The fight between Hidan, Asuma, and the rest was quite boring to you. Until of course, Asuma used his Burning Ash Jutsu.

"Kakuzu... is Hidan going to go into that mode?" You asked.

"It appears so." He replied. Once the flames died down, Hidan had black and white markings all over his body while Asuma had burn marks all over his right side. You then proceeded to hear Hidan officially lose his sanity.

"Oh lord help him." You said.

"Which one?" Kakuzu sassily replied.

"I'm thinking more Hidan than anyone else..." You muttered. He took his metal pole and jabbed it into his leg, causing Asuma to fall on the ground. You saw the pure looks of confusion on Shikamaru's, Kotestu's, and Izumo's faces. You turned back around to see Hidan laughing his masochistic head off.

"He needs professional help..." You muttered.

He's sort of scaring me...

Even I'm a little terrified of him.

'MAN UP!'

Hidan then pointed the rod towards his heart, where, if he stabbed himself, Asuma would die. He started to plunge the rod to his chest, but Shikamaru somehow stopped him with his Shadow Possesion. For the next two minutes, Hidan and Shikamaru kept battling over dominance.

"If this keeps up, I'll lend a hand. Lord knows if Kakuzu loses his money it'll be hell for the other members." You said, stepping up. You could see the panick arise in the three Chuunin's.

"I told you to butt out...! I can handle this...!" Hidan shouted.

"Yeah, because that's exactly what you're showing me..." You replied boredly. You turned your head to Shikamaru and saw he was in deep thought.

'He's probably thinking of a strategy or a way to break the curse.' You thought. In about two minutes, he was already explaining how Hidan's ritual works. Shikamaru slowly led Hidan out of his circle from his Shadow Possession. Once he was out, Hidan completely lost it. However, more shadows came, and impaled him to the point where he couldn't move anymore. Asuma brought out his his chakra blade, and transfered chakra to it while limping towards Hidan.

"Oi! Kakuzu, Y/n, lend me a hand!" Hidan screamed. You just stood there, amused.

"Hey! Snap out of it!" He screamed again, Asuma coming closer.

Hey, aren't you going to help him?

'Just watch...'

Asuma swiftly slashed his blade, effectively cutting his head off. Shikamaru retracted his shadows, and his body went falling to the ground.

"If you wanted help, you should've said so sooner." You and Kakuzu said at the same time.

"You were too slow, Kakuzu! Y/n! You did that on purpose, didn't you?!" He screamed. This caused the four others to stare in horror.

"Of course we did. But you were the one who told us to butt out—"

"— so are you really in any position to complain?" Kakuzu finished.

"Well, I did order you to hold back, but don't think—"

"Hidan... shut up..." You said, your eyes flashing black and red. He shut up almost immediately.

"Just bring my body to me." He said. Kakuzu walked past you and picked up his head.

"O-Oi! What are you doing?! Bring me my body!" He said.

"This is lighter." Kakuzu replied.

"I got it." You said, grabbing his body and slinging it over your shoulder rather roughly.

"THAT'S STILL MY BODY!!" He screamed.

"Yes yes, that's exactly why I did it." You retorted.

"Y/n. Bring that thing here." Kakuzu ordered.

"I'M NOT A THING!!" Hidan yelled. You nodded, walking over to him and placing Hidan's body down. He placed his head back on his body, and proceeded to sew it back on.

"Ow!! That hurts!!" He complained.

"I thought pain was pleasurable?" You said to him.

"Not this pain!" He complained. Once his head was sewed back on, he stood up and cracked his neck multiple times.

"If you move a lot, it'll come back off." Kakuzu said.

"Hidan, just finish your motherfucking ritual so we can leave." You groaned.

"Heh, with pleasure." Hidan said, walking over to Asuma.

"Kakuzu, deal with those three." You said, turning your attention to him.

"You didn't need to say that." He replied.

"Huh? What about you?" Hidan asked.

"I'll be your understudies." You said, sitting down and healing your wound you received earlier.

"Hmph! Lazy ass— GAH!!" Hidan ducked down sharply, because you threw your scythe at him. 

"Unless you want your head to be cut off again, I suggest you don't provoke me." You hissed.

"Women." He muttered. You sat down and observed the fights between the two Akatsuki members. Kakuzu, who was fighting Kotestu and Izumo, attacked him in a coordinated fashion by Izumo trapping him in some sticky syrup, and Kotestu swinging some weird sword at him. Once you saw Kotestu swing the sword at the trapped Kakuzu, you did handsigns.

'Demon Style: Scorching Flames!' You thought as you blew out flames from your mouth, successfully melting the syrup and freeing Kakuzu. He unsewed his hands and wire-like hairs flew out, chasing after the two Chuunin's and soon he got them. His hands started strangling them while Shikamaru was too exhausted to do anything. You looked over and saw Hidan plunging the rod into his chest.

Time was frozen and you could hear everyone's erratic breathing and heartbeat. Shikamaru ran past your vision to Asuma and you saw something you thought you'd never live to see happen.

He was crying.

Asuma fell to the ground, unconscious, as Hidan pulled out the rod. Hidan's body returned to its normal color and he retracted the rod, putting it away.

"I'm done here." Hidan said.

"I'll be another minute." Kakuzu said.

"Why you son of a gun!!!" Shikamaru screamed while running at Kakuzu. However, Kakuzu just whipped Izumo into Shikamaru, sending them both to the ground.

-gasp-

"Hidan! Kakuzu!! Ignore them!! We have to leave! Now!" You screamed.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Hidan asked. Then a huge flock of crows flew down and surrounded you three.

"THAT!" You screamed. You then did handsigns.

"Demon Style: Demonic Possession!" You screamed. The crows eyes turned from black to dark purple as you led them back into the sky with your hand.

"Hn. Reinforcements." You muttered. You saw Kakuzu jump onto the building where Team 10 was located.

"I'm not giving up my bounty." He said. Then Aoba jumped up as well.

"I'll keep him busy!" He said. Kakuzu started to run, but you appeared and put your arm out with your sword in hand. You saw Ino's and Choji's eyes widen.

"Y/N?!" They both yelled.

"What do you think you're doing?" His deep voice asked. You ignored the two and faced Kakuzu.

"We don't have time for them. It's almost time for that. We already got the other bounty, correct? We should be fine for now. You can search for another bounty when we're done with that." You replied. He stared at you for a good minute, before giving in.

"Fine." He gave in.

'What? How could she just change his mind like that?' Shikamaru thought.

It's almost time to seal the two tails. Come here immediately!

"Told you. Now, let's get going." You said, grabbing his wrist and jumping off the building next to Hidan.

"Don't worry, we'll be back. Also, there's no point in bringing him to the hospital, he's going to die anyways." You said with an emotionless face.

"Why?! Why are you doing this?!?!" Ino screamed, leaning off the side of the building.

"You were our comrade right?! How can you just turn on us so easily?!" She screamed. You didn't say anything and just kept staring at her with a blank face.

"Let's go you two. We don't have time." You said, ignoring her and putting your hands in the rat formation. Black flames started swirling around your feet as it whisked up sharply. Once the flames died down the three of you were gone.

The next step is to seal the Two Tails.
