteps echoing as he disappeared into the shadows.
Daya and Andrews remained, their expressions grim, the echo of Guru Pandian's words lingering like a dark omen.
. . . . . . . .
The footsteps echoed across the platform in Pali's mansion as Aadhya finally caught up to Rocky who was standing near the porch watching Reena boarding the private plane.
Aadhya - I didn't know how it happened.....She escaped....I couldn't hold her back...I....I..
Rocky's frustration flared in his eyes as he shot her a glare.
Rocky - You think failure is an excuse? You had one job.....ONE JOB Aadhya! One simple job. To keep her locked up. To keep everyone believing she's dead. And you failed.
He barked as she bit her lips, knowing that she messed up real bad.
Aadhya - I really didn't mean to. The minute I got there she was already in the-
Rocky - You think I don't know what I told you, huh? You think I don't know the rules I set?
He said cutting her off in frustration and stepped up closer to her.
Rocky - I told you to keep her hidden. To keep her quiet. And what do you do? You let her escape, and you bring her right to me. Now they know. The others know she's still breathing!
Aadhya shifted her ground, trying to hold her ground despite her brother's anger. No matter who she is even if she is his own blood sister, he would do anything to the person who disobeys his words.
Aadhya - I really didn't know she would do that. She said she just wanted some air so I let her outside-
Rocky - No. What's too risky is you thinking you can do what you want.
He pauses for a moment, staring at her, before adding in a quieter, yet still threatening tone.
Rocky - And You! I told you not to come here. I told you nobody knows I have a sister. You know what happens when people start knowing too much. You made a mistake, Aadhya.
Aadhya - You think I don't know that? I know what's at stake, but you can't just keep pushing me away, keeping me in the dark like I'm some outsider! You told me to keep Reena hidden, but we both know why you really want her alive. It's not just about control—
Rocky - Don't pretend like you understand this. You know nothing about what it takes to rule this place. You were supposed to follow orders, Aadhya. You were supposed to be my ally. But instead, you've gone against everything I told you. You let her go. You let her think she can come back and threaten everything I've built.
He gritted his teeth in frustration but regained his posture when he realized Aadhya bitting her lips so damn hard.
Rocky - You're my sister, but I can't afford mistakes like this....not anymore. It's my fault for letting you in charge....I should've told Farmaan to do it. Get in the plane! NOW!
The room grows thick with tension as Aadhya stands there, not moving, her mind racing. She looked at the disappearing figure of Rocky's as she cursed Reena for not obeying her words.
