Chapter 3: 💋Sealed With A Kiss💋
Chapter 3: Sealed With A Kiss
The breakfast spread was nothing short of miraculous. Heather stared in wonder at the perfectly arranged meal - traditional Japanese breakfast with more dishes than she'd ever seen in one sitting. Steam rose from a delicate miso soup, perfectly grilled fish sat alongside pickled vegetables, and a small pot of green tea completed the scene.
"Eat up!" the shrine spirits chirped, their translucent forms hovering just above the table.
Heather took a bite, her eyes widening. "This is amazing!" she mumbled through a mouthful of rice. Her sailor scout appetite - inherited from her sister Usagi - was in full effect. She was halfway through her second helping when suddenly-
Mamoru's voice cut through the peaceful morning.
Her fork clattered against the ceramic plate. Frost immediately began to spread across the breakfast table, tiny ice crystals dancing around her fingers.
"Where's Tomoe?" she whispered frantically to Onikiri and Kotetsu, the shrine's guardian spirits.
Their mischievous grins should have been her first warning.
"Tomoe is in the yokai realm!" they announced in unison. Before Heather could wipe the miso from her chin or grab another piece of fish, they grabbed her hands.
A portal - an actual, swirling, supernatural portal - opened beside them.
"Wait, but I'm not done eating-" Heather started to say.
But the spirits were already pulling her through, a half-eaten piece of fish still clutched in her hand.
Behind her, she heard Tuxedo Mask's desperate cry. The other Sailor Scouts' voices blended into a chorus of shock.
And then - darkness. Magic. The sensation of falling between worlds.
Heather Tsukino, Sailor Scout and newly appointed Land God, was about to have the most complicated day of her life.
Again.
