"where the hell is everyone?", kugisaki asked, to which the edo group of students had glanced around as they've been slashing low grade demons here and there.

most of the shamans were perched at the top of the trees — spread out — like owls, watching over the students to make sure that nothing went wrong. meanwhile the two principals kept track of the talisman that were slapped onto the wall, which burned every time a demon was exorcised.

"who knows, and who cares", itadori hummed.

"it is strange that we haven't seen a single one of them yet though...", yoshino chimed in, glad that he was able to participate even though he felt that he was the weakest out of the group.

"salmon", inumaki agreed.

"maybe it's because this forest is superrrrr big", itadori laughed, to which fushiguro had only hummed.

"or maybe they know something that we don't", panda stated.

"huh? something we don't know? like what? gojō-sensei said that he—"

"come on~ are you even trying?", a sadistic voice mocked, to which everyone had froze up as they realized who that was coming from.

"s-s-S-SUKUNA?!", itadori yelled, to which fushiguro and maki had facepalmed as now the demon's attention was diverted onto them.

"oh, it's you brats. go away. I'm handling some business right now", sukuna shooed, waving his hand as he stepped on one of the third years from heiankyo — nishimiya momo.

"HEY STOP! YOU'RE HURTING HER!!", itadori shouted, taking a step forward as he momentarily stopped when he heard sukuna scoff.

"yeah, no shit. and if you brats don't leave in ten seconds, this'll be you", sukuna warned, crossing two of his arms and his other two rested on his hips.

the demon king had decided to wrap the top half of his kimono around his waist — leaving his scarf around his neck — so that it'd be easier for his four arms, as he thought that the teenagers would've been more of a challenge.

"I don't care that we're on opposing teams. I'm saving her nevertheless", itadori courageously declared as he charged in first, with the rest of the edo students clicking their tongues as they couldn't just ignore the boy and leave.

fushiguro immediately summoned nue — an owl-like shikigami that can fly — as panda and maki charged in, meanwhile kugisaki readied her nails and hammer.

sukuna made an annoyed expression as he stepped off of the girl that had passed out from pain.

the demon king combed through his pink locks as itadori threw punches here and there, with yoshino joining in as the two were suddenly held in place when sukuna clenched onto both of their fists, swinging them into the trees and nearly breaking the trunks.

the nue had promptly swooped down to try and scratch sukuna with its talons as the yōkai king easily avoided it, meanwhile kugisaki had started throwing her nails at sukuna, narrowly missing.

maki charged in with her long naginata polearm with a black cursed tool blade, moving exceptionally fast as sukuna had whistled at the girl's speed in acknowledgement.

"talented, but still not good enough", sukuna muttered as he grabbed the weapon's blade — causing blood to spill out of his palms — and swung the weapon along with maki towards panda and fushiguro.

inumaki then unzipped the top portion of his special kimono uniform, getting quite close to sukuna as he had spoke with solidity.

"don't move".

sukuna froze momentarily as nue's claws had taken that second of distraction to dig its talons into sukuna's shoulders, dragging the male up into the air as the pain had made sukuna quickly snap out of it.

"nice work, inumaki-senpai!", fushiguro complimented, summoning another one of his shikigami as the students from heiankyo had finally appeared, seeing that their comrade was out.

"MOMO!", a girl with blue hair — miwa kasumi — yelled, hurrying over to her friend as she checked for any consciousness.

"what happened to her?!", miwa questioned, to which mai had nearly scoffed as she saw maki slightly struggle to stand up after being thrown so roughly by sukuna.

"she got stepped on", panda honestly replied, to which mai, kamo, and miwa had glanced over at the nue that was currently gripping tightly onto the yōkai.

"come on! we've got to exorcise him now!", mai shouted, motioning for tōdō aoi — a male with a muscular build and a top ponytail — along with muta kōkichi — alias: mechamaru — to join the girl that had brought out her shurikens.

before the heiankyo students could get to sukuna, a giant serpent had emitted from the grounds, courtesy to fushiguro.

the great snake bit sukuna, to which the nue had let go of the demon, a terrible mistake.

sukuna chuckled as he took the bottom and top of the snake's mouth and ripped it in half, all the way down it's slithering body.

fushiguro's eyes widened as kamo, itadori and yoshino has finally returned, about to charge in before sukuna had grabbed the nue, who was fluttering its wings above him, and slammed the bird-like shikigami six feet underground.

using the blood shed from sukuna's shoulders, kamo had manipulated it to where it had wrapped around the male's body: crimson binding.

sukuna scoffed, landing his feet deep in the ground as he broke free of the binding blood, punching itadori and yoshino in the stomachs as tōdō was next up, quite a bit more advanced than the two.

kamo had taken this chance to fire a long-ranged beam of blood with extreme piercing capabilities, successfully threaded through sukuna's body multiple times as inumaki had coughed out, "freeze!"

kugisaki then threw many of her nails, with a few hitting the demon's hands as fushiguro had hastily summoned his divine dogs, who kept sukuna in place with each dog biting the ankles of sukuna's legs.

meanwhile mechamaru — who possessed the technique of puppetry — had thin strings that could cut one's circulation (if not careful) tied around all four of sukuna's wrists, rendering him unable to move.

mai then hurled many shurikens, with miwa and maki stabbing sukuna once more with their long-ranged weapons as tōdō, yoshino, panda, and itadori all jumped in sync, nearly about to punch sukuna before the male had let out a chuckle, making shivers run down their spines as he looked at them with a crazed expression.

"sorry, but she's watching and you brats are just weak", the yōkai muttered as he immediately broke his wrists free from mechamaru's thin strings, promptly slicing off his wrists as they regenerated insanely fast.

sukuna promptly caught tōdō, panda, itadori, and yoshino with his four arms as he gripped them so tight that they thought their bones would've cracked.

swinging them in a circle three times, the male harshly threw them at their comrades, knocking the other shamans in training down as kamo's blood piercing beams had slithered out of sukuna's body.

the demon king pulled out the spear, from maki, miwa's katana as he held both blades, sticking them deeper into his body as the two girls — who were shocked — were immediately thrown towards the rest of their classmates, joining them on the ground.

sukuna then picked out the shurikens and nails, taking out the long-ranged weapons as he scoffed, meanwhile his bloody body healed itself.

"pathetic. I didn't even use my domain expansion", sukuna mocked, walking over to mai and kamo as he stepped on their heads, leaning down with a mad grin.

"still think I'm just another one of those demons that can easily be sealed away? watch your tongue the next time you two speak to her", sukuna lowly warned.

mai had let out a dissatisfied grunt as everyone had suddenly glanced up at the voice.

"ryōmen, that's enough", kiyo stated, walking over with satoru, mei mei, nanami, and iori as the demon had instantly stepped off of the injured students.

majority of them propped themselves up with their forearms as they watched kiyo walk over towards yoshino and fushiguro.

"can you all get up?", kiyo asked, to which most of them had nodded as the priestess along with the instructors had helped their students up.

miwa, who was a bit more scarred up than others, watched as the goddess herself, gojō kiyo, approach her with a helping hand.

'oh my gosh. oh my gosh. oh my gosh. IT'S THE GOJŌ TWINS!!! SHE'S SO PRETTY AND HE'S SO HANDSOME!! SHE'S HELPING ME UP!! calm down kasumi, calm down. maybe I can ask for a signature from the both of them', the blue-haired girl internally fangirled as she kept on a kind smile on the outside.

"my apologies for how rough he is. though with shōko's help, you and the rest will be up and ready to go in no time", kiyo assured with a smile, making miwa's heart bloom with idolization.

"by the way, who won?", itadori asked, to which everyone had then remembered that they were competing against each other, and not with sukuna.

"both schools tied, so we decided to hold a kenmari competition in a few days time!", satoru happily answered, to which all the students were taken aback.

"KENMARI?!"

also, I know mai uses a gun in the anime/manga, but this ain't no 21st century so-

and mechamaru's going to be in a normal body b/c I said so and b/c I can :)
