Chapter 4: Sealed with a Kiss - Part 2

The World Over Yonder was like nothing Heather had ever imagined. Feudal Japan met supernatural fever dream - paper lanterns floating without strings, yokai wandering everywhere, the sky a shimmering purple that defied reality.

"Welcome!" Onikiri and Kotetsu chirped, their masked faces radiating pure excitement.

Heather's sailor scout training kicked in. Her eyes darted everywhere, taking in impossible details. A group of tengu soared overhead, black wings casting intricate shadows across a market where a kappa sold cucumbers and - was that an umbrella dancing?

"This is insane," she muttered, adjusting her pink glasses.

The shrine spirits dragged her through the crowded yokai marketplace, weaving between supernatural creatures that looked like they'd stepped out of the most bizarre anime imaginable.

Finally, they reached a building. "Master Tomoe!" they shouted, bursting through the door.

Tomoe sat with two women, looking thoroughly unimpressed.

"You want something?" he asked, irritation dripping from every word.

Onikiri and Kotetsu launched into their complaint. "You've abandoned your shrine! Heather Tsukino is the new Land God, and you don't even care!"

Tomoe's ears twitched with annoyance. "A human? As a Land God?" He let out a dismissive laugh. "Impossible. Humans are weak, unpredictable. They can't handle the spiritual responsibilities of a shrine."

"And yet," Onikiri interrupted, "Mikage chose her. Marked her directly."

Something in Tomoe's expression shifted. Curiosity mixed with skepticism.

"Not only is she human," Kotetsu added mischievously, "but she has ice powers and is a Sailor Scout!"

Tomoe's eyes widened. "You brought a HUMAN to the yokai realm? Are you insane?"

That's when they announced Heather's arrival.

"What?!" Tomoe exclaimed, seeing her in the doorway.

Ice crackled around Heather's fingers - a physical manifestation of her fury. Her hearing had caught every single word. "I can't believe you've abandoned your home so easily!" she screamed. "This is YOUR shrine!"

She spun on her heel and stormed off, frost patterns trailing behind her like a frozen temper tantrum.

The World Over Yonder had no idea what had just hit it.

And Tomoe? He was about to discover that this human was anything but ordinary.
