16- VALENTINE'S DAY SPECIAL- Part 1
I'm really late on this but better late than never, right? It took a lot longer than I thought it would, but here it is! Valentine's Day Special!
Now, for this, I was thinking "What ship should I do?" and then I just said, "Hey, it's the day of love so just do as many as you can think of!"
So that's what I did!
These are all little shorts of various ships and what they do (Or try to do) on Valentine's Day!
That way, ALLL THE SHIPS happen and there's no ship war.
I swear, if you start a ship war...
ANYWAYS, enjoy!
Morning- Caken
Cody
At the crack of dawn on the day of love, all was peaceful.
For about two minutes before the blaring alarm jerked me awake. I sighed, blindly feeling around before finding and smashing the clock until it stopped.
However, I didn't get up. The alarm wasn't for me, but rather the one laying next to me, groaning loudly.
I felt them shift a bit, but go still again. I waited for them to get up, but when they didn't I huffed. I sat up and nudged the tired being, speaking as I did. "Kraken.... Kraken, come on! You have work!"
"Five more minutes..." He grumbled back, sinking deeper into the pillow. I narrowed my eyes. Quickly taking up my pillow into my hands, I slammed it into his body, finally getting his eyes to flicker open. They narrowed on me. "HEY! I said five more minutes!"
"We both know you aren't going to get up if you don't now." I gave him a look, making his head fall back and another groan emitted from him. Though he would hate to admit it out loud, we both knew I was right. "Now get up or I'll make you."
KrakenKid gritted his teeth and avoided my gaze. "Fine, fine." He muttered and slipped out of the bed. Satisfied with my work, I snuggled back under the covers. As I heard him shuffle around the room, he spoke again. "I feel like you don't truly appreciate how great it is to be able to sleep in." The kraken mumbled it under his breath but clearly loud enough so I could hear.
I cracked a smile. "You say that practically every day."
"Yeah, well, do you blame me? If you had to wake up every day at..." He paused for a moment. "4:30 AM, you'd complain too!"
I snickered to myself. "Did you seriously forget what time you wake up even though you wake up at 4:30 every day?"
KrakenKid hesitated. "... Shut up penguin."
"Hey! Be nice, it's Valentine's Day!"
For a moment, it went silent, but then KrakenKid started to dig through something. I opened my eyes to peek at what he was doing, only to find seconds later I was being pelted by something small and hard, almost like slightly bigger pebbles. When it stopped, I popped up to investigate and found it was chocolates, all wrapped in colorful foil. The kraken stifled a laugh. "Happy Valentine's Day then."
I raised an eyebrow. Unwrapping a chocolate and popping it into my mouth, I shook my head. "Someone hasn't had their coffee, have they Kranky?"
"Ohhhhh, don't remind me. I'm going to go fix that right now." KrakenKid swam away, leaving me to sleep. My eyes shut again and started to drift when a pitiful wail came from down the hall. I rolled my eyes and stumbled out of the king-sized bed and slowly made my way down to the dining room. There, KrakenKid's face was on the table with the coffee maker, pot and the case that held the coffee grounds all in front of him.
"Uh... Kraken?" I asked, poking my head in.
"Whyyyyy! There's no more coffeeeeeee. Cody, I can't go work at 4 in the morning without it! I can barely function at 8 without it!"
I sighed and left for our room, quickly pulling out my gift bag for him and headed back. "Here." I threw it across the room, having it slide on the table, almost reaching the kraken. His head bobbed up and he quickly grabbed it. Opening it up, his eyes widened and snatched the coffee grounds out of it. "Happy Valentine's Day KrakenKid."
KrakenKid let out a gasp. "This... THANK YOU PENGUIN!" He shouted, getting a chuckle out of me.
Already I had made him happy, and he didn't even know about the boat thing yet.

A Gift Unlike Any Other- Cam
Cody
"Is it... Chocolate?" Sam shook her head. I thought for another moment before guessing again. "A heart shaped pizza?" Another shake. "Hmm... Oh! Steak!"
Sam snickered. "Cody, why do you keep asking if it's food?"
I shrugged. "I don't know, I'm kinda hungry." I said as I rushed to keep up with her.
Valentine's Day was something Sam had been planning for so long and hopefully, worth it. I, of course, was anxious to find out as soon as she told told me that she had a surprise for me. Now, I was starting to get more and more confused as we moved towards the lab. Right outside of the its, there it was, whatever it was in the first place. My eyes widened but I didn't say anything at first.
The machine was huge and elaborate, having all sorts of buttons and wires all over. There was a small space inside, about the size of a small bathroom and tall enough for people to fit in. I stared at it for a long time before finally asking: "What is it?"
Sam grinned. "Something I had Professor working on for a while. Here," She moved forward until she was in front of it and went inside, coming back out seconds later with some weird circular device. She quickly pressed it to my chest until it locked in and let go. It had a smaller circle on it with a ring around that. The ring was filled with an odd, thick, red liquid. I cranked his neck just to get a clearer look.
"It's a temporary time machine. It'll only work for ten minutes but I figured you could use it."
I blinked, amazed but also perplexed. "For what?"
Sam just smiled and ushered me inside. Once I was, she closed the door and started pressing a bunch of buttons. The whole thing power up and a bright light filled the room. The last thing I heard was a voice. "You're welcome."
When the light cleared, I was back in the palace but it looked a lot different. There were no painting on the wall and everything just looked new. There weren't even carpets on the ground. As I did a full 360, trying to figure out where she sent me, a strong force bumped into me, almost knocking me over. The only thing that kept me from losing balance was a hand that caught my shoulder.
"Whoa there! Sorry buddy, I didn't see you there!" A young male spoke out and I steadied myself.
"Nah, it's fine man. I'm just a little lost-..." My voice trailed off when I saw who it was.
They had tan skin and long brown hair. His eyes were a deep sea green and warmly looked over me. He smiled, making me both feel reassured and confused. "To be honest, I get lost in here all the time and I live here! Anyways, I'm Poseidon." He then paused and chuckled to himself. "But uh... You knew that didn't you? Most people do."
My mouth hung open and I was speechless. Poseidon laughed wholeheartedly. "I get that a lot too, but you really have nothing to worry about! Don't think of me as the King Of Atlantis, but just as Poseidon. A lot of people get intimidated by the whole king thing, you know?" I gulped and nodded. I couldn't believe it. Sam had managed to get me the best gift I could ask for: A moment with my father, in person.
"W-what's it like being a king for you?" I stuttered out. He thought for a moment before answering.
"Well, it's pretty hard! Not only do I have Atlantis to protect, but the world above it! It's getting increasingly more difficult to maintain both, but hopefully I won't have to do it alone for long after I-" He immediately stopped himself, his face going red. "N-never mind..."
"What?" I pressed.
"Nothing, I-... I said too much didn't I? Dang it, I was getting so close to keeping it a secret from everyone... Do you mind keeping something to yourself?"
I nodded hastily. Poseidon looked around before taking out a small box and opening it up, showing a shining ring inside. My eyes widened. "Who's it for?" I almost wanted to slap myself for asking, of course I knew who! My mom.
"A special someone. We've been dating for so long and, ohhhh, she's just so awesome! She's funny and sensible and I just know she'll make a great queen! Heck, she could probably run the kingdom without me if she wanted! I know it's a little cliche to say thing, but I want to propose today, on Valentine's Day. I really hope she says yes."
I couldn't help but feel happy for my father. "That's amazing."
"I know right? I'm the luckiest guy in the universe. I think she'll be a great mom too, and we'll have such wonderful children and-" He hesitated. "Andddd I'm telling a complete stranger my fantasies, oh boy. Looks like I ate too much chocolate."
"No, no!" I insisted, having something I always wondered on my mind. "It's fine but I have to ask, what do you think about you kids- hypothetical kids I mean."
His eyebrows raised. "Huh... Well they'd probably be an even better king than I was! Not only would they have my blood, but her blood as well. They'd probably be a natural leader, but... Good with the public as well. They'd probably have a natural knack for both without even trying!"
A warm feeling filled my soul as he spoke this. "That's... Really great to hear... I-I gotta go." I said quickly and started to leave for the stairs.
"Wait!" Poseidon called. "I don't even know your name!"
But before I could answer, the world flash white again.
I coughed and flickered my eyes open again, looking around. I found myself back at the machine and the door opened again, revealing a smirking Sam. "So," She grinned. "How'd it go?"
I couldn't say anything, too shocked to but expressed everything I needed to say through a hug. "Thank you." I whispered, tears beginning to flow from my eyes. "Best Valentine's Day ever."

What You Love- Kelena
Selena
"Watch a romantic movie?" I suggested lightly.
KrakenKid's yellow eyes squinted and after a long moment said, "Nah, I don't want to watch a chick flick right now." I huffed.
"Make heart shaped cookies?"
"Eh... Too cliche. What else?"
I groaned and leaned back into my couch. "Nothing. Everything you suggested, I declined and you said no to everything I said! It's Valentine's Day! Work with me Kraken!"
He just shrugged. "I don't know. Like you said, you didn't want to do anything I wanted to do."
"You suggested raiding the jewelry store!"
"You wanted new jewelry right? You can get all you can carry if you just steal it." I shook my head slowly.
"What part of Valentine's Day don't you get? It's the day of love! We need to do things we love, with the people we love!"
KrakenKid thought for a long moment before asking, "Well, what do you like to do? Or want to do right now? Even if it weren't Valentine's Day, or if I wasn't even here, what would you want to do?"
I paused, thinking for a long while but finally answered. "Well, my wardrobe is getting thin again so I probably need to shop again. What about you?" I decided to ask, even though I was a little afraid to get an answer like he wanted to rob the bank.
"Fishing." He grinned. "I just got new supplies too! Anyways, why don't we both go do what we love to do, with each other?"
My eyes widened. "Kraken, that's actually a really good idea! Come on!" I quickly dragged him off the couch and up the stairs. I grabbed a bunch of supplies, including my money and grabbed a long overcoat, something I had in my closet just hanging there for the longest time. "Wear this!" I tossed it onto his head, blinding him for a moment. "It'll conceal your identity, so, you know, people don't freak out that KrakenKid is going clothe shopping with me."
Down at the shops, KrakenKid was careful to keep his head down and all of his tentacles inside of the overcoat at all time. "Yeah..." He muttered, glancing around as we walked down the market's path. "This doesn't look suspicious at all."
"Shhh!" I hushed him. "You'll blow our cover! Now stop complaining and just bare with me! We're almost... Here!" I announced, proudly standing in front of the little shop.
Inside, you could easily see plenty of nice carpet, mannequins with popular clothing styles on it as well as accessories to go with it. Upon walking in, the lady at the counter looked up and smiled.
"Hello, hello! How are you two?"
"We're great!" I smiled and swam over to her. "Hey, would you recommend anything?" She grinned and held up a finger before moving to the back part of the store. Moments later, she came out with all sorts of shirts in bags and gestured over to the changing room. I thanked her and started to try them on.
"Okay, now what about this one?" I asked, coming out and twirling around to show the light pink shirt off. KrakenKid sat on a small cushion a couple feet away, his head being supported by his arms and his body bent over. His yellow eyes gazed over it and sighed.
"Like the other fifty one's, you look great in it. Selena, the last five one's you tried on were all just plain pink! We've been here for two hours! Just pick something!"
"Actually," I corrected. "They were all different shades. Anyone could see that. Now, this one is the lightest, but does it look good on me?"
"YES! ALL OF THEM DO!" He screeched, exasperated.
I hummed to myself before nodding along. "I think I'll get this one and the other two I really liked. Sorry about taking so long but that lady had a lot of suggestions and all of them are so nice!"
I quickly grabbed the ones I wanted and made my way over to the register. The kraken groaned in relief. "Finally..." He mumbled and followed behind. I quickly paid and we left the store. Walking back down and towards the tunnels, we passed the armory and I stopped.
"Oooooo.... Psst!" I gave the kraken a nudge, catching his attention. "Look! They restocked on swords! I've been needing to get a new one too! Can we-"
"Nope." He said immediately and I sighed, following him out.
When it came to KrakenKid's turn, I suddenly understood how he felt when I was doing my thing: Absolutely bored.
The beach was pretty empty so the two of us were able to sit on the sand and cast out lines, without needing the overcoat.
"So..." I cleared my throat and looked around. "You just sit here and... Wait for some innocent fish to come and get killed?" He nodded enthusiastically.
"Weird way to put it but yes! I think one is coming now too..." His eyes fixated on the water. "See those bubbles? That's my next victim." I tried to look where he was looking but I still couldn't what he was saying.
"Uhh... Yeah... Interesting."
Without warning, his fishing pole started to tug and he quickly reciprocated, matching the power and then going beyond, managing to pull it out of the water. It splashed about making me back up but the Tide Changer was persistent. After a long battle between the two, KrakenKid was victorious and proudly showed off a large carp.
"Look at this guy! He's HUGE!"
Though I couldn't understand how he found this so fun, I found myself giggling at his actions. His passion for fishing actually was pretty cute. I started to wonder to myself if that's how he felt when I was trying on all the clothes. "Nice one Kraken." I gave him the thumbs up, getting an even more prideful smile out of him.
Doing the things you love with somebody you love? Not bad for Valentine's Day.

Cute- Kanith
Tanith
Though I had read it a thousand times over, once again, I found myself trying to understand how exactly this holiday worked.
"What?" I mumbled to myself, shaking my head back and forth. "What does that have to do with chocolate? Why do almost all of these holidays have some sort of dark backstory? I mean it's not like mine are too much better but sheesh! Execution? How does this at all pertain to giving people chocolates in a heart shaped box or roses?"
Eventually, I pushed the book back in defeat. "I'll never understand how this society works will I?"
Today was another confusing holiday called "Valentine's Day" and I was planning on celebrating it with KK. He was supposed to come over at 7 PM, which currently meant I had only an hour left to figure out how it all works. I moved through my house, making sure I had everything before sitting down again and trying to read over what I already knew.
I don't know how long I was doing that, but eventually the back door opened and I whipped around, smiling at who it was.
There he was, KrakenKid, standing there and looking around. His eyes slowly gazed over my house and he let out a long yawn. "KK! Hey!" I greeted, and gathered the gifts. "According to the book, I am supposed to give you chocolates and roses so here! I have no idea how that relates to the history of it, but enjoy it anyways."
The kraken accepted it and nodded along. "Thanks... You know, I think I was supposed to be the one who gives you the things..." His voice trailed off and he just shrugged, stumbling over to the couch and plopping down. I raised an eyebrow but followed.
"KK? Are you okay?" He nodded and yawned again.
"Y-yeah... Really tired though, today was kinda busy. So many people choose to take the day off that my duties were doubled. Anyways, what did you want to do again?" His yellow eyes rose up to meet mine.
Getting the book out again, I flipped through before landing on something interesting. "Well, we could watch a romantic movie or... Make brownies? I still don't get this. The history of Valentine's Day said that Saint Valentine married a bunch of Romans and then got killed for it, what does that have to do with that? Or-" Before I could speak more, KrakenKid's head slumped down and onto my shoulder. I froze up, turning a bit pink as he slowly fell asleep.
"That tired huh?" I whispered and let out a chuckle. My head bopped up and I searched for another place to shift him before he fully slept but failed to do it. I was stuck being his pillow.
I eventually decided to make the best out of it and shifted my body so I could stretch out on the couch while also keeping him close. His head rested against my left shoulder and a bit of the couch cushions. Careful not to wake him, I wrapped my arms around his waist, a bit worried that he'd fall off any second. During this time, he remained fast asleep.
And it wasn't long before I joined him.
It was hard to tell how long I was there for but eventually I awakened again. He still remained asleep in my arms, even though the outside was brightening up again. I sat there for longer than I thought I would last, and couldn't help but think he was kinda cute. He curled up, similar to a kitten would and even had the slightest of smiles in his sleep. All of this made it harder to wake him.
I tried to see if there was anything I could do to pass the time so I could let him rest but before I could decide on something, the front door opened and in walked the King Of Atlantis.
"Hey Tanith, do you mind if I borrow-" His voice cut off and his eyes widened when he saw the purple being, sleeping on my couch and being protected by my arms. "Uh.... Is that KrakenKid?" I nodded. "What is he doing here?"
"Sleeping. He's had a long day, let him sleep. Now what did you need?"
Cody's brown eyes moved from the Tide Changer to me and eventually took a step back. "Uh, never mind. I can borrow Professor's potion stand, he has like twenty. You... You just keep doing you... Bye." He said quickly and left, shutting the door behind him. I might have gone after him to ask what that was about but then KrakenKid began to stir at the sound of the door being shut.
He groaned and his eyes flickered awake, but then filled up with confusion when he saw me. "Morning!" I smiled. He blinked and echoed my words, sitting up and looking around.
"Did... Did I sleep here?" I nodded. "Oh, uh, sorry about that. I couldn't really help it."
I just waved it off. "It's fine. You're actually really cute when you sleep." His face started to turn a brighter shade of red.
"Why does everyone say that?" He mumbled and I couldn't help but giggle.

WOO! That's part one! I have no idea when part 2 will come out, but it will contain a lot more other ships, like I'm planning on doing a Crofessor one!
Anyways, this was released a little early to tame the ship war going on in one of my books so, just enjoy whatever you ship and it doesn't matter who ships what, because in the end we can all agree, Shipping is fun. Whether your OTP is one pairing, or another, in the end, we are crazy fangirls who love to ship. One big happy family :)
Anywho, I hope you enjoyed this! I had a lot of fun making it! Be sure to comment your thoughts and goodbye!
