Background

I actually wrote this earlier today in an attempt to get myself out of writer's block. It's basically just me yelling at myself for not writing and for being lazy. Enjoy!

Okay, that's it. Get up, stop sitting around. Yeah, I get it, you're lazy. So terribly, horribly, painfully lazy.

But come on, you're brilliant!

Alright, a bit of a lie, but we're full of them, so just accept it as true.

No, don't argue with me, don't complain about writer's block. I know the real reason you won't write, even if you're still in denial.

You have the worst work ethic I have ever seen. You've never had to work for anything, after all. Everything gets done easily, and you typically pass with flying colors. Just things that you have no reason to do, don't get done.

Why should you have to work for it, anyway? Let it all be unfinished.

I'll tell you why you have to work for it. For them.

Not just your little friend circle, but for all the silent readers, everyone who's left a vote on your stories. All of them!

They want to see it finished. You want to see it finished. Can't you just muster a bit of creativity somewhere deep down in that shallow, dark, nonexistent soul of yours?

Hell, if you can't at least finish The Lady of Ravens or Qintar, at least write a short story or two.

Otherwise, all that creativity of yours will get backed up again, and we both know what happens after that.

Last time wasn't pretty, so let's avoid that, shall we?
