~ Not mean, brutally honest ~

"I don't understand, Noah hasn't texted me in a few days. Before that, we would text on a regular basis." Olivia sighed as she stared down at her phone.

"Maybe that's a good thing." Brooke sighed as she looked in the mirror at school. "You probably just dodged a bullet. I mean, look at you. You're so hot, and he's so not."

"Brooke, don't be mean." Riley said to her.

"Not mean. Brutally honest." Brooke corrected her. "It's a different shade of mean. Speaking of." Brooke smirk as she lifted up an all too familiar lipstick container.

"Wait, is that Nina's lipstick?" Riley questioned her.

"Yeah, well someone has to fulfill the lipstick power vacuum." Brooke smiled as she put on the lipstick. "Oh, come on. She'd love that I was carrying on her legacy. Right, Em?" Emma didn't answer. "Em?"

All three girls turned to look at her. "What?" She questioned them.

"What is with you?" Brooke asked her.

"Emma, you okay?" Olivia asked her.

"You're not beating yourself up about that St Mary's chick, are you?" Brooke sighed as she spoke. "I'm sorry for Audrey, but it wasn't any of our faults."

"No." Emma shook her head. "I just can't believe that Nina's gone, you know?"

"She's with us in spirit." Riley spoke softly.

The girls, after that, walked out of the bathroom only to be bombarded by Will. "Hey, Emma. You've got a second?" Emma nodded.

Brooke grabbed Olivia's arm, and walked over to her locker. "Please tell me you didn't give Jake a second chance." Brooke sighed.

"What if I did?" Olivia smiled as she spoke.

"I know I already insulted you're creepy little slasher movie fan, but you could do so much better than Jake." Brooke opened her locker slowly. "I just don't think he's the one you want to be wasting your second chances on."

"Brooke, I like him, and he likes me." Olivia smiled at her friend. "I don't see why I should be worried."

"He already made you upset after like a day, imagine what he could have done after a month." Brooke stated as she shut her locker, having gotten all the things she needed. "Let's get to class."

The two walked in and saw Jake sitting in his normal seat next to Olivia's with a smile on his face. "What's got you in such a good mood?" Olivia smiled back at him.

"I get to see you, why shouldn't I be in a good mood?" Jake winked at her as the bell rang.

"Aristotle asked, why are we here?" Branson stated as he started his next lecture. "What is the meaning of life in the face of death." He rummaged through different things in his room, trying to find the dirty picture Brooke had left for him.

"I bet Tyler's wondering the same thing right about now." Jake stated with his signature smirk.

"Thank you, Jake." Branson mumbled. Jake chuckled, and was given a few high fives.

"Aristotle, also, understood that volatile relationships, well, they can lead to tragedy." Branson continued on.

"Looking for something, Mr. B?" Brooke smirked as he looked behind the tv.

He froze for a second before continuing on. "We're all looking for something, Brooke." He moved to another place to look. "See, desire, that's at the heart of drama. Love, power, money." He searched a new place with each word. "I'm talking about Jason and Madea. I'm talking about Antony and Cleopatra. I'm talking about Emma and Kieran."

Emma's head popped up at the sound of her name. "Excuse me?"

"I'm splitting you into partners-" Branson's eyes had finally wandered to the picture hidden behind his whiteboard, "and you will perform a dramatic scene for the class. But let's not limit ourselves. We can choose something contemporary like movies. Audrey and Will."

Will looked back at Audrey who was glaring at him. "If you suggest the pool scene for Wild Things, I will end you."

"Or if that's too much for your attention spans, pick a favorite tv show." Branson's eyes wandered around the room to pick his next pair. "Olivia and Noah." A smile appeared on Olivia's face when Noah looked over at her with the same smile. "I'll even allow popular fiction. Jake and Brooke."

Brooke's jaw dropped. "How about fifty shades of grey." Jake smirked at her.

"In your dreams, mouth breather."

"Alright, everyone, let's get down to the library and I'll pair the wrest of you up there." Branson stated. "Let's go."

Olivia sat across from Noah in the library, of course getting nothing done. They were just naming off their favorite movies. "I'm actually in love with marvel movies." Olivia smiled.

"And I thought you couldn't get any cuter." Noah laughed. "Of course Harry Potter is on the list."

"You've been writing a list?" Olivia looked down at the piece of paper in front of him.

"Yeah, the ones we've been listing, plus some." Noah smiled.

"Lemme see." Olivia snatched the paper, and then looked up at him with wide eyes. "You want to do the exorcist?"

"Of course!" Noah was overjoyed by the question. "'The power of Christ compels you!' Loads of drama."

"No." Olivia laughed as she shook her head and crossed the title off the list. "Really, the titanic?" She cocked her head to the side.

"Yes." Noah nodded. "How about the scene on the balcony with the whole arm holding stance." Olivia laughed and quickly crossed it off the list.

"Why are there so many romantic movies on here?" Olivia asked him.

"Well, romance always comes with a bit of drama, so I just added those as some options." Olivia shook her head as she listened to his explanation.

"Why don't we do something we both love." Olivia smiled.

"And what would that be?"

"Friday the Thirteenth, Nightmare on Elm Street, Saw."

"How could I have not thought of those before." Noah laughed as the bell rang.

"Come on, babe." Olivia heard behind her, and saw Jake. "I'll walk you to class."

"And that's my cue to leave." Noah awkwardly grabbed his bag. "Bye Olivia." She waved as he left.

"Thanks, but I think I can walk by myself." Olivia let out a small laugh.

"I know," Jake smirked at her, "but it seemed like the boyfriendly thing to do, so..." He held out his hand for her, and she smiled, and took it.

Olivia stood in the kitchen, making some toast as Emma sat at the table, drinking coffee. Maggie walked inside. "Why did you tell me you're Daisy?"

"Excuse me?" Olivia's eyes widened. "Em, why didn't you care to share this information with me?"

Before Emma could answer, Maggie spoke. "I was trying to put that part of my past behind me."

"But it isn't, is it?" Emma questioned her.

"Someone knows?" Olivia moved to sit at the table next to her sister.

"Mom, they sent you a heart in a box." Emma sighed as she spoke.

"Why didn't anyone care to tell me any of-"

"I'm dealing with it." Maggie cut Olivia off.

"Are you?" Emma snapped a bit. "I'm pretty sure that the same creep who's harassing you is the same guy calling me."

"Seriously, are there secret family meetings that I'm not invited to or something?" Olivia sighed as she put her head in her hands.

"He called you again?" Maggie asked her. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Well, she didn't even tell me he called her once, so..." Olivia muttered under her breath.

"Do you really wanna start comparing lists of secrets right now?" Emma asked her mother.

"It's like I'm not even in the conversation." Olivia breathed out as she sat back.

"What did he say?"

"That my life is a lie." Emma answered her mother. "That you're a liar. Awful things."

"Believe it or not, but this is the same thing I was trying to protect the two of you from." Maggie sighed as she spoke.

"Really?" Emma asked her. "I heard you talking to the sheriff this morning and it really sounded like you were just trying to protect yourself." Maggie turned around, and Emma stood up. "Unless you wanna start giving me answers to the mysterious questions you can answer. Like why is the sheriff looking for dad?"

"One other thing I didn't know." Olivia groaned. "I give up." She stood up and looked over at the two. "I'm going over to Noah's to work on our project. Have fun knowing even more things that I don't."

*

When Olivia arrived at Noah's, he told her that he wanted them to work somewhere else. This made Olivia laugh. At the moment, Olivia stood in a room, with a blindfold, and Noah standing right behind her. "Well, this is kinky." Olivia smirked. "Are you sure this is necessary?"

"Yeah, I want it to be a surprise." Olivia heard a smile in Noah's voice.

"As long as I don't end up in your freezer." Olivia joked.

"I never did get the stuffing bodies into a freezer thing." Noah laughed a bit. "They probably taste better at room temperature. Just ask any zombie." Olivia let out a laugh. He pushed her farther into the room, and let go. "I will be right back."

"Alright." She smiled as she heard footsteps walk away from her. She stood there for a moment, before she got worried. "Noah?" she questioned.

"Okay, you can take the blindfold off."

Her hands reached up, uncovering her eyes. They widened as she saw the multiple televisions in front of her, all playing different video games. "This is where you work?"

"For a maximum of twelve hours a week." Noah chuckled. "That's all I can do, according to the apartment of minor labor guidelines."

"This is amazing." She smiled as she walked closer to him.

"Well, when we couldn't agree on a movie, I realized that you didn't even know the best drama out there." Noah smiled at her. "It's in video games. I mean, the cut scene in That's The Last Of Us. Oh my god, it's heartbreaking."

"You really get me, you know that?" Olivia smirked at she moved to the couch. She grabbed one of the controllers, and looked up at Noah. "You ready for me to beat your ass?"

Noah chuckled. "You can try." He grabbed the other controller and sat down next to her.

*

About ten minutes later, Olivia's phone started going off like crazy. "What the hell?" Olivia murmured at she looked down at the screen. She had over ten messages from her friend group. Riley had told them all to meet her at the cafe. She had something really important to talk to them about.

"What is it, Olivia?" He asked her, seeing the distress on her face.

"I'm really sorry, Noah, but I gotta cut this short." Olivia sighed. She did not want to leave. "Riley needs to tell us something really important." She got up and headed for the door. "I'll text you tonight."

*

"You really just left him hanging?" Jake smirked at Olivia as he sipped his coffee. "You didn't give him anything to remember you by?"

"Nope." Olivia shook her head.

"That sounds unlike you." Jake stated.

"Well, I'm with you." Olivia smiled before kissing him. She pulled away quickly though. "And I'm pretty sure you would kill him if something happened between us."

"Very true." Jake smiled before kissing her on the cheek.

Just then, the rest of the group came over, and Riley was the last one to show up. "So, I was just watching Game of Thrones, and then Tyler texts me. He says he needs our help."

"Did you text him back?" Emma asked her.

"Yeah, he said he didn't do it." Riley told her friends around her. "But he's afraid that no one will believe him."

"I don't believe him." Brooke shrugged. "I told him to turn himself in."

"Wait, he texted you, too?" Olivia questioned her.

Brooke nodded. "Same time as Riley. He's probably suffering from psychotic killers remorse."

"It's not him." Emma sighed. "Guys, someone has been calling and harassing me."

"Was that what was going on in the alley the other night?" Will asked her.

"He's playing games with me." Emma nodded. "He texted you pretending to be me, and he's probably doing the same thing right now."

"Why would some guy be pretending to be Tyler?" Olivia asked her.

"I don't know." Emma shook her head. "But I promise you guys, it's not him."

"Em, I have no idea who's screwing with you, but I know Tyler." Riley sighed. "He's afraid, and we need to hear him out."

"Riley, we need to go to the police." Emma shot back at her.

"So he can get shot, just like Brandon James?" Riley snapped a little bit.

"Riley, I love you, I do," Brooke said to her, "but Tyler might have killed Nina." No one said anything until Brooke raised her hand. "I vote cops."

Emma agreed, silently, by nodding her head. Jake nodded after, followed by Olivia and Will. Riley scoffed before speaking. "If he gets hurt, I'm blaming you."

Riley quickly walked out. Emma called out her name before following, along with Brooke. "I should probably go with them." Olivia sighed and Jake smiled and nodded. "I'll call you when everything clears up, okay?"

"Yeah." Jake kissed Olivia's forehead before she left the coffee shop.
