The 'Magic' of Christmas Eve
Humongous trees, tough as leather,
With sylphlike branches stripped of leaves,
Are enveloped in snow falling from the ether
As flour cascades through holes of sieves.
Children play with heaps of snow
Spread across yards and driveways of homes,
Artistically creating snowmen and more
Sculptures, produced as their imagination roams.
An imagination, that flurries like the winter breeze,
That conjures up Christmastime fairytales for thee
And thy children, who skip and hop, busy as bumblebees,
For they plan, play and prepare with soaring Christmas glee.
After the sun sets, painting the yonder midnight blue,
Friends and families convene to toast, laugh and weave
A fairy handkerchief shimmering with joy and love that rings true
Decorating the hearts of well-wishers on this beautiful Christmas Eve.
