01: SMELLS LIKE RAIN

After many hours of only running, Reginald stops in the middle of the forest and finds herself soaking wet. And while she didn't drink anything in a long while, she feels refreshed and dehydrated at the same time. Not knowing where else to go with her father possibly intent of torturing her alive, she leans on a tree trunk as persistent rain and thin vines all around swirl and cover every part of the forest. No food. No water. No home.

Suddenly, the sound of soggy footsteps fill her ears. Out of fear, she pushes herself to hide behind the massive tree trunk she is leaning on. After all, all she has now are tired, frail legs - too tired to keep on running away from the vengeful man after her, whom she also once called father

"ENOUGH! JUST DROP IT! DROP THE PARASOL!"

"NO WAY! AND WHY CAN'T YOU JUST CALL IT AN UMBRELLA?!"

"JUST DON'T! AND YOU KNOW THAT I GREW UP IN THE UK!"

"UH, NO. I DID NOT KNOW THAT. AND SECOND, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"

"WHO CARES ABOUT A STUPID BROLLY, DUM-DUM?!"

"UM, HELLO! WE'RE IN A RAINFOREST?! YOU THINK PEOPLE WON'T NOTICE?!"

Weak yet intrigued by their conversation, Reginald leans on the tree trunk and listens to the two quietly as they pass by her.

"That what, genius? That what? Nobody's here!"

"Well, you're wrong! What if someone sees us? Huh?!"

Confused, she steps out to confront them but immediately falls to the ground before she could say another word. One of them screams while the other squats to help her up, holding up her head and asking the other to do something. Her vision starts to blur until she can see nothing else and the only thing she hears last is... a voice, calling her by another name.
