Basically, My First Ever DnD Session:
<My bff's fam invited me and another family friend to join in their campaign. I agreed, but the other family friend couldn't make it ;-;>
Jaylyn(lawful-good wizard), my character and the princess of this land, sneaks off on behalf of her parents to solve an "urgent thing" called in by an important figure named Lord Casor in the nearby town(close to Jaylyn's mansion).
She meets up with him, but he doesn't trust her. He's conflicted, wondering why the princess was there and not her parents.
Jaylyn addresses that she is more than capable of handling any issue.
Lord Casor tells her that it isn't just an issue, it is something of the arcane. Magical.
Jaylyn, a wizard, claims that she can solve magic things even better than normal things.
Casor gives in and trusts her, seeing the knowledge of the arcane to be a vital tool, then leads her down a dungeon-like staircase, into a food storage.
There is a cage.
Jaylyn moves the lanturn from the ceiling to see the creature, but it doesn't respond.
Lord Casor explains that this thing was found attacking a person, around the scene of where the missing people of the town have been reported to have lived.
It snaps at her once she reaches her hand into the cage, trying to bite her.
Jaylyn sees that it has some kind of poisonous-looking saliva and keeps away from it, pulling away just in time.
After a while of trying to talk to the creature, it starts copying her movements.
Jaylyn tells Lord Casor she will pick it up, now that it is holding its hands up like a child that wants to be held.
Casor asks if there is anyone Jaylyn could call upon to watch over her as he leaves the room, not wanting her to be alone with that... thing..
Jaylyn called upon Shandy, a neautral-good warrior pirate with much experience in fighting and protecting.
They argue about the creature.
Jaylyn screams a lot at Shandy.
Shandy says logic.
Jaylyn is stupid and still wants to pick up the monster, now revealed to be a kind of high-level-wizard's soul companion monster thing (usually no bigger than a squirrel, but this one was pretty huge! About the size of a 7-years-old child).
They finally decide to take it to a holy place, where someone of great experience is.
Que, chaotic-good paladin named Aspin.
Though, when they get there, they see not just Aspin but also Jaylyn's chaotic-good rogue/ranger named Parke(class got mixed up on accident, things went wrong on the sheet-)!
Parke is the big gay for Jaylyn.
They decide to take the creature out of the cage, but it bursts out on its own and launches itself at Jaylyn, who opens her arms willingly to hug it like a child.
Well, it wanted to bite Jaylyn, and it did. She gets poisoned and screeches that "the world is dancing!!" because of how nauseous she gets from that.
Parke gets all protective of the princess and takes out her bow, firing an arrow at Cricket- but it misses!
The paladin freaking casts some kind of spell that BLOWS CRICKET UP AND THE BUG PARTS GO EVERYWHERE-
Jaylyn cries because Cricket is dead, even though it had bitten and tried to kill her.
Parke pats the princess on the back, reassuringly.
The four player characters continue off to the forest to find out more about who had created Cricket and where the missing people have gone.
They walk into the forest, Parke carrying Jaylyn on her shoulders, but not two seconds of stepping past the stone path into dirt.. they see a fire from the temple.
They rush to the holy place to find five of the missing people holding torches and trying to burn the place down.
Normal people are watching from safe distances, unable to do anything about this.
Parke rushes in and attacks two of the people, though only hits one with the back of her sword as she doesn't want to kill anyone.
The attacked one gets knocked out INSTANTLY(natural 20)!
Jaylyn runs at one of the others, but that person runs right back at her. Jay tries to talk to the person, but it's as if they're being mind-controlled.. she gets hit hard against the head with the torch, pretty close to death with her hit points.
Shandy runs to go assist the princess, but is cutt off by the last two people. He frikin' ALMOST MURDERS one of the dudes with one blow of his mighty sword-
Aspin runs up to help Shandy take out the other person, but is too much in shock of how Shandy just basically killed someone, to do so.
Parke flat-out knocks the other person she is fighting out.
Jaylyn and her enemy are tugging at the torch, trying to gain control over who holds it, who wins, etc. The enemy throws a punch at Jaylyn, but she dodges her head to the side and the punch just barely misses. So close- oh geez!
Shandy knocks his other enemy with ease, using the back of his sword.
Aspin casts medicine on the dieing man, he is now alive but knocked out.
Parke turns around and runs at Jaylyn's enemy, to save the princess!!! Gay and stuff!!
The enemy notices Parke and lets Jaylyn have the torch, turning to face the new enemy and trying not to get stabbed.
Well, uh, Jaylyn panicked and WACKED the person in the side of the head and they spun around three times from the force before falling to the ground defeated.
Jaylyn gasps and almost screams at what whe had done, but Shandy is just laughing so hard at what had just happened to Jaylyn.
Four more people approach from the direction of the forest, all are also people who had been reported missing. Each of them carry torches in their dominant hands and are probably also being controlled..
Jaylyn hides behind Parke; Aspin, basically a detective at this point, realizes that the forest may have some connection to the disappearances. Yes, exactly, that could be it!- also that everyone who had gone missing weren't 100% important, but were side to the important ones.
Such as a princess is to a queen, or a stunt double is to the main actor.
<That's what happened! It'll continue another day ;0;>
