"Growing Up was my Dream And
Childhood is my Wish"
     
      

As a little kid,
How dearly I wished for to grow up as fast as I could;
Because I assumed I could live carefree as I wished for,
Without realizing the consequences of what
It actually took to be carefree.
   
   
When I was a grown-up kid,
All I ever dreamt was to plan for my grown up self in future;
Because I assumed I would possess whatever I wished for,
Without realizing the compromises
I'd to go through just to get a life.
  
   
When I was a proud teen,
All I dreamt was to enjoy the moment and live through it;
Because I assumed I would had enough time to cherish those memories,
Without realizing the heartbreak
I'd to go through to be an adult.
   
   
When I was in my late teen,
All I dreamt was a grand success with a hefty amount in hands;
Because I thought money and power mattered the most,
Without realizing the struggles
I'd to put in to have an affordable life.
  
    
Now that I'm in my phase of already being an adult,
All I wish is to turn back time,
Try reliving the moments I once dismayed;
Because I've got many regrets in my baggage
Now that I realize what it takes to walk through this path of Inferno.
   
   
Now that I know what it means to be an adult,
I wish to reverse the time back again,
And savour the memories in my epiphany
Because I've got none to share my loneliness with,
Now that I realize how it feels live embraced in my insecurities.
    
    
And now that I'm proved what it takes to be a helpless adult;
All I wish for now is to have a genuine smile like I used to,
And my heart no longer longs for more because
Growing up was once my dream but now,
Childhood is my only wish.
   

Ever stopped for a moment and wished to relive your childhood days?

[For me, it's a wish which will never come true.
I wish I could turn back time and relive it again.
But yeah, I get it.
