"Where HAVE you been?!" Daisy demanded the moment the animals entered Max and Duke's apartment. Hu was by her side, looking delighted to see everyone. Daisy, on the other paw, clearly wasn't pleased and she was glaring at Snowball. Everyone else backed away from the rabbit. Rubbing his arm nervously, Snowball stuttered, "Eh, hey Daisy-"

"You were supposed to be watching Hu! I came home from the vet today to find him all alone! It's a good thing Duke stepped up in your place!" Daisy barked angrily at Snowball. Despite everything the rabbit put him through that day, Max was afraid his friend was about to get his head chewed off. Stepping forward, the Jack Russell terrier chimed in, "Sorry Daisy, we got caught by Gary."

"Yeah, I was trying to get Hu chicken nuggets. He really likes those," Snowball added with a small smile. Eyeing the pair warily, Daisy murmured, "Alright. But you owe me Snowball." Throwing an arm over the Shih Tzu's shoulders, the white bunny rabbit remarked, "How's a lovely lunch in the park sound?" Giggling, Daisy replied, "Oh, I can't stay mad at you forever."

"Unlike the rest of us, Max," Chloe grumbled, directing her statement towards the Jack Russell terrier she had pointedly named out of spite. A shocked look coming over his face, Max yelped, "Why am I being targeted now?!"

"Chloe, now is not the time or place," Gidget whispered to the tabby cat, almost begging the feline to keep her mouth shut. However, Pops decided to join in the conversation, "Now look Tiny Dog, I know it's not your fault but you need to stop getting lost all the time. I'm getting too old to go save your tail."

"I don't get lost all the time," Max scoffed. There was no response to his comment. Looking around the room, the terrier noticed all of the other pets were refusing to meet his gaze. Growing concerned, Max dared to ask, "Do I really wind up lost all the time?"

"YES!" everyone shouted.
