#2 - Snowflakes - A Winter's Tale

The maple has lost its red
it's spread out in the snow,
the ginkgo gold has already frozen
in rigid waves on the lake.
The birch leaves do not want to leave
so leans heavily the tender branch
and only the fir tree carries almost stoic
the white load that fell early.
From so high up and yet so close like dots big and small,
comes floating silently joyful happiness and love therefore.
Single and paired breathe down,
the thinnest branches are feathered over,
the smallest cracks, trusting and becomes optimistic
easy to difficult, small to big.
Swinging slightly over the meadow a
snowflake. Who knows where free your
thoughts, prance wrapped in snow and
disappear again like the flake.
The snow lies wonderfully on the wide field.
Wonderful to wade through the first lane.
The wind blows around your ears;
wonderful, everything is frozen over.
