Dragonets under the age of four are prohibited from ultimate jobs such as queen, seer, advisor, soldier etc. they are considered minors and cannot employ, nor can they join the Truce Island Council(2) at this time, although they can go through local schooling. At the fateful season of Autumn when a LeafWing's scales often resemble an orange or gold, they will seek out a tree native to their birth, by sheltering under it, yielding their scales to the leaves above (note: only can this occur in the daytime) and have mental acceptance of metamorphoses; only in this manner can a LeafWing earn its Wings, thus gaining flight and several other maturing abilities such as a more atoned whistling abilty, and signals through air currents.
