"who the fuck do you think you are, making deals with me?", sukuna scoffed.
"the person that's got you trapped right now. so if you want to get out, I suggest you start listening", kiyo replied, making sukuna frown at the girl's snarky attitude.
"usually when people ask me for something, they bow down and kneel so low that their heads are touching the ground".
"well I'm sorry I don't meet your expectations, your highness", kiyo mocked, to which sukuna debated whether it'd be better to just try and punch through the barrier.
"you know, you really piss me off", sukuna stated, gritting his teeth.
"that's truly an honor, as I've heard that the great yōkai king has never given in to others' satires", kiyo smiled, to which sukuna had deeply breathed as he put up a grin.
"so, what was it that you had wanted to compromise on?", sukuna asked.
the male had planned to get out first and get the damn bracelet off before anything. as long as he could gain back his full power, he was willing to hear what the girl had to say, at least for the time being.
"first, you will not hurt anyone as we travel together. second, when we are in the presence of other humans, you must transform into your human form so that you don't scare them off. and lastly, I do not ask for you to cooperate with me, but I do ask that you do not get in the way of my work".
sukuna scoffed as he quickly agreed.
rules will not apply to him and never will.
kiyo quickly left, leaving the yōkai king confused.
"OI! I'M STILL TRAPPED HERE! COME BACK, YOU BITCH!!"
after angrily kicking the barrier for a good five minutes, it finally dispersed as sukuna was able to step outside the shrine.
hesitant, the four-armed male had jumped down from the step and onto the stone one as he suddenly caught a fabric that was thrown at him.
"what—"
"it's satoru's. I'm sure he won't miss it", kiyo interrupted as she was still in her red hakama and white kosode with a long circular basket full of arrows and a package of money and food slung across her body.
kiyo held a lengthy black bow as she had swiftly turned around, meanwhile sukuna had clicked his tongue as he shape-shifted in his human form so that he could fit into the white kimono.
picking up a small pebble after he had finished changing, sukuna had threw it as hard as he could at the girl, to which kiyo had swiftly dodged it meanwhile the rock had hit a tree and made it fall sideways.
"was that necessary?"
"you said I couldn't hurt others, but never nature", sukuna grinned, to which kiyo had just turned her head back around as she started walking down the mountain.
sukuna slightly frowned.
'no reaction? what a boring woman'.
sukuna trailed a few feet away as he wondered whether that rock would've been able to hit the girl or not. after all, he knew he couldn't get his hands on her, but perhaps he'd be able to slice her in half with a weapon.
kiyo almost never left the gojō household and cursed shrine alone, as it was her duty to make sure that sukuna was sealed without any demons or humans trying to interfere.
though now that sukuna was out, kiyo was able to enjoy the outside world a bit, to which the white-haired girl was somewhat grateful that she wouldn't have to keep watch of the demon for the rest of her life while living alone.
kiyo slightly smiled as her wondrously long white lashes fluttered at the sight of the flourishing trees and flowers that seemed to wave as she walked by.
though that was quickly ruined, as a circle of flames had trapped the girl, to which sukuna had landed on a tree's branch before he was encased by the ring of fire too.
"huh? where's the famous gojō satoru? I thought you said that he was here?", one of the demons said as he exited out from behind the bushes, following by his other companion.
"that's what the other demons said! they said that gojō was traveling with...", the second demon hesitated. "...sukuna", he whispered.
"then where's sukuna?!"
"shhhh!! don't casually say his name like that! he'll kil—"
kiyo readied her bow and arrow as she aimed it at the two demons, who were still bickering as sukuna had cleared his throat.
"oi! talk anymore and you're both going to die", sukuna warned, to which an arrow had nearly pierced one of the demon's chest if it weren't for him moving away just in time.
the two froze in their spot as they witnessed the pink-haired demon king, who had taken the body image of itadori yūji, since he was the one that had set him free.
with tattoos littering his entire body, the male also had a pair of eyes under his usual ones that looked like slits as he now only had one face.
"HEY! WHAT THE HELL? SNEAKY ATTACKS AREN'T COOL!", one of the fire demons shouted, to which kiyo had tilted her head to the side.
"oh, really? should I warn you the next time I'm shooting then?", kiyo asked, to which the two demons had clenched their fists at the girl's taunting.
sukuna just observed as he wanted to see how the girl fought so that he could find a way to end her as quick as possible.
"you're really starting to piss us off!", the second demon scowled.
"so I've been told", kiyo hummed, preparing to shoot once more as the demons and jumped up into the air, trying to pin the girl down.
to think that the arrow was just some normal arrow was their first mistake, as one had successfully grazed the second demon's arm, demolishing him into dark particles.
"HOW DARE YOU!!", his partner raged, to which he was about to scratch the girl's face before he was sent back onto his bum as he was quickly pinned down to a nearby tree with four arrows to each limb.
the ring of fire had ceased as the demon struggled to escape. kiyo simply walked over as sukuna hopped down from the branch, still anticipating.
it didn't matter that the two were demons, as he could care less about anybody else other than himself.
he was selfish and greedy like that, but it was what made him so powerful, because he had no weakness and no one could threaten what he treasured as he cherished nothing.
kiyo had used one last arrow to send the being off as she watched him curse her as he dispersed into ashes too.
a teal bead had dropped, to which as soon as kiyo held it, it had purified into a clear jade.
"may you and your companion reincarnate as more benevolent beings", kiyo mumbled, collecting her arrows as she stuck them back into her little basket.
the girl dropped the tiny bead into a small pocket that held the other one as she stuffed it back into her kosode.
"tch. low level demons like them will only ever reincarnate as a plant at most. there's not point in praying for them", sukuna stated.
"perhaps, but at least they won't be vengeful, and they'll bring others a peace of mind as blooming flowers", kiyo smiled, continuing on the trail with sukuna.
"that's dumb", sukuna insulted, to which kiyo had only shrugged it off.
"maybe so, but it makes me wonder what you'd reincarnate as", the girl whispered.
"I won't, because I won't ever die", sukuna cockily grinned.
"perhaps a tree??", kiyo wondered out loud, ignoring sukuna's comment.
"do you feel like dying today?", the yōkai threatened.
kiyo lightly chuckled.
"I was just playing, sukuna".
