Amy Rose woke up the next morning from a very good rest at 11 o'clock. She sat up on her bed and carefully crept out of her room to avoid waking up her sleeping friend Cream. She made her way downstairs and saw Vanilla already awake.

"Hello Amy! Did you get a good rest last night?" She asked the hedgehog.

"Yes! How about you?"

"Yes, I did as well. I'm making breakfast right now, it'll be done shortly. Could you wake up Cream for me?"

"Of course!"

"Thank you."

Amy walked back to her room and shook her friend gently.

"Hey Cream, wake up." Amy told her friend. Her friend slowly opened her eyes and sat up. Amy walked over to her side of the room they shared and grabbed her two bags full of the things she needed.

"Good morning, Amy!" Cream smiled at her friend.

"Good morning, Cream. Let's head downstairs, breakfast is almost ready." Amy informed her friend.

"Okay!"

They walked to the kitchen and sat down at the table. Vanilla walked over and sat down two plates for the girls and they started to eat.

"Thank you!" They both said.

"You're welcome, girls." Vanilla replied to them as she grabbed her own plate and sat down with them.

They ate breakfast together and talked for a bit until it was time for Amy to leave the house.

"Okay, goodbye!" Amy waved to them as she ran out of the house.

"Bye Amy! Please stay safe!" Cream waved back at her.

"She'll be okay, Cream. Don't worry." Vanilla reassured her daughter.

Amy ran down the sidewalk, excited to begin her journey around the world. She ran up to Scourge who was already waiting for her and smiled. Her bracelet and his sunglasses began to glow again, but they ignored it this time.

"You ready?" Amy asked him.

"I can't believe I agreed to this." Scourge muttered as he nodded.

"Okay, let's go then!" Amy announced. They began to walk down the sidewalk.

"We're going to my house to pick up my motorcycle, okay? Then we hit the road, and you tell me if your bracelet glows or if you need anything." Scourge stated his plan.

"I've got bags, and I'm sure you have stuff you need to bring as well..." Amy said.

"Okay, fine. We'll take my car." Scourge frowned.

"Okay!" Amy agreed to it and smiled.

They walked down the sidewalk and took turns around corners as they walked until they reached the green hedgehogs home. He ran inside and came out with his own luggage and car keys. He opened up the trunk and they put their stuff in there.

"I call shotgun!" Amy told him.

"We have to take turns driving, you know. To save time."

"Um... Nevermind. I don't want to drive at night." Amy responded nervously.

"Okay, you're driving first." Scourge unlocked his car doors and opened one of the doors. He sat down in the front passenger seat and slammed the door shut.

Amy walked over to the drivers car door and opened it. She sat down next to the other hedgehog and slammed the door shut.

"Hold on." Scourge told her. She nodded and waited patiently. 

Scourge pulled his phone out and opened up a GPS app.

"I'll set the first location to a nearby well-populated area." Scourge stated as he set the location and set his phone down on the middle console area of the car.

"Okay..." Amy responded. Scourge handed her the car keys and she started up the car. She backed out of his driveway and drove off, following the directions the GPS app on the phone gave her.

They kept on driving through the streets and entering other towns, exiting the car every now and then and walking around. They found no one else who made either accessory glow, and they continued this process.

"We should stop to get some food..." Amy said to the other hedgehog. He nodded in agreement and they pulled over at a fast-food place.  They stepped out of the car and locked the doors. Amy looked up at the sighed at the sight of the sign. 

"Rouge's Treat?" Scourge questioned the sign.

"My friend works here. Let's hope she doesn't say anything stupid though..." Amy thought to herself about the possibilities.

"Why?" Scourge asked her. She just shook her head, and they walked into the building. There was Rouge, right at the front counter waiting for an order. The bat smiled at the sight of Amy but then smiled even more when she say Scourge. "Why is she smiling?"

"Oh no..." Amy mumbled to herself as they walked up to her to place an order.

"Hey Amy! You've got a boyfriend?!? Aw! Your accessories are even glowing, you're meant to be!" Rouge jumped and down while Scourge realized why Amy was afraid of entering the building. He just shook his head and sighed.

"We're just friends, Rouge. We're traveling the world to find my true love." Amy told her.

"But he might be your true love!"

"I doubt it..."

"Okay, okay. Did you know that my earrings glow when I'm around Knuckles though?" Rouge asked her friend with a smirk.

"Oh my gosh, really?" Amy smiled at her friend, hearing the news.

"Can we order already?" Scourge complained.

"Okay, okay. What can I get you two hedgies?" Rouge stopped her gossip. 

Scourge growled at what Rouge called him while Amy placed an order for them both.

"Hope you like cheeseburgers." Amy said as they sat down at a table.

"I do... But I don't like what Rouge called me." Scourge told her.

"You get used to it."

"Whatever."

Soon enough, the order was ready and Amy walked over to pick it up. She walked back to the table and set the huge tray of food down. They began to eat their food.

"So... You excited to find your true love?" Amy asked him.

"Eh... I don't think I have one." Scourge answered her.

"Oh... Well, I believe you do!" Amy smiled.

"I don't."

"Everyone has a perfect significant other for them!"

"What if the population is an odd number?"

"It keeps on changing everyday! That doesn't matter."

"I guess. Although I don't like that bat girl at all, I have to admit the food's pretty good."

"You got that right! Rouge is great at her job!" Amy beamed with joy.

"Okay, time to get back on the road. It's getting late so I'll take my turn now." Scourge informed her.

"Okay!"

They threw out their leftovers and walked outside to the car. They opened the car doors and sat back down in the new seats. Scourge started up the car and began to drive down the road.

"Wow, I'm tired." Amy stated.

"Already?"

"Yeah."

"Wow... I'm a night owl." Scourge stated.

"I'm an early bird." Amy responded.

"Good. When I'm asleep, you're awake."

"Yep! Good night." Amy began to adjust her current position in the front passenger seat and fell asleep shortly after the adjustment.

"Good night then. How can someone even do that?" Scourge asked himself as he continued driving, wondering how anyone could even fall asleep so quickly.
